I know the Remote posts have been hit or miss lately. There’s not been a lot on that we wanted to recommend that we haven’t been recommending way too often. *laugh* Thankfully, the new season starts soon! Until then, I’m totally telling you that you should watch tonight’s new episode of Rachael Ray’s Kids Cook-Off.
Normally, it’s Rachael and Guy Fieri, each mentoring a team of kid chefs, but this season, it’s Rachael alone, along with a different guest mentor/judge each week. I was impressed with the kids this season. I didn’t see any who immediately grated on my nerves as being too cocky or snotty like I’ve seen in the past. Another new twist this season is that instead of all the kids staying for the whole competition and gaining points throughout via cooking challenges, with the winner being the one with the most points at the end, this season, one kid chef is going home each week, just like on most regular cooking competition shows. So that should be interesting to see how the kids (and their parents!) handle it!
On tonight’s episode, “Fast Food Feud,†the seven chefs must put their own spin on a fast food classic. Food critic and Internet video star Daymon Patterson joins Rachael to judge the results.
See who excels and who goes home tonight on Food Network at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing American Ninja Warrior, Penn & Teller: Fool Us,So You Think You Can Dance, & Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Tonight, Awkward. returns to MTV to kick off its fifth season. When we last left off, the gang was on spring break. Matty went to visit his biological dad with his girlfriend Gabby and was underwhelmed by his bio-dad. Later, Matty stopped by Jenna’s house, but her mother told him to let Jenna move on with her life and let her be happy with Brian. Elsewhere, Tamara met one of Brian’s Marine friends at a bar, and the two hit it off — so much so that Adam proposed and Tamara said yes, knowing that Adam would be shipping off the next day. However she was in for a bit of a surprise when he told her his shore leave had been extended for another nine months and that he’d like to have the wedding before he goes. Meanwhile, Jenna’s parent’s told her they are expecting another child; Sadie realized how much she loves Sergio; and in his depressed state from getting rejected from Northwestern, Jake slept with Gabby.
What does the future hold for Matty and Jenna? Can they really both move on, or are they destined to be with one another? Will Jake tell Matty that he slept with Gabby, and if so, how will he react? Will Tamara really go through with this wedding? Will Jenna’s mother keep the baby? I’m looking forward to learning what happens…and seeing what other craziness awaits in this new season.
On tonight’s episode, “Prank Amateurs,” senior pranks cause chaos; and Jenna’s vow to not think about Matty is tested when she overhears a disturbing secret.
Find out what pranks the seniors pull and what secret Jenna overhears tonight on MTV at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Running Wild with Bear Grylls, Significant Mother, Switched at Birth, Chasing Life, and Faking It.

It’s been quite a season on American Ninja Warrior, and while I can honestly say that I have been enjoying every moment, it’s all been leading up to this: Vegas! I love watching the finals because it’s the best of the best and they are going to bring it like no others. This season, we have a couple of women going to Vegas, and I am excited to see if Michelle Warnky and Kacy Catanzaro do well in the finals. I’m also looking forward to seeing what new obstacles they’ve brought for the Vegas finals, because so far, all the new obstacles in the city finals were very intense.
On tonight’s episode, “Vegas Finals,” we travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, where the top finishers from the regional finals tackle the ultimate challenge: a four-stage course modeled after “Mount Midoriyama†in Japan. Competitors will attempt Stage One, with new obstacles: Sonic Curve and Double Shock. The finalists will vie to win a cash prize of $1,000,000 and the title of “American Ninja Warrior.”
To see if any of these amazing athletes can conquer this difficult course, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching Rachael Ray’s Kids Cook-Off, So You Think You Can Dance, and Running Wild with Bear Grylls.
