While it’s nice to have an extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day, it just seems like the days are shorter—this whole week has been flying by. As a result, I’m still falling behind on TV, and I’ve reached the stage where even several brand new shows have already amassed 2 or 3 unwatched episodes on my TiVo—it looks like this weekend I will need to make some swift evictions from my DVR. So to help you decide which shows should stay on your season pass list, we’ve got some suggestions.
Kyle’s Choice
One underrated entry in NBC’s Thursday comedy lineup that I really enjoy is 1600 Penn. Last week, Skip discovered that a special letter he received from his father while away at summer camp had actually been written by his aide, Marshall. So Skip used his podcast to confront the President. Meanwhile, Emily and Becca butted heads over what classes Marigold should be taking.
I find 1600 Penn, and Josh Gad in particular, to be extremely hilarious. The show is a great blend of slapstick and classic sitcom situational humor. Plus, no matter how crazy everything gets, they always manage to mix a little heart into every episode. I have really been enjoying the whole Becca and D.B. relationship—how it started off due to circumstances but has been growing into something real—so I’m glad to see he’s back in tonight’s episode.
On tonight’s episode, “Game Theory,” Emily helps Skip prepare for a big date; Becca and D.B. paint a mural for a special room; and Dale and Xander face off in a game of Risk.
See how Skip’s date goes tonight on NBC at 9:30/8:30c. Learn where to find episodes online of 1600 Penn @ TV.com.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Elementary, Grey’s Anatomy, Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Glee, Archer, Legit, and Nathan for You.
