Tonight is the series premiere of America to Me on Starz at 10/9c. The show follows students, teachers and administrators in suburban Chicago’s Oak Park and River Forest High School, one of the country’s highest performing and diverse public schools, over the course of a year, as they grapple with decades-long racial and educational inequities — in addition to the challenges that today’s teenagers face. Digging deep into the experiences of a racially diverse student population, America to Me sparks candid conversations about what has succeeded and what has failed in the quest to achieve racial equity and overcome obstacles in our education system. In this part observational character story and part high-school confessional, filmmaker Steve James captures critical moments within this vibrant high-school ecosystem.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Shop on HBO at 11/10c. The groundbreaking series features a powerhouse lineup starring four-time NBA MVP LeBron James and Maverick Carter. Headliners on the first show shot in Los Angeles are rap icon Snoop Dogg, New York Giants’ superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Golden State Warriors’ star and three-time NBA champion Draymond Green, Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler with the Seattle Seahawks now Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive end Michael Bennett, rapper Vince Staples, Los Angeles Sparks’ star and two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker, stand-up comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and Peabody and Emmy(R) winning broadcaster Jon Stewart. The show gives viewers an unprecedented barbershop experience, which for many provides a sanctuary for spirited, free-flowing discussions. Tonight is the series premiere of One Dollar on CBSAA at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. This is a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town’s secrets get revealed. Tonight is the complete first season premiere of Paradise PD on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. They’re bad cops. Not bad like no nonsense. Not bad like cool. Bad like shitty. Paradise PD: They’re the worst responders. From the creators of Brickleberry comes this take on a small-town police department. Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. This is a reinvention with a modern sensibility of the famed and lauded Tom Clancy hero played by John Krasinski (The Office). When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transwers, his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.
