Tonight is the series premiere of Buried in the Backyard on Oxygen at 7/6c. The show examines true-crime stories of victims found buried in the most unsuspecting of places. While most people enjoy their backyard as a safe haven, others are not so lucky when they discover the horrors lurking beneath well-trimmed hedges and manicured fences. Uncovering the remains is only the beginning, however, as each hour-long episode follows a unique police investigation to identify the body, determine a cause of death and find the person responsible. Captivating recreations, along with first-hand accounts from those closest to the victims and law enforcement agents involved in the case, bring each shocking tale to life. As investigators dig into the “how” and “why” surrounding each crime, viewers are taken on an unpredictable journey and reminded that this could happen to anyone – in any home, in any neighborhood.

Tonight is also the series premiere of A Wedding and a Murder on Oxygen at 8/7c. This show examines the true stories of engagements, weddings, and picture-perfect honeymoons that went from joyous celebration to untimely death. Each hour-long episode will expose a grisly homicide set against the backdrop of what appears to be wedded bliss. The series will chronicle many cases including the well-known disappearance of Annie Le, a young beautiful Yale student who vanished before her wedding as well as Gail and Rick Brink, happy newlyweds whose marriage ended in a tragedy and remained unsolved for decades until an unexpected witness revealed a disturbing family secret. From the bride and groom, to a family member, or even a jealous wedding guest – anyone could be the victim or suspect when marriage serves as the powerful catalyst for murder.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Pose on FX at 9/8c. Set in the 1980s, Pose explores the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene. Evan Peters and Kate Mara play New Jersey couple “Stan” and “Patty,” who get sucked into the glamour and intrigue of New York City in the 1980s. James Van Der Beek plays Peters’ financial kingpin boss “Matt.” The show also stars Angelica Ross, Billy Porter, Charlayne Woodard, Dominique Jackson, Dyllon Burnside, Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, MJ Rodriguez, & Ryan Jamaal Swain. The show was co-created by Ryan Murphy (9-1-1, Glee, American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Nip/Tuck), Brad Falchuk (9-1-1, Glee, American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Scream Queens), and Steven Canals.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Wrong Man on Starz at 9/8c. This groundbreaking six-episode documentary series examines three different cases of inmates who have been incarcerated for decades and claim they are innocent. The series will uncover new theories, offer alternate suspects and reveal startling new evidence that could prove these inmates are not guilty. Berlinger’s cameras follow a team of esteemed legal, investigative and forensic experts including renowned civil rights attorney Ronald Kuby, former prosecutor Sue-Ann Robinson, retired NCIS investigator Joe Kennedy, and Ira Todd, a member of Detroit’s elite Homicide Task Force, as they re-investigate the cases of three inmates who have been locked up for decades and claim they are innocent.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Succession on HBO at 10/9c. This drama series follows the Roy family — Logan Roy and his four adult children — who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world. The show tracks the lives of the key members as they grapple with what the future will hold for them as their aging father begins to step back from the company. The ten-episode season stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Hiam Abbass, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Natalie Gold, Peter Friedman and Rob Yang.

Today is the series premiere (a total of 3 new episodes) of Five Points on Facebook Watch at 12PM/11AMc. The ten-episode series follows five students at a South Side Chicago high school who each experience a life-changing event from a different point of view. It stars popstar and actress Hayley Kiyoko (CSI: CyberThe Game Plan, The Fosters), Spence Moore II (A.P Bio), Ray Cham Jr. (Disney XD’s MECH-X4), and Nathaniel Potvin (Disney XD’s MECH-X4).

Tonight is also the 2-hour series premiere of Dietland on AMC at 9/8c. The extraordinarily timed series unveils one woman’s journey to self-awakening while exploring a multitude of issues faced by women today — including patriarchy, misogyny, rape culture and unrealistic beauty standards. Based on Sarai Walker’s 2015 best-selling, critically acclaimed novel of the same name, Dietland stars Joy Nash (The Mindy Project, Twin Peaks) as lead Plum Kettle, and Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife, ER) as Kitty Montgomery. Filmed on location in New York City, the 10-episode series follows Plum Kettle, ghost-writer for the editor of one of New York’s hottest fashion magazines, as she struggles with self-image and sets out on a wildly complicated road to self-acceptance. At the same time, everyone is buzzing over news reports about men, accused of sexual abuse and assault, who are disappearing and meeting untimely, violent deaths.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Unapologetic with Aisha Tyler on AMC at 11/10c. Unlike a conventional after show confined to the companion series itself, Unapologetic will feature actress Aisha Tyler leading a topical discussion around the broader, female-centric issues and themes that Dietland explores. Tyler will be talking with celebrity fans, series actors and producers, as well as relevant journalists, writers, comedians and other tastemakers.

Tonight is the series premiere of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger on Freeform at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:03/8:03c. This is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph), two teenagers from very different backgrounds who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers, and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging. The show also stars Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos, and J.D. Evermore.

Tonight is also the series premiere of American Woman on Paramount at 10/9c. Inspired by the real-life upbringing of Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), American Woman follows Bonnie (Alicia Silverstone), an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in 1970s Los Angeles. Bonnie also comes to rely on the help of her two best friends, Kathleen (Mena Suvari) and Diana (Jennifer Bartels), as they each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it. The show also stars Cheyenne Jackson, Diandra Lyle, Sam Morgan, Lia Ryan McHugh, & Makenna James.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Swamp Mysteries with Troy Landry on History Channel at 10/9c. Alligator season may be over in Louisiana but King of the Swamp, Troy Landry, is still on the hunt. Fielding distress calls from family, friends and neighbors across the South, Landry teams with local experts in a wild chase to help save America from hostile, menacing and often mysterious creatures. It’s a battle of wills between a legendary man and beasts. Landry’s travels lead him to confront “El Diablo,” a behemoth gator on the attack in Mississippi; “Garzilla,” a man-sized garfish with a taste for flesh in Louisiana; feral hogs in Texas; bull sharks in Louisiana; and pythons fighting gators in Florida — just a few of the many animals and locations investigated in each new episode. Using years of alligator hunting experience, Landry aids in tackling the threat posed by these intimidating animals as he discovers who they are and the myths behind them, and witnesses first-hand the havoc they can wreak on the environment, property and even residents.

In addition to his efforts to adapt, he has committed himself to booking a U.S. gig — the 6,000-seat Greek Theater — with only three months to sell it out. Saturday

Saturday is series premiere of I Want That Wedding on TLC at 10/9c. Although finding a dream dress can be stressful, it is only one of many things on a bride’s to-do list. When it comes to wedding planning, deciding on a budget is nerve-racking, and engaged couples don’t always see eye to eye when it comes to how much – or how little – to spend on their nuptials. Every couple goes through it and now there is a perfect way to hash out an ideal budget for the big day. In this new show, experienced wedding planners take their newly engaged clients to three different weddings: one that is equivalent to what the bride wants to spend, one at the groom’s price point, and one in-between. The twist, however, is that the couple won’t know the cost of these weddings until the end of the experiment – and viewers will play along at home as they try to guess what things cost and which wedding most inspired each couple. When it’s all said and done, the couples will agree on a budget and finally be able to declare I WANT THAT WEDDING!
