Today is the complete first season premiere of Defying Gravity: The Untold Story of Women’s Gymnastics on YouTube at 12PM/11AMc. Exploring the events and milestones, hopefuls and icons, heartbreaks and triumphs of the sport, each episode raises questions on the most challenging and thrilling aspects of gymnastics. How do athletes preserve their passion, confidence, and voice in a sport that pushes them beyond their limits? How do gymnasts maintain their mental toughness and laser focus while contending with all the external pressures placed upon them? And in an era of difficulty-dominant scoring, how do athletes stay unafraid of their own power? The documentary series examines these sport-specific subjects, while going in-depth on the broader themes of self-expression and resilience. In addition, the series does not shy away from the darker aspects of the sport, showing how gymnasts overcome body image issues, ageism, and abuse. Episode 5 of the series features survivors describing the sport’s culture of abuse and explaining how they’re using their voices and the life skills that gymnastics taught them to reclaim their beloved sport.

Tonight is the series premiere of Filthy Rich on FOX at 9/8c. This is a southern Gothic family soap in which wealth, power and religion collide — with outrageously soapy results. When the patriarch (Gerald McRaney, This Is Us) of a mega-rich Southern family, famed for creating a wildly successful Christian television network, dies in a plane crash, his wife (Kim Cattrall, Sex and the City) and family are stunned to learn that he fathered three illegitimate children, all of whom are written into his will, threatening their family name and fortune. With monumental twists and turns, Filthy Rich presents a world in which everyone has an ulterior motive — and no one is going down without a fight.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Like, Share, Dimelo on Fuse at 11/10c. This is a hilarious and unfiltered talk series hosted by Latina comedians, Dee Nasty (Darlene Demorizi) and Sasha Merci, who explore trending topics in Latinx and millennial issues, include politics, pop culture, dating and sex. In Like, Share, Dimelo, which originally launched in April 2020 as a short-form digital series, the duo has looked to answer questions such as the meaning of Latinx, cultural appropriation in plastic surgery, and the mind-bending simulation theory of this thing called life.

Tonight is the series premiere of Agents of Chaos on HBO at 9/8c. The film is a product of years of reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 election. With never-before-seen footage inside the Russian troll farms, and videos unearthed from the Russian deep web, the film digs deep into the sophisticated plans to undermine democracy, raising the alarm for the American public, but also proving that these “agents of chaos” weren’t Russians alone; they were also key players in the United States who, through venality, corruption or circumstance, furthered Putin’s goals, with a vulnerable and unsuspecting American public as their target.

Tonight is also the series premiere of I Can See Your Voice on FOX at 9:01/8:01c. The show features actress Cheryl Hines and television host and vocalist Adrienne Bailon-Houghton as they join actor Ken Jeong, a rotating panel of celebrity detectives, comprised of comedians and pop culture experts, and a musical superstar to help one contestant tell the difference between good and bad singers, without ever hearing them sing a note. With $100,000 on the line, the contestant will attempt to weed out the bad “Secret Voices” from the good, based on a series of clues, interrogation, and lip synch challenges. In the end, the singer whom the contestant picks will reveal if they are good or bad in a duet performance with the musical superstar, resulting in an amazing musical collaboration or a totally hilarious train wreck.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Haute Dog on HBO Max. Robin Thede (A Black Lady Sketch Show) is joining celebrity dog groomer Jess Rona to judge the imaginative challenges and out of the box themes meant to spotlight the best looks for man’s best friend. These doggy makeover wizards compete to turn the K-9s into K-10s. Comedian Matt Rogers serves as the show’s host. The most adorable competition series ever created, each episode features three dog groomers facing off over two rounds. Rogers provides comedic commentary as Rona leads the judging panel with her extensive knowledge of breeds and proper grooming techniques, with Thede serving as “haute” expert evaluating the outrageous and jaw-dropping transformations. The judges determine who wins Best in Show, with the lucky groomer walking away with $10,000 and a first place rosette. Rona’s coffee table book Groomed and social platforms, including her signature slo-motion blow dry videos, inspired the series.

Overnight was also the complete first season premiere of The Murders at White House Farm, also on HBO Max. An infamous true crime story. Over thirty years ago, three generations of one family were murdered at their isolated farm. Initial evidence pointed the finger at the daughter of the family who had a history of mental illness, however one detective refused to accept this and delved deeper into the investigation. His determination uncovered new evidence that shed suspicion on another family member. This is a dramatized true crime story based on extensive research, interviews and published accounts, looking at the mystery behind what happened that fateful day. The star-studded cast includes Freddie Fox (Year of the Rabbit), Mark Addy (New Blood), Stephen Graham (Line of Duty), and Gemma Whelan (Gentleman Jack). Mark Stanley (Run), Alexa Davies (Detectorists), Cressida Bonas (The Bye Bye Man), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), and Nicholas Farrell (The Cry) also star.
