If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/8/13

I am loving all the snow we’ve been getting because winter is really one of my favorite seasons. I don’t even mind driving in it. My pet peeve is everyone else who is driving in it. You know who I’m talking about… The genius who is going 20 mph in the fast lane on the highway, even though the road is clear—those paste eaters are what causes accidents. If you don’t feel comfortable driving in snow, STAY HOME!! 🙂 Now, onto a less ranting part of the post… Tonight is filled with excellent new TV, so let’s see what you should be watching.

bluebloods28smallBlue Bloods still sits on the list of shows I watch live as often as I can because of the quality cast. The story lines at times are a little slow moving, but the cast makes me love the show regardless. I will admit there are times when I’m watching that I see Donny Wahlberg and suddenly get the urge to sing “Step by Step,” but that’s part of the charm. He’s sexy as the no-nonsense detective, but my heart is wrapped around Jamie (Will Estes). That boy can make a girl swoon. *sigh* Okay, so I may have more reasons for watching than just a love of crime dramas… Sexy casts go a long way to entice me. 😀

On tonight’s episode, “Men in Black,” before a Hasidic Grand Rebbe passes away, he chooses his youngest son to succeed him. But when the new appointee dies suddenly, Danny investigates the oldest son and others within the Hasidic community. Meanwhile, Henry reveals a family secret to Frank.

To see if Danny can solve the murder in such a close-knit community, tune into CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.

I’ll also be watching Touch, CSI: NY, Spartacus, and The Job.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/14/12

Yesterday, I got the itch to change things up and got my hair cut shorter again and dyed it blue/black—I’m loving it. Sometimes, a little change is all we need to give us a pick me up—and that’s what today is, as well! It’s the first time in a while there has been decent Friday television for me to suggest, so let’s get to it.

Tonight is a new, previously-unaired, episode of Touch, and I am looking forward to it. This show captured the hearts and minds of so many people when it debuted last spring. I love the relationship between Martin (Kiefer Sutherland) and his son Jake—it’s a complicated but moving connection. Jake is a special boy, and his ability to deal with numbers has helped save many people. I’m really curious where they are going to go with this and exactly when we’re going to figure everything out about Jake.

On tonight’s episode, “The Road Not Taken,” after Martin’s car breaks down in the place where he got his first job as a reporter, he risks losing an old friend when he suspects that his mentor is part of something illegal.

To see what tangled webs Martin runs into, tune in to FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Touch @ Clicker.

Interview with Bodhi Elfman from Touch

If you haven’t been watching Touch, you have not only been missing out on some amazing television but a fabulous cast, as well. Recently, I was given the chance to sit down and have a chat with Bodhi Elfman, who plays Abraham. We chatted about his character, his life, and his guilty pleasures. Bodhi is witty, engaging, and totally random – including a nice moment of embarrassing me to start out with about my Canadian accent and saying “aboot” instead of “about.” *shrug* It happens. 🙂

Jump ahead and check out some more details about this entertaining guy. Continue reading

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/31/12

We’re nearing the end of the week, and there’ve been some great shows on this week. Tonight’s no exception, so read on to find out what we think you should be watching. 🙂

Jenny’s Choice

What a season premiere it was for Rookie Blue last week! The story with the kidnapped girl was great and only made that much better by what I believe to be an Emmy-worthy performance by William Shatner as the grandfather who was a drunk and crashed his car into the van he believed to be carrying his granddaughter, who disappeared at the fair with him 7 years before. He put on an emotional performance that damn near had me in tears. Of course I loved the Sam & Andy moments, such as him picking her up at the airport with a sign that read “Dummy.” And so far, I like the new rookie, Nick, who was…engaged to Gail?! That’ll be interesting to watch the fireworks between the two of them… And Noelle is about 3 months pregnant now, but it doesn’t look like anyone but Frank knows. Hmm, wonder when that will come out!

On tonight’s episode, “Class Dismissed,” the theft of an armed police car tops the list of dangerous pranks as local schools wind to a close for the summer. While tracking down the stolen vehicle, Andy and Swarek pick up the trail of a hotheaded teen boy who robbed and violently assaulted a notorious local criminal – who happens to be his girlfriend’s father. Andy and Swarek must find the armed teenager before disaster strikes.

Don’t miss a moment starting at 10/9c on ABC. Learn where to find episodes online of Rookie Blue @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/DVRing Duets & Men at Work.
