I am really enjoying this latest season of Nathan For You. The series continues to deliver lots of laugh-out-loud moments with each crazy new business scheme. Last week, Nathan helped the owner of a moving company cut down his operating costs by utilizing free labor. Nathan’s plan involved starting a new exercise craze called The Movement, getting people to work for free in the name of fitness. Nathan found a fit spokesmodel who was willing to say that he lost 100 pounds just by moving boxes, and then he hired a ghostwriter to pen a 150-page autobiography about him. The book – which you can actually purchase on Amazon – includes some crazy facts about this man’s past, such as the fact that his childhood friend was Steve Jobs and that he mentored a jungle child. But this ludicrous backstory didn’t stop the morning shows and other news programs from believing in The Movement and interviewing its spokesman on air about his dramatic weight loss and unique workout routine!
I love how ridiculous and strange Nathan’s business plans are and how the show is able to blur reality and fiction such that you never quite know what is real and what is scripted. If you have never seen the show before, you should definitely check it out! Earlier this week, I reviewed (and highly recommended) the upcoming Seasons One & Two DVD, which hits store shelves next Tuesday. My review can be found at NoReruns.net.
On tonight’s episode, “Sporting Goods Store; Antique Shop,” an endorsement deal is sought for a sporting-goods store; an antique shop amends a policy regarding accidents.
See what crazy fun Nathan gets up to tonight on Comedy Central at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes Reborn, The Blacklist, The Player, Bones, and Sleepy Hollow.

Sleepy Hollow had a pretty interesting week last week with the crossover episode with Bones, and surprisingly I ended up loving it. I say surprisingly because I was unsure of how it would work out for the characters, seeing as the different worlds they work in, but the writers did a great job of making both shows relevant. I particularly loved how Brennan of all people found Abbie and Ichabod odd. She is by far one of the oddest people on TV, so it’s a fair match. Ichabod was hilarious in the lab and how his handwriting was a match for his “ancestor.” I found that a little farfetched and thought Brennan would have a harder time believing it, but that’s the job of the writers.
Pandora is proving to be a worthy foe for our favorite witnesses, but what was even more interesting was how Abbie’s boss is questioning her involvement in the case when he sees her sister meeting with the suspect in the case. Really she’s involved because Jenny is investigating the purchase of artifacts that relate to saving the world, but how is Abbie supposed to explain that? Not easily, for sure.
On tonight’s episode, “This Red Lady from Caribee,” when Pandora unleashes an iconic monster to haunt the residents of Sleepy Hollow as they sleep, Abbie and Jenny are tempted to confront a painful part of their past. Meanwhile, Abbie makes a crucial decision for her career, and Crane does his best to guide her with wisdom from his own experiences. Will Ichabod lead Abbie to the right decision?
To see which path Abbie takes, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, The Player, The Big Bang Theory, Chopped, Bones, Heroes Reborn, and The Blacklist.
