Overnight was the series premiere of Moonshiners: Smoke Ring on Discovery+. Deep in the backroads of the South exists an underground world of barbeque where pitmasters carry on the tradition of making the best barbecue in the country. Using just smoke, heat and lessons passed down through the generations, these masters of the pit rely only on their heritage, secret recipes and regional ingredients to make the most mouth-watering meat the country has to offer. Legendary Moonshiner, Stephen Ray Tickle along with “Hogfather” Tank Jackson, venture into the deep South in search of the best, often undiscovered, pit masters from around the country to compete in a high stakes battle to determine whose heritage and skills produce the best tasting meat. It’s man, meat and fire in its truest form — who will walk away King or Queen of the Smoke Ring?

Tonight is the series premiere of Delilah on OWN @ 9/8c. Delilah left a demanding white-shoe law firm a decade ago and hung up her own shingle so she could make raising her kids her number one priority. Now she takes on cases the big firms ignore and finds herself, more often than not, going head-to-head with the powerful and privileged as she fights for the disenfranchised. In addition to raising her two kids, Maia and Marcus, Delilah also cares for her young nephew Dion; manages her relationship with her frustrating ex; and to top it all off, she’s about to go up against her best friend Tamara in court for the first time. Delilah has always represented the underdogs. Tamara has always represented the wealthy and powerful. But this case is different: this time, Delilah’s most cherished friendship is on the line, and there are lives at stake. But Delilah does what she always does – she seeks justice for those who need it most. It stars Amanda Tavarez, Braelyn Rankins, Candace B. Harris, Gray Hawks, Jill Marie Jones, Joe Holt, Joseph Callender, Kelly Jacobs, Khalil Johnson, LaMonica Garrett, Leonard Harmon, Lyriq Bent, Maahra Hill, Michel Curiel, Nigel Gibbs, Ozioma Akagha, Saycon Sengbloh, & Susan Heyward.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Kings of Kush on VICE @ 10:30/9:30c. To help his young daughter with developmental challenges, celebrity TV pitchman, Anthony Sullivan the OxiClean guy, is pitching CBD hemp and launches a new hemp farming venture in Vermont with the help of adventure racer Dave Christian and Survivor winner Ethan Zohn.

Overnight was the Unraveled: The Long Island Serial Killer special on Discovery+. It’s been over a decade since 11 bodies were found on the coast of Long Island. While many have attempted to solve the murders, no one has looked into just why the case remains unsolved…until now. Against a backdrop of police corruption, sexual misconduct and cover ups at the highest levels of the Suffolk County Police Department, co-hosts Alexis Linkletter (The First Degree) and Billy Jensen (The Murder Squad) investigate the investigation itself to expose the untold story of the Long Island Serial Killer. In a search for answers to one of the biggest unsolved murder mysteries in American history, the seven-part true crime podcast series began airing weekly on Wednesdays at the end of January. On May 1, 2010, a young sex worker named Shannon Gilbert went missing. In searching for her, Suffolk County uncovered 10 additional bodies, beginning an exhaustive and coordinated investigation assisted by the FBI. After Gilbert’s body was finally recovered on December 13, 2011, most stories of the Long Island Serial Killer end. This is where UNRAVELED begins. For Long Island natives Linkletter and Jensen, this is a personal journey. In UNRAVELED, the two shed a light on the tight-knit community that may be hiding the clues to the mystery, reveal witnesses that have been silenced, and expose the tangled web of corruption, sexual deviation, and the potential cover up of the Long Island Serial Killer (LISK). Just two days after the discovery of Gilbert’s body, James Burke was named chief of police. Burke immediately blew up the investigation, dismantling the team that had handled the case from the beginning, and mysteriously blocked the FBI from assisting in the case any further. After Burke was arrested on civil rights violation charges in 2016, new doubts were cast on the integrity of the LISK investigation, and the corruption within the police force was blown wide open. Now, with exclusive interviews from those who worked on the investigation, both then and now, as well as an explosive interview with Christopher Loeb, the man who helped put Burke behind bars, UNRAVELED explores how corruption within the Suffolk County PD could have severe implications on the investigation. And, perhaps most ominously, how Burke, the then chief of police, is shrouded in accusations of being tied to the deaths. The Long Island Serial Killer is the first case in the UNRAVELED anthology podcast and series, with future seasons dedicated to covering different captivating true crime stories. Additionally, this companion two-hour special, Unraveled: The Real Story of the Long Island Serial Killer, began streaming overnight last night.

Overnight was the premiere of the first three episodes of Cold Courage on AMC+. Based on the award-winning and best-selling novels from Finnish journalist Pekka Hiltunen, Cold Courage follows two women as they collide during a series of murders in present-day London. Mari, a fierce psychologist, and Lia, a shy graphic artist, are drawn together through the “Studio” — a clandestine group of like-minded people operating off the grid, dedicated to righting the wrongs of the powerful, influential, and corrupt. Mari’s obsession is to stop the meteoric rise of a dangerous, charismatic politician. She needs an unknown face to infiltrate his campaign. Who better than Lia? John Simm (Doctor Who, Life on Mars) stars as populist politician Arthur Fried and is joined by Caroline Goodall (The White Princess) and Arsher Ali (Line of Duty) alongside Finnish leads Sofia Pekkari and Pihla Viitala. Jakob Eklund, Peter Coonan, and Matteo Simoni also star.

Overnight was also the premiere of the first three episodes of Genera+ion on HBO MAX. A dark yet playful half-hour series following a diverse group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality (devices and all) tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love, and the nature of family in their conservative community. The ensemble cast includes Nathanya Alexander, Chloe East, Nava Mau, Lukita Maxwell, Haley Sanchez, Uly Schlesinger, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Chase Sui Wonders with Justice Smith and Martha Plimpton.

