Tonight is the series premiere of The White Princess on Starz at 8/7c. The White Princess picks up three days after the conclusion of The White Queen, as a new generation ascends to the throne in a tale of power, political divides, family, love, and betrayal. This is a gripping historical drama uniquely told from the perspective of the women waging the ongoing battle for the English throne: Lizzie (Jodie Comer), Lady Margaret Beaufort (Michelle Fairley), and Dowager Queen Elizabeth Woodville (Essie Davis). The story begins as one of England’s most politically turbulent times — The War of the Roses — is coming to an end. An uneasy peace is achieved when former King Richard III is defeated at the Battle of Bosworth, and the victor, Henry Tudor, soon-to-be King Henry VII (Jacob Collins-Levy), is married to Lizzie — a princess from a rival house and Richard III’s former lover.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Guerrilla on Showtime at 9/8c. The show tells the story of a couple whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Their ultimate target becomes the Black Power Desk, a true-life, secretive counter-intelligence unit within the Special Branch dedicated to crushing all forms of black activism. While the series is set against a background of social and political activism, at its heart Guerrilla is about a relationship under pressure, and the reality that for any couple there comes a point when the choices they make have real and lasting consequences. The show stars Screen Actors Guild Award winner Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and Babou Ceesay (Getting On). Additional cast includes Laurence Olivier Award winner Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful), Nathaniel Martello-White (Deadmeat), Daniel Mays (Line of Duty), Denise Gough (People, Places & Things), Brandon Scott (Grey’s Anatomy), Zawe Ashton (Fresh Meat), and Nicholas Pinnock (Fortitude), along with Golden Globe winner Idris Elba (Luther, Beasts of No Nation), who also serves as an executive producer through his Green Door Pictures.

Tonight is the series premiere of Iron Chef Gauntlet on Food Network at 9/8c, with a 1-hour “The Legend of Iron Chef” special beforehand at 8/7c. The greatest title in the world of food is back! Seven of the hottest rising chefs from across America will face the most feared ingredients from around the globe, all while battling each other with every ounce of skill, strategy, and stamina they possess. Each week, one will rise and one will fall until a single chef is left standing. This culinary gladiator will summon the courage to face the ultimate final battle: to beat three legendary Iron Chefs — Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto and Michael Symon — in rapid succession. In the end, they will either leave in utter defeat or make history, joining the coveted ranks of Iron Chefs.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Iron Chef Eats on Food Network at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Familiar faces from Iron Chef reveal their favorite food spots from around the country. Online, a digital companion series rolls out simultaneously with new episodes, offering fans culinary inspiration, along with tips and tricks that home cooks can use in their own kitchens.

Tonight is the series premiere of Famous in Love on Freeform at 9:02/8:02c. Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle published by Little, Brown and Company, the show follows ordinary college student Paige (Bella Thorne) as she gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster. She must now navigate her new star-studded life and the highs and lows that come with being the new It Girl in town as well as balancing her college workload. As her public profile continues to rise and the undeniable chemistry with her new co-star and Hollywood heartthrob Rainer Devon (Carter Jenkins) grows, the more her friendships are strained with her two best friends — particularly Jake (Charlie DePew), who may be more than just her friend. It also stars Georgie Flores, Keith Powers, Niki Koss, Pepi Sonuga, Perrey Reeves, & Tanjareen Thomas.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Cooper’s Treasure on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. In the 1960s, the “Original 7” astronauts were both rock stars and daredevils. With movie star looks and a penchant for sports cars, Gordon Cooper was the youngest and the flashiest of the bunch. As a space pioneer, he first took orbit in Mercury-Atlas 9, setting a record that still holds today for the longest solo space flight in US history. During one of his key missions, while Cooper claimed to be scouring the globe for nuclear sites, he actually discovered something else: shipwrecks. Working for decades in secret, using the information he collected while orbiting the Earth, Cooper created a document that he thought could lead to unimaginable wealth: a treasure map from space. Before passing away, Cooper shared his secret with long-time friend Darrell Miklos with the hope that his exploration would continue and the treasure would ultimately be found. Miklos is now setting out on a personal quest to fulfill the legacy of his lost mentor, once and for all realizing Cooper’s long-held dream and proving to the world that the mysterious documents hold the key for a new generation of explorers.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Problematic with Moshe Kasher on Comedy Central at 10/9c. No one talks anymore. Dinner table discussions have been replaced by angry memes on Facebook walls. Civil discourse has been supplanted by Twitter rants. This new weekly topical series promises to pull the country out of digital echo chambers and information bubbles and into an actual discussion. From the mind of comedian Moshe Kasher, this is a hyper-modern take on the casual daytime talk format of the 1980s, reimagined into a joke-fueled show for the digital generation. It’s a talk show that actually talks. Each episode will delve into a single topic of online outrage — such as impeachment, the dark web, cultural appropriation, ideological changes of heart, the liberal case for guns, and more — and examine how it shapes our culture. With the help of experts, comedians, and questions from both the in-studio and online audience, Kasher will solve every problem that has ever existed by the end of the episode, bringing peace and harmony to the internet once and for all while paving the way for a Oprah/Schwarzenegger co-presidency in 2020.

Tonight is the series premiere of Farmers’ Market Flip on Cooking Channel at 10/9c. This is a deliciously action-packed half-hour cooking competition that puts two teams of chefs’ culinary skills to the ultimate test, as they face off to see who can produce the most crowd-pleasing dishes over one lightning-fast day! First, it’s the Flavor of the Market challenge: the teams must create a dish that highlights a vendor’s star ingredient. Then, the teams get only 20 minutes to race through the farmers’ market to buy ultra-fresh ingredients. They’ll set-up shop in the Farmers’ Market Flip pop-up kitchen, where they’ll have one hour to prepare gourmet delights that will be sampled and judged by hungry customers at the market. When time’s up, the team that wins over the most palates will take the prize — and even some serious culinary cred!

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Bill Nye Saves the World on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims. In Bill’s unfiltered style, he will bring in special guests, conduct experiments and demonstrations, and ultimately let the facts lead the argument.

Tonight is also the complete first season permiere of Girlboss on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. It stars Britt Robertson (Sophia), Ellie Reed (Annie), Alphonso McAuley (Dax), Johnny Simmons (Shane), and Dean Norris (Jay).

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Bot Girls Wanted: Turned On on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Produced by Rashida Jones, Jill Bauer, and Ronna Gradus, this is a six-part anthology series, based off their acclaimed feature documentary, Hot Girls Wanted. This unflinchingly honest series tells personal stories about people whose lives are affected by the explosion of the Internet where social media, pornography and virtual relationships are all just a click away. Each episode explores the intersection of sex and technology telling stories of intimacy, connection, disconnection, self-promotion, race and gender politics.
