Tonight, the surreal comedy Man Seeking Woman returns for its third season on FXX. This highly-creative series follows the adventures of hopeless romantic Josh Greenberg (Jay Baruchel, How to Train Your Dragon, Undeclared) as he tries to find love again after being dumped by his longtime girlfriend. As the third season opens, Josh meets Lucy (Katie Findlay, How to Get Away with Murder), and while the pair immediately find love, Josh is not really a hit with Lucy’s roommates.
I had forgotten just how much fun this show was until I checked out tonight’s premiere. While this is the show’s third season, those who have never seen the series before can easily jump in and thoroughly enjoy tonight’s premiere. (Though I would highly recommend checking out the hilarious first two seasons.) The series is so cleverly written. I love the way that the writers depict these universally familiar aspects of relationships through seemingly ridiculous and surreal storylines. For example, tonight’s episode starts off as a timely parody of border security/illegal immigration as Lucy’s roommates try to keep Josh out of their apartment. Tonight’s premiere had me smiling throughout. Katie Findlay is an adorable and fun addition to the cast, and I look forward to seeing how Lucy and Josh’s relationship plays out over the upcoming episodes.
On tonight’s premiere, “Futon,” Josh and Lucy fall in love but struggle with the living arrangements.
See if Lucy and Josh can make things work tonight on FXX at 10:30/9:30c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Speechless, Modern Family, black-ish, Match Game, Criminal Minds, Blindspot, Lethal Weapon, Frequency, and Incorporated.

Oh my goodness! I have to be honest… I didn’t see the last two episodes before the winter break of Blindspot until a few days ago. And so much happened in those two episodes! Jane thought she’d found out what the big plans were, but come to find out, her “mother†had been playing her for a while and knew Jane wasn’t really on their side anymore. Shepherd ordered Roman to kill Jane, but instead, he turned the gun on Shepherd. Jane got loose and she and Roman escaped, but only after both Shepherd and Roman were shot. Jane patched him up, and because she’s determined to save him from himself, when he basically started saying he should have just shot her, etc, she injected him with the same drug that was used to erase her memory. She hopes that by doing that, he’ll wake up and join her on the side of the FBI.
Unfortunately, that means we still don’t know what the big plans are for Sandstorm. When Jane thought she’d figured it out, she called in to the FBI, but that was a setup and nearly got the rest of the team killed when the building she directed them to got blown up by Sandstorm. Well, all but Weller, who rushed to the hospital after a phone call he thought was from his baby mama’s boyfriend, saying she’d been in a bad car accident. When he got to the hospital, he realized he’d been played, so he rushed to where the team was, just in time to help pull them out from the wreckage. Reade has been hurt badly, but I’m sure he’ll be okay. Someone who might NOT be okay is Patterson, who showed up at Dr. Borden’s house, only to see him with a ring on that looked like the ring Jane had described. She figured out he’d known Jane before and must have been a spy for Sandstorm. He chased her with a gun, and they wrestled for it. A gunshot rang out…and that’s where they left it.
Eek! So how are things going to go with Roman and Jane now that Jane’s officially out of Sandstorm and Roman is memory-less? Will Reade be okay? Is Patterson okay?? And will Weller finally quit flirting and sexing it up with Nas (who, by the way, is under fire from AUSA Weitz) and start to get closer to Jane again? I can’t wait to find out now that the show is back starting tonight!
On tonight’s episode, “Nor I, Nigel, AKA Leg In Iron,†Patterson is missing…and a newly amnesiac Roman is on the loose. Jane and Weller must race Shepherd – and the clock – to find them before it’s too late.
See if the team can find Patterson and Roman in time tonight on NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Goldbergs, Lethal Weapon, Cooks vs Cons, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, Modern Family, Property Brothers, black-ish, Chicago PD, & Match Game.

Code Black had me crying on the last episode because it was such a well written and incredibly acted emotional roller-coaster. The hospital lost power in the middle of a code black in the ER. Unfortunately, the backup generator wasn’t fixed yet, so the hospital was out of power. They started taking patients to a nearby hospital, and a few stayed at Mercy because they were unable to be moved.
Ethan was taking care of an elderly woman who was suffering from dementia and who had a broken pelvis that was causing internal bleeding. The woman thought Ethan was her former lover who died in the war. He played along and gave the woman peace as she passed on, and I sobbed. It was such a moving story about lost love that stays with you forever and the impact a compassionate person can make.
Also during this episode, Angus met a beautiful doctor over at the other hospital, and they hit it off. I’m interested to see how he does with a new love interest. He’s definitely overdue for some happy story line.
On tonight’s episode, “One in a Million,” Leanne defies Campbell’s order and uses the hospital helicopter to reunite a family for the last time. Also, Willis and Noa use a cell phone app to communicate with a young girl with autism.
Find out if Leanne pushes Campbell too far this time tonight on CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Criminal Minds, Blindspot, Lethal Weapon, Cooks vs Cons, Law & Order: SVU, Star, black-ish, Match Game, and Chicago PD.
