If We Controlled Your Remote… 2/2/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Megan’s Choice

sleepyhollow22smallAfter last week, I think it’s safe to say that Sleepy Hollow is finally getting its groove back. Abby and Ichabod have been on a weird path for a bit, but last week they finally got their issues off their chests and started working together like they used to. It all started with karaoke, followed by working together to track down the creepy vampire-like creature that was forcing Holly to work with her again. Turns out the creature was his aunt who raised him, but she’d undergone a ceremony to turn her into this immortal beast. She lured him in with a story about wanting to steal an artifact to help her become human again, when in reality she just wanted to get it to turn Holly into an immortal creature too. Thankfully, Abby and Ichabod managed to save the day with the help of Jenny and their impeccable team work. It was nice not to see a lot of Katrina this week, although when we did see her it was watching her do a spell on Frank. That spell was to prove he was indeed himself, but when he hugged his wife, the reflection in the window didn’t show him—weird. I’m very excited to see where this season is going to go next.

On tonight’s episode, “Spellcaster,” a warlock who triggered the Salem witch trials escapes purgatory; Henry tries to find his identity.

To see the havoc the warlock causes, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Gotham, Eye Candy, 2 Broke Girls, NCIS: LA, Jane the Virgin, The Originals, Mike & Molly, and Ellen’s Design Challenge.

Jenny’s Choice

ncisla22smallWhat a game last night, huh? I do have to say that besides a few specific ones, the commercials were…meh. But on to what I’m recommending tonight… The new episode of NCIS: LA. (Surprise, surprise!) On the last new episode, a US Ambassador was nearly gunned down when armed men attacked the US consulate in Tunisia. In the end, the team figured out she wasn’t actually the target, that one of her bodyguards was involved in a mission and had some intel that ended up getting him killed. It nearly got his commanding officer killed as well, but the team did some wicked entry into the house and were able to save him.

I love that it’s clear Kensi & Deeks are in a relationship now — they’ve figured out their thing — but it hasn’t changed anything…except now we’re seeing Kensi reach out and touch Deeks’s shoulder when she goes to her knees beside him to look at evidence, etc. I love it.

On tonight’s episode, “Black Wind,” Callen and Sam go undercover as food truck owners in Mexico to find the source of an anthrax poisoning before it’s used to create a bioweapon.

See the team stop the bioterrorism tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing 2 Broke Girls, Kids Baking Championship, Mike & Molly, Ellen’s Design Challenge, Eye Candy, & Castle.
