Tonight is the series premiere of Watchmen on HBO at 9/8c. Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen, from executive producer Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers), embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own. The show stars Regina King (Southland, 24, American Crime, The Leftovers, The Strain), Don Johnson (Nash Bridges, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, From Dusk Till Dawn, Just Legal, Blood & Oil), Frances Fisher (Partners, Resurrection, Glory Days, The Makeover), Jean Smart (24, Dirty John, Legion, When Calls the Heart), Jeremy Irons (The Borgias), Louis Gossett Jr (Hap and Leonard, Extant), Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow, Four Weddings and a Funeral), James Wolk (Zoo, Tell Me a Story), Tim Blake Nelson (Chaos, For Justice, Klondike), Hong Chau (Homecoming), Andrew Howard (The After, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down), Jacob Ming-Trent (White Famous), Sara Vickers, & Dylan Schombing.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Leavenworth on Starz at 9:30/8:30c. The show centers on a controversial true-crime story playing out in the military justice system. Clint Lorance is serving a 19-year sentence for murder at The United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth. While deployed in Afghanistan in July 2012, the former lieutenant ordered fire on three local men riding a motorcycle, killing two of them and outraging his platoon. In a first-hand account of a soldier navigating the US Army’s legal system, Lorance seeks to overturn his conviction, provoking emotional debate between supporters and detractors that rises to the national stage. As determinations on Lorance’s fate unfold, questions probe not only the merits of his conviction, but analyze the system at large and ultimately test the balance of guilt and innocence in the inscrutable circumstances of today’s wars.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Lost Cities with Albert Lin on NGC at 10/9c. For over 131 years, National Geographic has chased big questions, challenged accepted beliefs and pushed the boundaries of what we know – or think we know – about our world. Now, National Geographic is on a mission to unearth the secrets of some of the world’s most legendary and mysterious civilizations in its new global series Lost Cities With Albert Lin. Follow host and National Geographic Explorer Albert Lin on a high-tech adventure that will revolutionize archaeology across the globe. Utilizing ground-penetrating radar, LiDar and 3D scanning, Lin joins boots-on-the-ground archaeologists to discover and re-create unexcavated worlds still hidden beneath the earth. His mission is to uncover and resolve mysteries of the past in the most extraordinary sites of antiquity, including the Knights Templar in Israel, the Lost Kingdom of the Pacific in Micronesia and the city behind the legend of El Dorado: City of Gold in Colombia.

Tonight is the series premiere of Rock the Block on HGTV at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. Prepare for the ultimate showdown between the fiercest women in the home renovation and design business. With only four weeks and $175,000 each, HGTV stars Leanne Ford (Restored by the Fords), Mina Starsiak Hawk (Good Bones), Jasmine Roth (Hidden Potential), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) will face-off to max-out identical properties in the Los Angeles area — with the goal to add the most property value to each home. Hosted by Property Brothers: Forever Home star and real estate expert Drew Scott, the series will boast bold build and design challenges; in-show surprises; and special guest judges. The winner will walk away with the ultimate reward — bragging rights and a street named after her on the most rocking block in the country.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Catherine the Great on HBO at 10/9c. Starring Academy-award winner Helen Mirren (The Queen, Gosford Park, The Last Station) and Jason Clarke (First Man, Zero Dark Thirty, Mudbound) this four-part drama is set against the politically tumultuous and sexually charged court of Russian empress Catherine the Great (Mirren) who wielded supreme power throughout Russia for nearly half of the 18th century. The show follows Catherine towards the end of her reign during her passionate affair with Grigory Potemkin (Clarke). Amid scandal, intrigue and immense conflict, they develop a unique and devoted relationship, overcoming their adversaries and together serving as the architects of modern-day Russia through a series of liberalizing reforms. It also stars Andrew Rothney, Antonia Clarke, Clive Russell, Gina McKee, James Northcoate, Joseph Quinn, Kevin R. McNally, Lucas Englander, Paul Kaye, Paul Ritter, Raphael Acloque, Richard Roxburgh, Rory Kinnear, Sam Palladio, & Thomas Doherty.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Misery Index on TBS at 10/9c. Inspired by the card game Sh*t Happens, The Misery Index is the only game show where contestants can make a fortune out of other people’s misfortune. Jameela Jamil stars as the show’s host with The Tenderloins comedy troupe and stars of truTV’s Impractical Jokers (Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano) starring as recurring panelists. The game will feature two teams, each consisting of one contestant and two Tenderloins. Teams will compete in a game of stakes ranking hysterically miserable real-life experiences — from getting stuck overnight in an elevator to walking in on your grandparents having sex — on a scale of 1-100 based on our Misery Index, a ranking system created by a team of therapists.

Overnight last night was the complete first season premiere of Prank Encounters on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Hosted by Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), monstrous frights meet hilarious reveals on this hidden-camera prank show as real people become the stars of their own full-blown horror movie.

Overnight last night was also the complete first season premiere of Zomboat! on Hulu at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. When the zombie apocalypse is unleashed in Birmingham, sisters Kat and Jo, together with unlikely travel companions Sunny and Amar, must flee for their lives…by canal boat. Jo has just returned from a season as a club rep and has decided to move back in with younger sister Kat, a computer game addict who buys into every conspiracy theory around. Jo struggles to take her sister seriously when Kat claims the zombie apocalypse is real and happening, right now…in Birmingham. Alongside gym bunny Amar, the upbeat and ready to face things head on character and his oldest friend Sunny, a wannabe misanthrope who’d rather sit out the apocalypse from the comfort of his sofa, Kat, Jo, Sunny and Amar find themselves trapped together on board Dorothy, a narrow boat on the Grand Union canal. As they journey along the canal in their tightly packed living quarters, friendships develop, alliances form, arguments occur and romance blossoms. Along the way, they realise there is no escaping the problems of everyday life, even in a zombie apocalypse. Out-running the zombie horde are Leah Brotherhead (White Gold, Boy Meets Girl) who plays Kat, Hamza Jeetooa (Doctor Who, Our Girl) who plays Sunny, Ryan McKen (White Dragon, Save Me, The State) who plays Amar, and Cara Theobold (Kiri, Crazyhead, Downton Abbey) who plays Jo. Rochenda Sandall (Line of Duty, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) guest stars.

  1. Doug says:

So many shows skipped a week☹️ uggh…thank you for all you do!!🍻

    • Jenny says:

Yeah, they did. 🙁 And thank you! 🙂

      • John says:

I think some are listed wrong. Seal Team is only episode 4. Not sure about any others. I rely on your site to make sure I don’t miss any shows I like. Thanks.

        • Jenny says:

The episode numbers can be confusing. Sometimes, it’s the number of the order they shot them in. Sometimes it changes. And sometimes my source uses what comes from the studios, which because of some behind the scenes stuff, meant this was labeled 305 but in reality it’s the 4th episode, not the 5th. 🙂

I actually hate listing the episode numbers because of that fact. But I got several requests that I add them years ago that I did and have kept them.

          • John Porter says:

Yes, please keep posting episode numbers. Most of the time it helps me out. Thank you, and please dont dont stop.
