I have to admit that I didn’t watch any of the first season of Murder in the First, even though I love Taye Diggs. I’m not a huge fan of the concept of a single case lasting all season. But when I read the description of this season’s case, I thought I might give it a shot, so I watched last week’s premiere, and I have to say…I loved it. I love the cast – Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson, and Ian Anthony Dale, especially. And the case… Heart-stoppingly frightening. Two high school boys shooting up a bus full of students and anyone who got in their way? Scary as hell for a mom of a 17-year-old. 🙁 One of the boys was shot but he’s now under guard in the hospital, and police all over the city are now searching like crazy for the other, who is bat-shit crazy.
On tonight’s episode, “Schizofrenzy,†tensions mount as the manhunt for the missing shooter proves to be more difficult than expected. Terry is promoted to acting Lieutenant, which he soon discovers comes with responsibilities more taxing than he anticipated.
To see what responsibilities Terry faces and how the manhunt goes, tune in to TNT at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing So You Think You Can Dance, Major Crimes, Guilty Pleasures, & Top 5 Restaurants.

Devious Maids is off to a fun start so far this season. Last week, Blanca helped clean up the mysterious murder scene – Taylor said she stabbed a robber that broke into the house, but what really happened, and why doesn’t she want to go to the police? Meanwhile, Remi got accepted to medical school in New York and proposed to Valentina, but Zoila thought her daughter was too young to get married. At the same time, Zoila accepted Javier’s proposal and decided not to tell him the truth about the father of her impending baby. Also last week, Spence had promised Rosie he wouldn’t hire anyone to clean their house, but he didn’t want to do it himself, and so he tricked Carmen and Zoila into cleaning up “for Rosie” when they stopped by the house. And the episode ended with another cliffhanger – Ernesto stepped off a bus, telling customs he was there to see his wife, and showed a picture of Rosie.
Ernesto isn’t dead after all! What does he want with Rosie, and what does this mean for her and Spence? What secret is Taylor really hiding? I don’t believe it has anything to do with illegally adopting Katy – is it just me, or did it seem like that little girl was the one responsible for the murder and Taylor is trying to cover it up?! I’m looking forward to seeing what other soapy twists and drama await tonight!
On tonight’s episode, “The Awful Truth,” Zoila and Javier prepare to get married, but Genevieve insists that Zoila listens to her advice. Meanwhile, Spence goes behind Rosie’s back to protect her; Marisol debates hiring for a picky client; Carmen begins a new job; Blanca suspects her new employer is hiding a lot more than she thought.
See all the drama tonight on Lifetime at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Becoming Us, Major Crimes, Murder in the First, and UnREAL.
