Megan’s Choice #1
Grey’s Anatomy has been delivering this season on the emotional story front—I must have used a whole box of kleenex last episode. It was a very hard thing to watch April and Jackson struggle over the fact that their son was going to die; and it was even harder to watch Jackson pray to a God that he doesn’t believe in because he loved April so much. Losing a child is such a terrible thing, but this show has never shied away from difficult and uncomfortable topics. They instead choose to tackle them with grace and emotion. I was a ball of emotion last week, yet the show managed to have a few amusing moments thanks to Meredith trying to find a sitter for her kids for the weekend. Maggie came through for Meredith in the end, and I’m glad because I really want them to keep building this sister relationship. I’m interested to see where they’re going to go with all these characters now, especially Jackson and April.
On tonight’s episode, “The Great Pretender,” Maggie gets upset when Meredith dodges her questions about DC; Bailey and Ben become concerned about Ben’s brother after he is admitted to the hospital, and Dr. Herman starts to warm up to Arizona. Meanwhile, Richard feels manipulated by Catherine.
To see what is causing Meredith to be so tight-lipped about her trip, tune in to ABC at 8/7c.
