Tonight is the 68-minute series premiere of Lovecraft Country on HBO at 9/8c. Based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, the ten-episode series follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors, When We Rise) as he journeys with his childhood friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett, Underground) and his uncle George (Courtney B. Vance, American Crime Story, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Warriors, Flash Forward) on a road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father Montrose (Michael Kenneth Williams, Bessie, When We Rise). Their search-and-rescue turns into a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and monstrous creatures that could be ripped from an H.P. Lovecraft paperback. It also stars Abbey Lee, Aunjanue Ellis (The Book of Negroes, The DA, Justice, Quantico), Erica Tazel (The Good Fight, Justified, Roots), Jamie Chung (The Asset, Believe, The Gifted), Jamie Neumann, Jordan Patrick Smith, Mac Brandt, Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), & Wunmi Mosaku (Mission Control, Fearless).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Darcey & Stacey on TLC at 10/9c. Twins Darcey & Stacey have always done everything together: They got married at the same age, divorced on the same day, raised their families in the same home and have always shared a mutual love for dating men overseas, but this could be about to change. As Darcey struggles to put her toxic relationships behind her, Stacey’s Albanian fiancé is on his way to America and they have 90 days to wed!

Overnight was the series premiere of The Suspect on Sundance Now. The top-rated CBC 4-part documentary involves alleged police misconduct, media frenzy, and wrongful conviction. When millionaire Richard Oland of Moosehead Brewing fame suffered a gruesome 45 blows to his head, neck, and hands, his son Dennis immediately became the police’s prime and only suspect. The case turned one of Canada’s wealthiest families into the cast of a real-life soap opera. The riveting series was directed by Deborah Wainwright, who was granted intimate access to the media-wary family. The series tracks the challenges her team faced navigating the incredible twists and turns that arose during this high-profile case.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Dead Pixels on The CW at 8/7c. The show follows Meg (Alexa Davies, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Nicky (Will Merrick, Poldark), and Usman (Sargon Yelda, Strike) who are obsessed with the online fantasy game “Kingdom Scrolls.” Meg would happily cut a date short to go home and defend Castle Blackfinger. Nicky thinks the miscasting of Vince Vaughn as Tanadaal in the “Kingdom Scrolls” movie is an international outrage. And Usman has made a plywood lid for his child’s playpen, so he can play the game in peace. Oh, and Nicky definitely isn’t into Meg. That would be a cliché. Dead Pixels is split equally between the characters’ tragicomic real lives and their computer-animated misadventures in “Kingdom Scrolls.”

Tonight is also the series premiere of I Quit on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Launching a viable business is a high-stakes gamble, where fear, doubt and uncertainty can hinder your chance for success. In this new show, entrepreneurs from six businesses risk it all when they give up their steady 9-to-5 jobs to follow their passions in a life-changing journey that begins with the words “I QUIT.” Over the course of one year, the show follows six sets of hopeful entrepreneurs as they leave their steady incomes and retirement plans behind, going all in on their dreams of launching their own businesses. Along the way, they will be mentored by three successful business leaders who have each built empires of their own — Harley Finkelstein, COO of Shopify, the global commerce platform powering more than 1 million businesses around the world; Debbie Sterling, CEO of the award-winning children’s multimedia company, GoldieBlox; and Tricia Clarke-Stone, entrepreneur, author, innovative marketer and co-founder/CEO of the award-winning creative and tech agency, WP Narrative_.

Overnight was also the complete premiere of the limited series High Score on Netflix. This docuseries traces the history of classic video games, featuring insights from the innovators who brought these worlds and characters to life.

