If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/15/13

Spring is finally here, and while the temperatures haven’t exactly been warm around here, at least it hasn’t been snowing as much. I’m looking forward to all this snow melting and getting into some spring/summer activities, like hiking and camping! For now, though, I’m going to curl up with some tea and catch up on some Friday night TV. I’d love you to join me! Here’s what we’re watching.

Megan’s Choice

grimm315smallGrimm is one of those shows that has you laughing while, at the same time, sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense. Last week was filled with some intense love scenes and some crazy confrontations between Nick/Renard and Juliette. I am ready for this whole love triangle to be over because it’s definitely dragging my romantic heart through the mud. Although, the truce between Nick and Renard is going to make things interesting when it comes to Adalind… Speaking of which, how about that positive pregnancy test? Insanity all round.

On tonight’s episode, “Natural Born Wesen,” a group of Wesen go on a string of robberies fully morphed in front of humans, a serious violation of the Wesen Code.

To see if Nick can catch the Wesen before they disturb the human world too much, tune in to NBC at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Grimm @ TV.com.

I’ll also be watching Blue Bloods, Cult, and Kitchen Nightmares.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/6/12

It’s Friday night, thank goodness. For a short week back (for most of those of us with kids in school or with jobs that had a long break over the holidays), this week seemed to stretch forever. Settle in, give us your remote control, and we’ll guide you the best way we can to your end of the week relaxation!

Megan & Jenny’s Choice #1

Megan: It’s been 4 years, 106 episodes, and now it’s time for Wizards of Waverly Place to come to an end. Selena Gomez isn’t a young teenager anymore, and it’s time for all these actors and actresses to move on to bigger and better things. I’ve enjoyed the journey, even though it’s supposed to be a “kid’s show.” The comedy was well presented, the family dynamics were entertaining, and it was always nothing less than entertaining. It’s been a interesting journey, and it all ends tonight in a fantastic spectacle.

Jenny: Ask my husband or son, and they’ll tell you I’m kind of addicted to some of the shows on Disney and Nickelodeon. iCarly, Good Luck, Charlie, and of course, Wizards of Waverly Place, which I’ve watched faithfully with my son since the beginning. I’m really sad it’s ending tonight, although I think I’m more sad that the last handful of episodes hasn’t been even more about them preparing for their final chance to become the family wizard. This is such a huge thing and it’s kind of been put to the wayside in the last good number of episodes. Still, I think it will be a fun finale, and Josh & I will be glued to the TV!

On tonight’s episode, “Who Will Be the Family Wizard,” Justin, Alex, and Max Russo compete in a sudden and ultimate competition to determine which one of the three siblings will be entitled to keep their wizardly powers, as well as the responsibilities attached to the title of “family wizard.” Bridgit Mendler & Gregg Sulkin return tonight as Justin’s vampire girlfriend Juliet Van Heusen and Alex’s werewolf boyfriend Mason.

See all the cuteness tonight in an hour-long episode on Disney Channel at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Wizards of Waverly Place @ Clicker.
