Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

murderinthefirst615smallI have to admit that I didn’t watch any of the first season of Murder in the First, even though I love Taye Diggs. I’m not a huge fan of the concept of a single case lasting all season. But when I read the description of this season’s case, I thought I might give it a shot, so I watched last week’s premiere, and I have to say…I loved it. I love the cast – Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson, and Ian Anthony Dale, especially. And the case… Heart-stoppingly frightening. Two high school boys shooting up a bus full of students and anyone who got in their way? Scary as hell for a mom of a 17-year-old. 🙁 One of the boys was shot but he’s now under guard in the hospital, and police all over the city are now searching like crazy for the other, who is bat-shit crazy.

On tonight’s episode, “Schizofrenzy,” tensions mount as the manhunt for the missing shooter proves to be more difficult than expected. Terry is promoted to acting Lieutenant, which he soon discovers comes with responsibilities more taxing than he anticipated.

To see what responsibilities Terry faces and how the manhunt goes, tune in to TNT at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing So You Think You Can Dance, Major Crimes, Guilty Pleasures, & Top 5 Restaurants.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/9/14

Soccer season is in full swing in this house, so my time is usually filled with chauffeuring my daughter to games and practices. Thankfully, tonight is a night off from the busy sports schedule, so let’s see what we’re recommending to help me — and you — relax.

Megan’s Choice

masterchef2014smallI wasn’t entirely sure that I loved the new format of MasterChef, because I missed seeing all the initial auditions like we used to; but now that we’ve had a couple of weeks, I realize it makes the competition that much fiercer, which is always good. Last week, Courtney won the mystery box challenge, even though personally, I think Willie should have. Her reward was slightly evil, and it was being safe, getting to choose what the others cooked, AND saving ten people who wouldn’t have to cook. I was a little disturbed by how excited she was to have the power, and she may end up being the crazy one of the season. Speaking of crazy… What the hell is wrong with Leslie? I get that he’s older and has a lot to prove, which is all the more reason he should just shut up and cook, because from what I can see, his cooking needs a lot of work and he’s got the art of running his mouth perfected. So far, I’m rooting for Elise and Willie because I think they are nice people and really have some natural talent.

On tonight’s episode, “Top 20 Compete,” it’s the ultimate culinary war when the remaining 20 home cooks compete in the biggest field challenge in MasterChef history: feeding an army of 500 servicemen and women on a desert army base. In their first team challenge, the contestants will split into two teams — the red team and the blue team — to create a hearty meal including one protein and two side dishes. Tempers flare as both teams struggle with consistency, and every dish counts, as the troops will vote for their favorite dish and determine the winning team. Later, the losing team will face an intense pressure test featuring the all-American classic, blueberry pie.

To see which home cook will crumble under the challenge, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Whose Line is it Anyway?, Mistresses, American Ninja Warrior, 24: Live Another Day, Major Crimes, and Murder in the First.
