If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/11/16

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice #1

macgyver1111smallLast week on MacGyver, Mac had to go undercover in prison to help break out a Mexican drug kingpin in order to track the guy back to his cartel’s secret location so they could shut his organization down. Unfortunately things were a lot tougher than they anticipated. While Jack was undercover as a guard and was able to get Mac some of the things he needed, Riley was unable to connect up to the prison’s system because they’d recently done an update that blocked her way in. So Mac was pretty much on his own and had to get creative real quick. He was able to break himself and the drug guy out, but the drug guy then figured out Mac wasn’t on the up-and-up (or is that the down-and-down? LOL) and started to torture his identity out of him, but Mac started to fight back and then Jack and the good guys burst in right in time.

I had two favorite parts to this episode. We got to see Riley be vulnerable, remembering her time in prison and worrying about Mac. That was great. And when Mac was trapped in the bad guy’s trunk, he started flashing Morse code using the tail lights, hoping someone would pick up Jack’s name and phone number and call him and Jack would get the message that Mac was in trouble. That was pretty awesome!

On tonight’s episode, “Corkscrew,” when MacGyver comes face to face with Murdoc, an international assassin hired to kill him, Mac must defend both himself and Bozer, armed with only a corkscrew and paper towel rolls. Also, Bozer feels completely betrayed when he finally learns Mac’s true identity. David Dastmalchian guest stars.

See how Bozer deals with the truth about Mac tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

hawaiifiveo1111smallHawaii Five-0 had a very important episode last week, with Catherine coming back to get Steve to come help save his mother. Steve had time to come to terms with both ladies by the end of the episode. I think we’ll get to see Steve move on better now that there’s some closure with Catherine. Grover tried to get his son to find out who Grace is dating, but judging by how he kept dodging it, even before I read the description for tonight’s episode, I thought they were dating each other but didn’t want their dads to know. The saddest part of the episode was Chin Ho having to say good-bye to his niece. My heart broke for him, and I hope something better comes from this soon.

On tonight’s episode, “Hana Komo Pae (Rite of Passage),” while Danny chaperones Grace’s winter formal, terrorists seize the venue and hold everyone hostage in order to kidnap a diplomat’s son. Also, Danny and Grover are shocked to learn that Will is Grace’s secret boyfriend.

See how Grover and Danny deal with their kids being in a hostage situation tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Blue Bloods, Hell’s Kitchen, MacGyver, Gold Rush, and The Exorcist.

Jenny’s Choice #2

bluebloods1111smallIt’s a CBS night for us here at TV Is My Pacifier! My second pick is Blue Bloods. Last week, Danny and Anthony had to work together when a key witness in Danny’s case is killed just before testifying. Boy, the tension between them… Neither liked working with the other! Fortunately, they figured out a way to do it, and because of that, they got the bad guy. Of course they did! This is Blue Bloods, after all! Also, poor Frank was dealing with Robert Lewis was back and tried to force Frank to publicly support the Attorney General’s investigation of excessive force in the department. Frank wasn’t happy about it, especially after he got misquoted on something he said during lunch with Lewis. So when they had a joint press conference, Frank took the opportunity to set the record straight and turn the table on Lewis, who wasn’t happy. In the end, Lewis basically threatened Frank, saying that he was going to be investigating everything he possibly could, making Frank’s life a living hell. LOL And on a sad note, Jamie and Eddie got a call about a jumper. Jamie talked the guy (who was brokenhearted after finding out his girlfriend had cheated and they’d broken up) down, only for the guy to go to the ex later and beat her to death with a baseball bat. Jamie took it very hard, although it wasn’t his fault. The doctors who said the guy was sane and not a danger to himself or others and released him from the hospital were definitely partially at fault!

On tonight’s episode, “Personal Business,” after Emily Harrison (Danielle Savre) tells Danny and Baez she’s concerned her abusive ex-boyfriend will repeat his behavior with his new girlfriend, Emily becomes the prime suspect when he’s murdered. Also, Eddie gets jealous when Jamie lets a young woman crash at his apartment, and Frank must decide how to discipline a sergeant after he fails to intercede during an armed robbery while off duty.

Learn what Frank decides to do and see if Eddie’s jealousy goes anywhere tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, Last Man Standing, & Hawaii Five-0.
