TGIF! It has been a long week, especially with all the moving we did last weekend. Moving + pregnancy makes for a cranky, tired TV journalist. 😉 With all that in mind let’s get to a little bit of news and then let’s all go to sleep and have delicious dreams of Shemar Moore, Alex O’Loughlin, David Boreanaz or whichever television star makes you drool. Personally, I’ll take all three. 😀
Unfortunatley, for any fans out there, NBC has cancelled Undercovers, after only airing 7 episodes, with no order of the back 9. I was not a huge fan, but I thought this series had promise. The survey would say that I’m not always right, too bad. We’ll see where the next step takes the genius that is J.J. Abrams. Farewelll, Undercovers may you all land on your feet. Source
That is honestly the only bit of news that is worth writing about for the time being. Perhaps after we get settled there’ll be more interesting news to report. Sweet dreams my lovelies, have a great weekend.
Recently, stars Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw spoke with the press about their new show, Undercovers, premiering tonight on NBC at 8/7c.
From JJ Abrams (Lost, Alias, Fringe) comes Undercovers, a sexy, fun, action-packed spy drama that proves once and for all that marriage is still the world’s most dangerous partnership. Outwardly, Steven Bloom (Boris Kodjoe) and his wife, Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Doctor Who), are a typical married couple who own a small catering company in Los Angeles and are helped by Samantha’s easily frazzled younger sister, Lizzy (Jessica Parker Kennedy, Smallville). Secretly, the duo were two of the CIA’s best spies until they fell in love on the job five years ago and retired. When fellow spy and friend Nash (Carter MacIntyre) goes missing while on the trail of a Russian arms dealer, the Blooms are reinstated by boss Carlton Shaw (Gerald McRaney, Deadwood, Jericho, Major Dad) to locate and rescue Nash. The pair is thrust back into the world of espionage as they follow leads that span the globe — and Steven and Samantha realize that this supercharged, undercover lifestyle provides the excitement and romance that their marriage has been missing. Also starring is Ben Schwartz (NBC’s Parks and Recreation).

It’s Thursday, and just in case you think you’re losing it, I did indeed miss Wednesday’s news. I had some internet issues yesterday and I had difficulty getting on to post last night. I’m going to make it up by being here tonight! 🙂 So let’s take a look at some news.
Mekhi Phifer, who plays Agent Ben Reynolds on Lie to Me, will no longer be on the show. The Lightman group is going a little “rogue” this season and they won’t be working with the FBI. I’m a little disappointed because I love Phifer, but I’m sure he’ll go on to another great show and we’ll fall in love with him all over again. What do you think?Source
