There are so many things on tonight that I want to recommend that I had trouble even narrowing it down to two… So I picked the two that I’m most excited about or knew I’d enjoy the most. First up is the double episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This show always, ALWAYS makes me laugh. Last week, we first got to see the Nine-Nine go to Cop-Con, which was pretty much what it sounded like: Comic-Con for cops, with presentations, gadgets, etc, all geared toward law enforcement. The group has always used the time to party and let off some steam, but this year, Captain Holt asked them to be on their best behavior since he was trying for a position on some board of law enforcement officers. So the team decided they’d still party (even opting to host it themselves when the group who usually threw the big party was arrested! LOL), but they’d do it on the down-low. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as planned. Holt’s laptop was stolen by his biggest rival and his presentation messed with – surprise, surprise!
Then on the second episode, Amy was studying for the Sergeant’s exam, but as always, she was obsessing and freaking out…so much so that she was ready to quit. I loved how Jake tracked her down by getting into her shoes, prompted by Rosa. When he finally cornered her on the rooftop from “The Bet,†she admitted that she was worried because their relationship might change. Jake was very sweet and said even if it did, they’d get through it. And there was also some great stuff with Capt. Holt and Terry, basically competing to see who could build the “best†model train set – best being the operative word. Capt. Holt thought the best one was accurate down to the most minute detail, while Terry let his imagination fly. It was pretty funny to see the little boy come in and scoff at both, asking where the video games were. As the mother of a young man who was a little boy not so long ago, I can totally relate!
I’ve seen tonight’s double episode, and I have to say they’re some of my favorites in a while. For one, we meet Capt. Holt’s mother. Yes, you read that right: WE MEET HIS MOTHER, who is basically a slightly older, slightly more feminine version of Capt. Holt himself. LMAO And second, we get more Jake/Rosa stuff, which is always fun. Finally, we see something we’ve never seen before when Scully and Hitchcock are not only at odds but almost knock-down-drag-out fighting. Fun!
On tonight’s double episode, “Your Honor/The Slaughterhouse,†Captain Holt’s mom (guest star L. Scott Caldwell) seeks support from the precinct after her house is robbed. Meanwhile, Terry, Rosa and Boyle remodel the breakroom and Amy teaches Gina how to change her own car tire. Then, Jake and Rosa try to earn the respect of their idol, Lieutenant Melanie Hawkins (guest star Gina Gershon), while Charles, Terry and Gina test different parenting methods to resolve a conflict between Scully and Hitchcock.
Meet Mrs. Holt tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

On last week’s episode of iZombie, Peyton confronted Blaine about his memory loss, and he admitted that it had only lasted for two days and that he had been faking it ever since. Meanwhile, Major had made a trip back home to see his moms before he completely lost his memory (or so he thought). Peyton told the others the good news about the cure – that the memory-loss side effect was just temporary, and Liv was excited that she was going to finally be able to be human again (though Clive seemed a bit upset that he would be losing his useful partner). However, when Ravi went to retrieve the cure, he discovered that someone had stolen all the doses. Fortunately, a while back he had given Major a dose that he never used, but he revealed that he had already given the dose away to someone else.
Who stole the needles, and what do they plan to do with the dosages? Will Liv ever get the cure? (I don’t see this happening anytime soon, with the show picked up for a fourth season!) And what was Blaine mixing up in his lab?
On tonight’s episode, “Dirt Nap Time,” Liv and Clive try to solve the murder of a very charming but womanizing preschool teacher and bring his jealous girlfriend Piper in for questioning. Meanwhile, Peyton is assigned a very interesting case; and Blaine finds himself in a bad situation.
See if Liv and Clive can solve the murder tonight on The CW at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, Imaginary Mary, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Great News, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Prison Break, The Flash, and The Americans.

My second pick tonight should come as no surprise, especially after last week’s literally explosive episode. NCIS: New Orleans nearly blew up Pride – and did completely destroy his bar! – but thank goodness he escaped in time. Of course, he’s had enough of the mayor now. After Pride tailed Hamilton’s man, the guy opened fire on the streets of New Orleans, purposely killing one man in order to escape. Hamilton used that in addition to everything else he’s pinning on the team to get them suspended. Now Pride is in the wind, and only Loretta and the team know he’s not dead, since Pride left his badge and stuff with the body at the time of the explosion. Something tells me he’s done being Mr. Nice Guy and Mayor Hamilton better watch out! I doubt Pride will do something so bad he can’t come back from it – after all, the show wouldn’t be the same without him – but…I don’t know. It’ll be interesting to see if he stops himself from crossing that line or if the team gets to him first and does it. Of course, Hamilton has completely crossed that line more than once himself – even going so far as to poison the woman voting against his plans for Clearwater – so I want him to go DOWN for that and for messing with the team. I’m also hoping to see some movement on the Lasalle/Percy front, now that she’s out of prison and back with the team!
On tonight’s finale, “Poetic Justice,†unable to trust anyone in New Orleans, the NCIS team calls in FBI Assistant Director Isler to help expose and stop the sinister scheme Mayor Hamilton has planned for the residents of Clearwater.
To see if the NCIS team can take down Hamilton and save Pride’s job, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, NCIS, American Housewife, Great News, Prison Break, Chicago Fire, & Chopped.
