Jenny’s Choice
My pick today is the new comedy on Hulu, Dollface. According to Hulu, the show “follows Jules (Kat Dennings, 2 Broke Girls), a young woman who – after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend – must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.â€
I’m not entirely sure what that means. It’s rather a bland description. But the cast is what makes this interesting for me. Beside Kat Dennings, who I’ve missed since 2 Broke Girls, it also stars Brenda Song (who I watched on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody) and Goran Visnjic (who I LOVED on ER, but I never watched Timeless, Extant, or Red Widow, so I haven’t really seen him since), as well as new-to-me Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars) and Esther Povitsky (Alone Together). I’m not sure I’ll actually watch the show, although I’m sure I’ll probably try the first episode because of Brenda Song and Goran Visnjic.
The entire first season is out now on Hulu.
I’ll also be watching American Housewife, Nashville Squares, Hawaii Five-0, & Blue Bloods.
