Tonight is the series premiere of The Girlfriend Experience on Starz at 8/7c. The series, starring Riley Keough (Magic Mike, Mad Max: Fury Road), is a reimagining of Steven Soderbergh’s 2009 critically-acclaimed movie of the same name. Soderbergh executive produces, along with Philip Fleishman, Lodge Kerrigan, Amy Seimetz, Gary Marcus, and Jeff Cuban. The Girlfriend Experience follows Christine Reade (Keough), a second year student at Chicago-Burnham Law School and a new intern at the prestigious firm of Kirkland & Allen. Working hard to establish herself at the firm, her focus quickly shifts when a classmate introduces her to the world of transactional relationships. Known as GFEs, they are women who provide “The Girlfriend Experience” — emotional and sexual relationships at a very high price. Juggling two very different lives, Christine quickly finds herself drawn into the GFE world, attracted to the rush of control and intimacy. The show also stars Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Paul Sparks, Kate Lyn Sheil, & Amy Seimetz.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Dice on Showtime at 9:30/8:30c. This scripted, semi-autobiographical half-hour comedy chronicles life in the Vegas suburbs, as Andrew Dice Clay tries to live his life while trapped in the skin of “The Diceman.” Whether he’s attempting to pay back his gambling debts, managing his sons’ heavy metal band or fending off pumped up fans, this series shines a light on the sides of Dice we’ve never seen before. Yet all the while, he dons his trademark black leather jacket and fingerless gloves, ready for a comeback. The show also stars Kevin Corrigan with guest stars Natasha Leggero, Lorraine Bracco, Adrien Brody, Michael Rapaport, Wayne Newton, Criss Angel and Rita Rudner.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Detour on TBS at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. This is a what-in-the-living-hell-is-wrong-with-this-family comedy created by comic super-couple Jason Jones & Samantha Bee and inspired by their own experiences with family trips. Jones stars as unfiltered dad Nate, who hits the road with wife Robin (Natalie Zea, Justified) and kids Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) and Jared (Liam Carroll). Every leg of their trip is fraught with disaster as they encounter one hellish turn after another. If there’s trouble on the road, this family will find it and plow into it.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Gay for Play Game Show Starring RuPaul on Logo at 10/9c. You don’t need to be gay to play, but it sure does help! This all-new, over-the-top game show is hosted by RuPaul. Shot in front of a live studio audience, contestants’ entertainment IQs are put to the test when host RuPaul quizzes them on the hottest pop culture moments. As they answer hysterical trivia questions, contestants have to decide whether to trust their own instincts or to turn to the celebrity panel for help. Then as the competition heats up, contestants pair up with one celebrity panelist and have 69 seconds to answer as many trivia questions as possible for a chance to win big cash and prizes. The panel of six celebrities features Michelle Visage, Todrick Hall, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews as regular panelists, along with a rotating panel of former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants, social influencers, and celebrities. Guest panelists throughout the season include model Amber Rose, Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story), Daniel Franzese (Looking, Mean Girls), Frankie Grande (Big Brother), comedian Heather McDonald, Jeannie Mai (The Real), Kristen Johnston (The Exes), Mindy Cohn (Facts of Life), plus social talent Austin & Aaron Rhodes (Scream Queens), GloZell Green, Joey Graceffa, Kingsley, Kyle Krieger, and Connor Franta.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Hunters on Syfy at 10/9c. When Baltimore FBI agent Flynn Carroll’s (Nathan Phillips, Wolf Creek) wife goes missing, his search leads him to a highly-classified government organization — the Exo-Terrorism Unit (ETU) — who track and fight alien terrorists. Britne Oldford (American Horror Story) plays Regan, a valuable ETU operative keeping secrets of her own. The gritty sci-fi thriller also stars Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck) as the dangerously unhinged terrorist, McCarthy.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Iron & Fire on History Channel at 10/9c. Backwoods blacksmith Daniel Casey is one of the most skilled craftsmen in America. Using raw steel and ancient timber, Daniel hammers out a variety of historic weapons for a roster of highly discerning collectors and enthusiasts. Based in a close-knit community deep in the Ozarks, tradition and family are close to Daniel’s heart, but at the end of a long, hard day, he’s all about fun as he kicks back with buddies to test his creations. The result is a jaw-dropping array of exploding targets, speeding bullets and razor sharp knives.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of The Real Housewives of Dallas on Bravo at 10/9c. A natural expansion for The Real Housewives franchise, the extravagant, over-the-top city of Dallas is deeply rooted in Texan pride, where people believe that if they are lucky enough to live in the Lone Star State, they are lucky enough. The series delves into the lives of five sophisticated southern socialites — Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken, and Brandi Redmond, along with their friend Marie Reyes — as they climb their way to the top of the city’s most exclusive circle. With big wallets, big hearts and even bigger drama, these ladies prove why you don’t mess with Texas, let alone a Housewife.

Tonight is the series premiere of Living with Funny on Oxygen at 9/8c. The show documents the entertaining lives of five rising comedians and the women who share the spotlight with them. Showcasing what happens when these entertainers drop the mic and head home to their family, friends and significant others, the comedic series follows Brandon T. Jackson and girlfriend Denise Xavier, DeRay Davis and girlfriends Coco & Caro, Michael Blackson and girlfriend Georgia Reign, Erik Rivera and wife Katie Rivera, along with bachelor Adam Hunter. For these funnymen, the jokes don’t stop just because the show does.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Game of Silence on NBC at 10/9c. Four best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that you can’t hide your past forever. This gripping new drama is about friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice. Jackson Brooks (David Lyons, Revolution) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to a wonderful woman who happens to be his boss, Marina (Claire Van Der Boom, Hawaii Five-0), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm, but his world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years. Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond James, True Blood), and Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate, Rush) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Brennan, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life. But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon when a well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie (Bre Blair, Last Vegas) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility, where their lives were changed forever. Now, 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced, uprooting a mystery even deeper than their buried past. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past — a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite an unquenchable thirst for revenge.

After a grueling first week, two teams face off at the Elimination Tower, a daunting four-story obstacle course that determines which teams will stay on and which team goes home. Hi Jenny, I wanted to post to just say thank you for your diligent work in creating this listing every week. I find it incredibly helpful and valuable for knowing what’s coming up on TV and your list is always crazy accurate. I imagine it takes a good bit of time to compile this each week which is why I wanted to ask if you provide any way for users to donate to you. If so, I would love to!

    Thanks,

    -A Fan

Unfortunately, I don’t use Paypal anymore, so other than that, I’m not sure… 🙁
