Tonight is the series premiere of Legends of the Deep on Science Channel at 9/8c. The mysteries that lurk beneath the surface of our planet’s vast bodies of water rival those that are in outer space. Now in a new four-part Science Channel series, the sister and brother team of Céline and Fabien Cousteau carry on their family legacy as they set out to uncover tales from the sea that remain shrouded in mystery and secrecy.

Tonight is the series premiere of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! on Travel Channel at 9/8c. Hosted and executive produced by actor Bruce Campbell, the 10-episode, hour-long series is inspired by Robert Ripley’s obsession with the awesome and his keen eye for what keeps viewers mesmerized. Seventy years after Ripley hosted the first eponymous series, we still can’t resist his challenge to, “Believe it, or not!” One hundred years ago, Ripley went on a quest to the farthest reaches of the globe in search of the extraordinary and unusual. Now, hosted from the famed Ripley’s Warehouse in Orlando, Florida, Campbell introduces the next generation to astonishing and one-of-a-kind stories.

Tonight is the series premiere of sMothered on TLC at 10/9c. If you thought you knew what the phrase “Like Mother, Like Daughter” meant, just wait. The show follows four outrageous, mother/daughter duos who take their bonds to the extreme! These women are a constant presence in each other’s lives, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They do everything together — from dressing in matching outfits, to getting plastic surgery and injections, to sharing the same bath water and even sleeping in the same bed! Every mother/daughter pair prioritizes their unique relationship above all else, often causing rifts between their siblings and significant others. But, the ladies’ lives begin to change as they experience various life events, like boyfriends, pregnancy and moving out on their own, and maintaining the same level of closeness may prove impossible. Faced with the reality that their tighter-than-tight relationships could be pulled apart at the seams, these women are determined to find a way to remain attached at the hip. The show offers viewers a chance to relish in third-wheel envy as they get to know, and grow to love, these vivacious twosomes, and explore their uncanny, but undeniable, bonds.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Sugar and Toys on Fuse at 11/10c. Adult animated series which sends up toy commercials and PSAs, tackling a range of social issues and featuring bookended host segments with rapper and actor Kyle Harvey.

Tonight is the series premiere of Kate Plus Date on TLC at 10/9c. Kate Gosselin has been single for almost a decade, and she’s finally ready to give love a chance. Raising eight children hasn’t granted Kate much time for romance, but with her sextuplets grown and her oldest twins off to college in the fall, the time is right for the well-known mother of multiples to find that special someone. Over the years on TLC, viewers have seen Kate as a mom of eight. Whether wading neck-deep in diapers and sippy cups, scrambling to get the kids off to school or stressing over every last detail of birthday parties, her world has always revolved around being a mom — but moms deserve the chance to find love too! Devoting herself full-time to her eight children has left Kate’s dating skills a bit rusty, so she enlists the help of expert matchmakers Rachel DeAlto and Adam LoDolce to guide her through this very new — and often awkward — process. They’ll help Kate find her perfect match, setting her up on dates with 10 bachelors over the course of the series. The dates are composed of two activities: one that’s fun and interactive, and another that’s more intimate where the pair can really see if there’s a spark. Kate’s college-bound twins Mady and Cara are equally invested in finding their mom a partner, providing encouragement and colorful commentary along the way. Throughout the six-part series, viewers will follow Kate’s journey as she evolves from reserved and cautious to open and invested. While the first few dates are awkward, even “painful” in Kate’s words, she eventually learns to trust the process with the support of her matchmakers and daughters. Mady and Cara don’t hold anything back when it comes to advising their mom, but ultimately, Kate has the final say. After being wooed by all ten mystery men, she is faced with the difficult decision of choosing just two guys to take on a second date. The pressure is on. From adventurous and challenging encounters to fun and surprising moments, Kate puts it all out there on display: the good, the bad and the awkward! Throughout the process, she lets her guard down and learns a lot about herself and exactly what it’s going to take to find everlasting love.

