Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!
My pick tonight is the premiere of The Misery Index on TBS. Inspired by the card game Shit Happens, this is the only game show where contestants can make a fortune out of other people’s misfortune. Jameela Jamil (Tahini on NBC’s The Good Place) stars as the show’s host, with stars of truTV’s Impractical Jokers (Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano) starring as recurring panelists. The game will feature two teams, each consisting of one contestant and two Jokers. Teams will compete in a game of stakes ranking hysterically miserable real-life experiences – from getting stuck overnight in an elevator to walking in on your grandparents having sex – on a scale of 1-100 based on the Misery Index, a ranking system created by a team of therapists. Winners get a chance at $30,000.
The Jokers are hysterical, so I have no doubt that they’re going to add a lot of fun to what already sounds like it’ll be a fun game show. I can’t wait to play along with the contestants and my family, giving our own rankings and seeing how they compare.
Check out the fun tonight on TBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching NCIS, Chopped, FBI, The Purge, NCIS: New Orleans, & Treadstone.
