If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/12/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

2brokegirls1112smallLast season on 2 Broke Girls, Sophie and Oleg finally tied the knot in a fun, crazy, and over-the-top wedding. Max and Caroline were bridesmaids in dresses that weren’t nearly as horrible as expected, Oleg rode Chestnut into the church, and Earl walked Sophie down the aisle, only to disappear under Sophie’s huge dress. After having problems with the cupcake business all season long, Max and Caroline decided to give it more of a go. So this season should focus back more on the girls and their cupcake business, as well as their friends at the diner. I’m so glad it’s back tonight.

On tonight’s episode, “And the Wrecking Ball,” Max and Caroline team up with the diner staff in a frantic attempt to keep their businesses open when the city targets Han’s diner and their cupcake window for destruction. Also, Sophie and Oleg announce that they are trying to have a baby.

See if the gang can keep their businesses open tonight on CBS at 9:30/8:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Bones, Chopped, Life in Pieces, Man vs Child: Chef Showdown, & Beat Bobby Flay.

Kyle’s Choice

greysanatomy1112smallOn last week’s Grey’s Anatomy, it was new transfer resident Penny Blake’s first day at the hospital, and she was assigned to Meredith’s service. Meredith was super tough on her, criticizing Penny every chance she got. Richard admitted that he knew about Penny’s connection to Derek before he hired her but that he hired her in order to prove a point about not coddling Meredith. Meanwhile, April had arranged for a friend from abroad to bring a young orphan to the hospital to have Jackson remove some small tumors from his hands. However, after he had already agreed to do the surgery, Jackson discovered that the photos were several months old and the pea-sized tumors had grown tremendously, turning the boy’s hands into a club-like mess. April had hidden this fact from Jackson because she didn’t want him to say no to doing the surgery. (Of course, this is a great way to win over your spouse, who’s already thinking of a divorce!) In the end, Jackson and Callie were successfully able to restore the boy’s hands, and Jackson seemed pleased that April had pushed him. (Though not happy enough to get a drink with her afterwards.)

Will Meredith ever learn to forgive Penny and ease off on the criticism, or will she eventually chase her away? And how is all of this going to affect Callie and Penny’s relationship? Will Jackson finally forgive April and reconcile their marriage, or is it already too late?

On tonight’s episode, “Something Against You,” a high-stakes case is tackled by a team of doctors, and the atmosphere grows tense. Meanwhile, Bailey pressures Ben to evict their roommate; and Arizona enthusiastically reenters the dating scene with a new wingman.

Find out who Arizona’s new wingman is tonight on ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Heroes Reborn, The Blacklist, The Player, Bones, Sleepy Hollow, Haven, and Nathan for You.

sleepyhollow1112smallSleepy Hollow is really picking up steam the last few episodes, getting into the Pandora story arc head-on. Last week, we watched as Pandora released a woman made of wasps that fed on fear, and it targeted the most powerful of people, such as a judge and even Abby’s boss Danny. When Danny was under the influence of the sting, he was angry and suspicious of everything Abbie was doing, including about how she has Crane involved in things. Danny also confessed his love for Abbie, and that was heartbreaking because I think that Abbie still cares about him and needs to pick that relationship up. Speaking of relationships, Crane and Zoe worked on their first date, which by the end of the episode ended up going better. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the witnesses taking out Pandora. She escaped through a portal, which seemed a lot like a portal to the Underworld, so who knows what will happen next. I’m excited to find out, that’s for sure.

On tonight’s episode, “The Art of War,” when Reynolds heads to D.C. to discuss developments in the Nevins case, Abbie is left in command. Jenny and Joe deal with unexpected consequences as a result of stealing the shard, which leaves both the lives of the heroes and Abbie’s career in great peril. Meanwhile, a new, more dangerous evil force is revealed.

To see if they can deal with the danger caused by the shard, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching The Big Bang Theory, Bones, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes Reborn, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and 2 Broke Girls.
