Tonight is the series premiere of Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. Cooper Barrett (Jack Cutmore-Scott, Kingsman: The Secret Service) still doesn’t have the job he wants; he’s accidently fallen in love with his across-the-hall neighbor, Kelly Bishop (Meaghan Rath, Being Human); one of his roommates, Neal (Charlie Saxton, Betas, Hung), just can’t seem to dump his bodybuilder girlfriend; his other roommate, Barry (James Earl, Ground Floor, Glee), is a “loveable jackass” who can’t stop getting into trouble; and his 40-year-old-brother, Josh (Justin Bartha, The New Normal, The Hangover franchise) is constantly popping in to hang with the fellas and get some peace from his wife, Leslie (Liza Lapira), and their two kids. The one thing they do have is each other. As Cooper struggles to survive each of life’s many challenges – a night in jail, an inappropriate text he never should have sent, an ill-advised household pet – he will guide us through the often-messy, always-hilarious ordeal, so that our lives don’t have to be nearly the entertaining disaster that Cooper’s is turning out to be.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Bordertown on FOX at 9:30/8:30c. The show centers on two clans: the Buckwalds and the Gonzalezes. Bud Buckwald (Hank Azaria, The Simpsons) is a married father of three and a Border Patrol agent who is just a tad behind the times and feels slightly threatened by the cultural changes transforming his neighborhood. He lives next door to Ernesto Gonzalez (Nicholas Gonzalez, Sleepy Hollow), an ambitious family man, who has been in the country less than 10 years, but is already doing better than Bud – which, it turns out, is a bit of an issue for Bud. Bud is married to Janice (Alex Borstein, Family Guy), both the wisest and most oblivious member of the family. The Buckwald kids include Becky (Borstein), a socially awkward, big-boned geek; Sanford (Judah Friedlander, 30 Rock), a loser who thinks he’s a player; and Gert (Missi Pyle, The Exes, Galaxy Quest), a beauty pageant-obsessed five-year-old with a pet pig. Meanwhile, living the American Dream next door are the Gonzalezes, including Maria (Stephanie Escajeda, 100 Things To Do Before High School), Ernesto’s no-nonsense wife; their son, Ruiz (guest voice Efren Ramirez, Napoleon Dynamite); and their 21-year-old nephew, J.C. (Gonzalez), a graduate student who is engaged to Becky and frequently butts heads with Bud. As Bud and Ernesto’s paths begin to cross, their two families soon become bound by romance, conflict and, perhaps most importantly, friendship – a word that means the same, no matter what side of the border you’re from.

Tonight is the series premiere of Killing Fields on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. There are isolated places in America that appear untouched by anyone. But underneath the surface, these beautiful landscapes reveal a much more sinister reality: a dumping ground for bodies and a home to countless unsolved murders. Viewers will go inside an active criminal investigation as it unfolds. Shot in real time, the series follows the hunt for the killer on a case that went cold nearly two decades ago in the small community of Iberville Parish, Louisiana, located just 15 miles from the state capitol, Baton Rouge. In June 1997, Louisiana State University graduate student Eugenie Boisfontaine was last seen near LSU’s lakes. Two months later, her body was found nearby in a watery ditch with evidence of blunt force trauma to her head.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Pitch Slapped on Lifetime at 10/9c. The intensely competitive world of high school a cappella takes center stage in the all-new series. The pressure is on when two cross-town rival teams from New Jersey are given the chance to work with the world’s best coaches and face off in weekly competitions, crescendoing in a champion sing off. Vocal powerhouse Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect) will stop at nothing to get his team, Stay Tuned from Cherry Hill, to come out of their shells and get them in-tune while a cappella rock-star and performance coach Diana Preisler (Blue Jupiter) guides The Voices from Allendale, to harmonize their way to a win.

Tonight is also the 2-hour series premiere of The Shannara Chronicles on MTV at 10/9c. This is an epic television event based on the sweeping, best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks. Set thousands of years in the future, the story follows three heroes, Elf-Human hybrid Wil, Elvin Princess Amberle, and Human Rover Eretria, as they embark on a quest to stop an evil Demon army from destroying the world. The series stars genre favorites John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings) and Manu Bennett (Spartacus), along with young Hollywood stars-on-the-rise Austin Butler (The Carrie Diaries), Poppy Drayton (When Calls the Heart), and Ivana Baquero (Pan’s Labyrinth).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Zoe Ever After on BET at 10/9c. This is a multi-camera romantic comedy about Zoe Moon (Brandy Norwood), a newly single mom stepping out of the shadow of her famous boxer ex-husband Gemini Moon (Dorian Missick) while trying to balance dating, motherhood, a complicated relationship with her ex, and finally fulfilling her career dream of starting a cosmetics line. Zoe is surrounded by a cast of colorful characters, including her smart and precocious eight-year-old son Xavier (Jaylon Gordon), her fashion-forward and fun assistant Valenté (Tory Devon Smith), her publicist and best friend Pearl (Haneefah Wood), and sexy contractor Miguel (Ignacio Serricchio).

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of 10 Things on TruTV at 10:30/9:30c. Stand-up comedian Jamie Lee (Girl Code, Ridiculousness, Conan) takes the listicle to a new level with this combo of irreverent commentary and cutting-edge visuals. The result is a comedic countdown packed with surprising and buzz-worthy facts presented with a unique point of view.

Tonight is the series premiere of Ex Isle on WE at 10/9c. This show breaks the mold and brings a fresh new concept to the dating and relationship space. The show follows five former couples as they attempt to end their dysfunctional and at times tumultuous relationships in order to find closure, move on and form new healthy and loving relationships. The couples’ journey begins on the stunning secluded resort Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, where they are free of all distractions — no phones, no texts, no friends and no family to influence their decisions. In addition to Electra, the group will be guided through this intense and often emotional rollercoaster by Dr. Ish Major, a psychiatrist that specializes in women, children and families, who is an expert on broken relationships. Led by Dr. Ish each couple will go through a unique, multi-step process designed to help them conquer their past issues. Along the way, show host Carmen Electra will share her own relationship stories utilizing her larger-than-life personality to help the couples get comfortable with the process. However, the couples will not have time to get too comfortable because in an unexpected twist, 10 singles will arrive at the resort to shake things up and give the exes a fresh chance at love…or not. Will these couples finally end their troubled relationships and move forward?
