Tonight is the series premiere of The Platinum Life on E! at 10/9c. In the eight, hour-long episodes, viewers follow Asiah Collins, Alycia Bella, La’Myia Good, Shantel Jackson, Nazanin Mandi, Lola Monroe and Crystal Smith as they indulge in the VIP life with their significant others who happen to be some of the biggest names in the music industry including Nelly, Eric Bellinger and more. While juggling their own careers and making a name for themselves, these women are headstrong and won’t let anything stand in the way from achieving success. However, living in the spotlight comes with rules that all ladies have to follow. Will they fall in line or march to the beat of their own drum?

Tonight is also the series premiere of White Famous on Showtime at 10/9c. Jay Pharoah plays talented young comedian Floyd Mooney, whose star is rising, forcing him to navigate the treacherous waters of maintaining his credibility as he begins to cross over into the world of becoming “white famous.” This is a collaboration between writer and showrunner Tom Kapinos (Californication), who will executive produce, and Jamie Foxx, who will executive produce and guest star in a recurring role. Tim Story, the prolific director who helmed the movie franchises Barbershop, Ride Along, and Think Like A Man, will executive produce and direct the pilot. Utkarsh Ambudkar (The Mindy Project) plays Malcolm, Floyd’s frustrated agent who wants his client to do whatever it takes to make it big. Cleopatra Coleman (The Last Man on Earth) plays Floyd’s ex-girlfriend Sadie, the love of his life and the mother of his son, played by Lonnie Chavis (This is Us). Jacob Ming-Trent (Feed the Beast) stars as Ron Balls, Floyd’s roommate — in the middle of the chaos, he remains the voice of reason. Stephen Tobolowsky (The Goldbergs) guest stars in the series’ pilot. Additional guest stars this season will include Meagan Good, Jack Davenport, Michael Rapaport, Kendrick Sampson, Lyndon Smith, and Natalie Zea.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Eleven on A&E at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. This new nonfiction, six-part limited series follows investigators as they reexamine the murders of eleven teenage girls after discovering a confession letter from current inmate and convicted murderer Edward Harold Bell. Through their research and a series of exclusive videotaped interviews with Bell, investigators have pushed police to reopen the case of two of the victims. Throughout the 1970s, the cities in and around Galveston County, Texas were haunted by the brutal murders of eleven teenage girls. Journalist Lise Olsen and retired police detective Fred Paige are revisiting these cases after discovering a confession letter from inmate Edward Harold Bell, who is currently serving a 70-year sentence for an unrelated murder. In his chilling confession, Bell describes some of the girls’ deaths in gruesome detail and refers to many of the victims by name. Yet in the investigators’ exclusive face-to-face interviews with Bell, he denies the written confession, proving that linking him to the 45-year-old murders will be a formidable challenge. With a parole hearing for Bell looming this fall, Olsen and Paige must try to piece together evidence that demonstrates a definitive link between the convicted killer and girls he calls ‘the eleven who went to heaven’ before he has the possibility to walk free. In each one-hour episode, the show will explore the girls’ stories in depth in an attempt to discover a link to Bell. Through cinematic dramatizations as well as unprecedented access to interviews with friends, family, and witnesses, the limited series will attempt to solve the mystery behind ‘the eleven’ in order to try to find justice for the young women and closure for their families.
