Tonight is the premiere of The Last Dance on ESPN at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. The series chronicles one of the greatest icons and most successful teams in sports history, Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls, and features never-before-seen footage from the 1997-98 season as the team pursued its sixth NBA championship in eight years. ESPN statement: “As society navigates this time without live sports, viewers are still looking to the sports world to escape and enjoy a collective experience. We’ve heard the calls from fans asking us to move up the release date for this series, and we’re happy to announce that we’ve been able to accelerate the production schedule to do just that. This project celebrates one of the greatest players and dynasties ever, and we hope it can serve as a unifying entertainment experience to fill the role that sports often play in our lives, telling a story that will captivate everyone, not just sports fans.” In the fall of 1997, Michael Jordan, Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf and head coach Phil Jackson agreed to let an NBA Entertainment film crew follow the team all season long. The result would be a remarkable portrait of an iconic player and a celebrated team — a portrait only now being revealed, more than two decades later. As the series weaves its way through the tumultuous 1997-98 season, viewers will be transported back to how it all began — from Jordan’s childhood roots, the Bulls’ dire circumstances before his arrival and how the team was built after drafting him in 1984, to the struggles that eventually led to the team’s first NBA championship. As the series takes the audience through the Bulls’ first five championships, viewers will experience the off-court challenges, struggles and triumphs that were a part of the culture-shifting phenomenon created by Jordan and the Bulls. It’s an unlikely scenario that serves as a fascinating backdrop for the inside tale of the 1998 championship run, with extensive profiles of Jordan’s key teammates including Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Steve Kerr, head coach Phil Jackson, and featuring dozens of current-day interviews with rivals and luminaries from basketball and beyond. All throughout, the tension and conflict that defined that final championship run are very much on display.

Tonight is the series premiere of Dragnificent! on TLC at 10:58/9:58c. The show features some of America’s most beloved drag queens as they flip the switch and sprinkle their glitz on people who desperately wish for a mega-makeover as part of an upcoming life milestone. The series will take viewers on a loud, outrageous, and heartwarming ride as the queens help each person reveal the best version of themselves — inside and out. At the heart of the show are makeovers that tug on the heartstrings, with a team of experts who tackle their challenges by drawing on their individual expertise and overall fabulousness: Alexis Michelle is a makeup artist, specializing in weddings and special events; BeBe is an experienced event planner who can transform any room into a fantasy space; Jujubee, a fashion expert known for her dynamic and iconic looks, draws on her deep knowledge in drag couture and women’s fashion; and Thorgy Thor is a classically trained musician who knows how to get the party started. In each episode, the cast will help someone reimagine their appearance for a special day and reveal themselves as they have only dreamed, while taking viewers on a touching journey of their life and struggles to this point. Whether it be a bride who wants to feel beautiful walking down the aisle, an alumna who wants to strut her stuff at an upcoming high school reunion, or a woman coming to terms with her new body after losing a massive amount of weight, there is nothing our queens can’t tackle. No matter how big the event or transformation, our fairy godmothers are just the team needed to give these people the confidence, courage and grace they need to be their best at the biggest moments of their lives.

Overnight last night was the series premiere of Sanctuary on Sundance Now. Estranged Swedish identical twins Siri and Helena (Josefin Asplund, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Vikings, in a dual role) have always had a complex relationship. When Helena receives an invitation to visit Siri at an exclusive residential sanatorium in the Alps, she is reluctant but figures it will be a nice vacation. Despite the peacefulness of the clinic, Helena refuses Siri’s plea for help in taking care of some business and to swap places for a few days but ends up waking up to find Siri gone. Soon she realizes that Siri isn’t coming back, and that the clinic is far from a place of recovery; it’s a facility for studying psychopaths. Helena is now trapped in a waking nightmare in which no one is who they seem to be, and everyone believes that she is Siri. Surrounded by the most predatory and manipulative people, including the director of the Sanctuary, Dr. Marvin Fisher (Matthew Modine, Stranger Things, Full Metal Jacket, The Dark Knight Rises), imaginable, escape is now only the second order of business: the first is simple survival. Also starring Will Mellor (No Offence, Broadchurch).

Tonight is also the series premiere of We’re Here on HBO at 9/8c. The six-part unscripted series follows small-town residents as they’re recruited and trained to participate in a one-night only drag performance. In each episode, former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara, and Shangela Laquifa Wadley will help prepare their “drag daughters” by teaching them how to step outside of their comfort zones.

Overnight last night was the series premiere of Defending Jacob on Apple TV+. This is a gripping, character-driven thriller based on the 2012 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by William Landay and stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, Cherry Jones, Pablo Schreiber, Betty Gabriel, and Sakina Jaffrey. The story unfolds around a shocking crime that rocks a small Massachusetts town and follows an assistant district attorney who finds himself torn between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Rupaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race on VH1 at 9:30/8:30c. During this four-part event series, the audience must tune-in to find out which film, music, television, and comedy stars will be featured in the competition. Each week, a trio of celebrities open up their heart and mind to the transformative power of drag, embracing the inner fierce queen inside of them. They all step onto the runway feeling beautiful, powerful, and inspired in their own way, realizing that drag doesn’t change who they are but reveals who they are. With the help of beloved “Queen Supremes” Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel, and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, the celebrities undergo a drag transformation and compete in fan-favorite challenges to win prize money for the charity of their choice. At the end of every episode, RuPaul will crown “America’s Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar.”

Hi, Thanks for the site. I keep seeing “The Profit” listed on Tuesday nights, but it hasn’t been new since February. I checked CNBC’s website and I don’t see anything about new episodes since then either.