Tonight is the series premiere of Cheerleader Generation on Lifetime at 10/9c. Set in the exciting world of competitive cheerleading, Cheerleader Generation follows the lives of two squads and their fierce, hardworking coaches, Lexington Kentucky’s Dunbar High School coach Donna Martin and her daughter, Ole’ Miss head coach, Ryan O’Connor. While veteran coach Donna pushes her team to new heights to return Dunbar to its former glory of reigning champs, Ryan is fighting to earn the respect of her peers, her collegiate team, and her mother. The stakes are high as Donna and Ryan also compete to be the first ever mother-daughter coaches going after national championship titles in the same year while deadling with the real-life drama of college students trying to find their independence, high-school students trying to survive adolescence and their mothers who are trying to keep it all together too.

During each game, three contestants compete against each other answering questions to earn spins on the Big Board. Contestants then use their spins to win cash and prizes while trying to avoid the WHAMMY, who could take all of their winnings and leave them with nothing. The winning contestant moves on to the All-New Bonus Round to face the WHAMMY in a final battle for the chance to win a fortune.

Tonight is the series premiere of Life After Lockup on WE at 9/8c. During the explosive second season fans wildly tweeted at each Love After Lockup misstep: did our cast heed the advice to run from their shaky relationships, or do they remain blissfully in love? WE tv heard the fans and delivered the spin-off, Life After Lockup. The new series follows five returning couples who fans have grown to know and love — or love to hate — as they face parole restrictions, temptation, and turbulence in their lives outside of prison walls. Will these troubled lovebirds break old habits with the support of their loved ones? Or will they break the rules and land back in the clink? Throughout the eight episodes, fan-favorites Clint and Tracie; Marcelino and Brittany; Megan, Michael, and Sarah; Scott and Lizzie; and Andrea and Lamar will face new challenges and tackle many firsts in their new lives, from raising children to buying first homes to finding work and staying sober. These committed couples are doing it all while living under the restrictions of parole and dealing with the stresses and occasional turmoil of a new relationship. Now that these former inmates have left prison, will they be able to survive the real world and stay out of prison for good?

Tonight is also the series premiere of Jett on Cinemax at 10/9c. Fresh out of prison, retired professional thief Daisy (aka “Jett”) Kowalski is reluctantly drawn back into doing what she does best after being forced to quit following the birth of her child. Narrowly completing a dangerous “final” job, she finds herself pulled back into a series of assignments masterminded by ruthless criminals, who are determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Carla Gugino (San Andreas, Sin City) executive produces and stars in the title role. The series also stars Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad) as powerful crime lord Charlie Baudelaire, who offers Jett one last task in Cuba, reuniting her with a former flame, but setting off a chain of unexpected events that endangers everyone she cares for, as well as Elena Anaya, Gaite Jansen, Chris Backus, Gentry White, Gil Bellows, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lucy Walters, Michael Aronov, Mustafa Shakir, & Violet McGraw.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Savage Builds on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Putting his unending curiosity and nearly unparalleled inventiveness to the test, Adam Savage is taking on bigger and badder builds. From a 3-D printed titanium suit of armor inspired by Marvel Studios’ Iron Man films that actually flies to experimenting with the highly volatile liquid nitroglycerin, Savage Builds will propel Adam into explosive and unpredictable worlds with high stakes payoffs. Each episode will focus on one project as Adam collaborates with notable experts in their fields, friends, colleagues, and some of his favorite people on the planet. Among those Adam enlists to help sow controlled mayhem are Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, longtime MythBusters collaborator Tory Belleci, and Academy Award-winning actor Gary Oldman. Nothing is guaranteed of course when venturing into the unknown, but whether a build is a success or failure, the results are sure to thrill.

Through new and exclusive interviews with those connected to the case, including former LAPD Homicide Detective Mark Fuhrman, trial defense attorney Mickey Sherman and Robert F. I think you might be thinking of something else… The CW’s Burden of Truth ended season one in early October 2018. Season two just started last week. 🙂