Tonight is the series premiere of Dodgeball Thunderdome on Discovery Channel at 9/8c. For generations, dodgeball was a game of either fun or fear depending on where you stood in the middle school pecking order. Discovery takes on dodgeball in a way only Discovery can, transforming the game into an epic sporting adventure in all-new arena where everyday people become heroes. On an isolated 13.8-acre specially constructed site, winners are not determined simply by their strength and the losers aren’t always picked last. Here, contestants have a chance to claim glory in extraordinary challenges where strength matters but so does strategy, quick thinking, and the willingness to leave everything on the field. This summer, pop culture phenom David Dobrik hosts this all-new competition series along with co-hosts Erin Lim and Andrew Hawkins, taking dodgeball from the middle school gymnasium to the Thunderdome. The pool of adult competitors are ready to hit the playing field not just for the glory, but for redemption from the days of being picked last. Competitors range from professional athletes to those who’ve never played a sport in their life. But they all have one thing in common — a drive to win. It all culminates with a special 9th episode — a tournament of champions that brings back all of the winners from the previous 8 episodes who will then compete for a $25,000 cash prize.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Cari & Jemele: Stick to Sports on Vice at 10/9c. Jemele Hill and Carrie Champion deliver their unapologetic, engaging and comedic perspectives on today’s issues.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Growing Belushi on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Jim Belushi is a man of many talents – actor, singer, dancer, and now… legal cannabis farmer. Using his many talents, combined with an immense passion, Jim is ready for his next stage in life – building a cannabis business from scratch in southern Oregon. Follow Jim, his family, and their dedicated team at Belushi’s Farm as they make their mark in the industry and spread the benefits of legalized marijuana.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Donkmaster on Vice at 10:30/9:30c. In a motorsport subculture show like no other, Sage Thomas (a.k.a. The Donkmaster) is the king of the donk street race scene throughout the South, leaving everyone else in his dust. The show follows him and his crew before and more importantly during these all-out street races with mobile works of art.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Hoops on Netflix. A foul-mouthed high school basketball coach is sure he’ll hit the big leagues if he can only turn his terrible team around. Good luck with that. Jake Johnson (New Girl, Stumptown) stars as Ben Hopkins.

Tonight is also the series premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue on VH1 at 8/7c. Cameras follow six legendary drag queens in their professional and personal journeys as they take on Las Vegas in a brand new RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! residency. The cast includes season 11 winner Yvie Oddly, and iconic queens Asia O’Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls and Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo. RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue brings viewers behind the scenes of a jaw-dropping live stage show as it launches on the world famous Las Vegas strip. The series gives fans a deeper look into the lives of their favorite queens as they showcase the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent it takes to pull off groundbreaking performances in front of a live audience.

Tonight is also the series premiere of 100 Days Wild on Discovery Channel at 9/8c. The show takes place in Alaska’s remote Tanana Valley where group founders Jennifer and Andrew have searched for other like-minded individuals to join them in building a self-sustaining colony. They are soon joined by Adam, Oliver, Gerrid, Christine, and Evan to build the lives they haven’t been able to make in the lower 48. Along the way, the survivalists will be tested by elements, not to mention one another. While there is no established leader and everyone is said to be equal, those egalitarian ideals are quickly tested by the harsh realities of surviving Alaska. If they can’t figure out the rules, they will fail.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Backyard Takeover on HGTV at 10/9c. Seasoned landscape designer Jamie Durie, best known from the network’s popular show The Outdoor Room With Jamie Durie, helps clients transform their neglected and out-of-control outdoor spaces in his new series Backyard Takeover. The series spotlights Jamie as he works with two families in each episode to turn their lackluster backyards into showstopping, personalized outdoor oases.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Love in the Time of Corona on Freeform at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 8:30/7:30c. Filmed using remote technologies and shot in the cast’s actual homes, this four-part, limited series follows four interwoven stories about the hopeful search for love and connection during this time of quarantine, from the early days of the stay-at-home order through the events that ignited the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests. James and Sade, a married couple who have been living somewhat separate lives, are forced back under the same roof after the pandemic puts James’ work travel to a halt. With headlines mounting, they begin to reevaluate their family’s priorities. Roommates Oscar and Elle’s mostly platonic friendship becomes increasingly complicated with the uncertainty of the pandemic as they wonder if they can find love under one roof. Paul and Sarah put up a “happy couple” facade for their daughter Sophie’s sake when the pandemic sends her home from college, although unbeknownst to her, they have separated. Nanda, a headstrong woman whose husband is unable to return home from his rehab facility, is determined to celebrate her fiftieth wedding anniversary. It stars Ava Bellows, Charlie Robinson, Gil Bellows, L. Scott Caldwell, Leslie Odom Jr, Nicolette Robinson, Rainey Qualley, Rya Kihlstedt, & Tommy Dorfman.