Overnight was the documentary My Beautiful Stutter on Discovery+. It follows five kids who stutter ages 9 to 18, from all over the United States, who after experiencing a lifetime of bullying and stigmatization, meet other children who stutter at an interactive arts-based program, The Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY), based in New York City. Their journey to SAY find some close to suicide, others withdrawn and fearful, exhausted and defeated from failed fluency training, societal pressures to not stutter or the decision to remain silent. Over the course of a year we witness firsthand the incredible transformation that happens when these young people of wildly different backgrounds experience for the first time the revolutionary idea at the heart of SAY: that it’s okay to stutter.

Tonight is a 1-hour special Mission Possible: The Race for a Vaccine on NGC at 10/9c. The documentary special breaks down the extraordinary timeline, process, and strategy behind the vaccine’s development, highlighting the high stakes involved. Perhaps most compelling is its focus on the real people who made this happen, introducing viewers to many of the key players who worked on this breakthrough under unprecedented circumstances. Production began late last summer, with the filmmakers grabbing time piecemeal with everyone from company scientists to Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and other executives, as their time would allow. Last April, the company launched a “Science Will Win” ad campaign to hype excitement for the vaccine race and begin the long process of instilling public confidence in the results. As PSA campaigns from organizations like The Ad Council and others continue to address vaccine hesitancy, this new Pfizer film adds another element to that overall effort. Just 60% of those polled by Pew Research Center in November said they would likely get vaccinated, leaving 40% of Americans yet to be convinced.

Tonight is also the feature film Cherry on Apple TV+ at 12:01AM/11:01PMc. An Army medic suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder becomes a serial bank robber after an addiction to drugs puts him in debt. Starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: End Game).

Tonight is also Kid 90 on Hulu at 12:01AM/11:01PMc. As a teenager in the 90s, Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster carried a video camera everywhere she went. She documented hundreds of hours of footage and then locked it away for over 20 years. After all this time, Kid 90 unlocks the vault and presents a true time capsule of a group of friends growing up in Hollywood and New York City in the 90s, balancing childhood and fame pre-internet and social media explosion. It is a deeply personal coming-of-age story that explores how “sometimes we need to look back to find our way forward.” Soleil is joined by lifelong friends and fellow child stars who provide commentary on growing up in the 90s; including David Arquette, Stephen Dorff, Balthazar Getty, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Brian Austin Green, Tori Leonard, Heather McComb, and more.

Overnight was the series premiere of Marvel Studios: Assembled on Disney+. Now that you’ve watched the Marvel Cinematic Universe come to life — on both the big and small screen — see how it all initially came together with Marvel Studios: Assembled. The new comprehensive documentary series of specials goes behind-the-scenes of the shows and movies of the MCU, following the filmmakers, cast and crew, and Marvel heroes every step of the way. Assembled will take viewers through productions such as WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki via exclusive on-set footage. Join filmmakers and stars like Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner as they detail the genesis of the Black Widow film, and the Hawkeye series. Assembled is an immersive, and in-depth examination of the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It stars Hannah Ware, Zoe Tapper, Dimitri Leonidas, Amir El-Masry, Lois Chimimba, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Pallavi Sharda, Jana Perez, Diarmurtagh, Gregg Chillin, Wilf Scolding, Stephen Campbell Moore, Simone Kirby, Albano Jeronimo, Eduardo Lloveras, & Miguel Amorim.

Overnight was the limited series special Isabel on HBO Max. Based on the life of Isabel Allende, the world’s most widely read Spanish-language author and a tireless fighter for human rights, Isabel is a story about forgiveness and overcoming pain to achieve success. At the peak of her career, Isabel receives the devastating news that her adult daughter is on the verge of dying. She abandons everything to become a full-time mother and her daughter dies in her arms a year later. In parallel, viewers will witness the passion and risks taken by a woman who is willing to break all socially accepted standards of her time to pursue happiness. Isabel must leave her native Chile due to political conflicts, abandoning everything for love and immersing herself into literature to heal her wounds. The pain may have bent her, but it never breaks her. (This is in Spanish with English subtitles.)

Also overnight was the documentary film special Own the Room on Disney+. The film follows five young star students on their journey to win one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for student entrepreneurs. From disparate corners of the planet, the competitors take their big ideas to Macau, China, host of one of the most prestigious entrepreneurship competitions in the world, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards. Santosh is from a small farming town in Nepal; Alondra works the register at her family’s bakery in Puerto Rico; Henry is a programming wiz from Nairobi; Jason is a marketing machine from Greece; and Daniela is an immigrant escaping the crisis in Venezuela, taking on the chemical industry from her lab at NYU. They’ve each overcome immense obstacles in pursuit of their dreams, from hurricanes to poverty to civil unrest. Their ideas have already changed their own lives, but are they ready to change the world?

Also overnight was the second part of the Marvel Studios: Legends special on Disney+. The second half of the special serves as an exciting refresher for the various heroes and villains making their way to the highly anticipated streaming shows premiering on Disney+, setting the stage for the upcoming adventures. The episodes will feature Falcon, Winter Soldier, Zemo, and Sharon Carter.

Finally, overnight was the feature film Yes Day on Netflix. A mom and dad who usually say no decide to say yes to their kids’ wildest requests — with a few ground rules — on a whirlswind day of fun and adventure. It stars Jennifer Garner, Edgar Ramirez, Jenna Ortega, Julian Lerner, Everly Carganilla, Tracie Thoms, Fortune Feimster, Nat Faxon, & Arturo Castro.
