Tonight is the series premiere of UFO on Showtime at 9/8c. A four-part docu-series from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Glen Zipper explores our fascination with unidentified flying objects, and what clandestine influence the American government, lucrative private companies and the military may have in shielding the truth behind extraterrestrial phenomena to further their own agendas. The series explores unsettling theories of a subject that recently reached national headlines, and has historically been the focus of powerful politicians and CEOs, while average citizens pursuing the very same truth have been ridiculed and ostracized. Ignited by the bombshell New York Times story in 2017 revealing that the Pentagon had been secretly tracking UFOs for years, the series examines the history of the phenomenon through cultural and political touchpoints, including shocking testimony from eyewitnesses across the country. As the conversation grows more bizarre and reaches the mainstream by virtue of credible investigations into alien encounters, UFO confronts the most enigmatic questions of all: Why do we believe what we believe? And what is the elusive truth beyond this decades long mystery?

Tonight is the series premiere of Reservation Dogs on FX on Hulu at 12:01AM/11:01PMc, along with a second new episode. This is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California. Bear Smallhill (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) is destined to be a warrior, and a leader. The only problem is he’s not a good fighter, and the gang doesn’t really consider him the leader. But with the guidance of a questionable spirit guide, he just might get there. Elora Danan (Devery Jacobs) may be the true leader of the group. But she’s so focused on getting to California, and so oblivious to her own power, that she often can’t see the beauty and goodness in herself and all around her. Smart-mouthed tough girl Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis) is the beating heart of the group. She’s always looking out for her crew. Meanwhile, Cheese (Lane Factor) is the gentle, quiet ride-or-die who is so willing to go along with the group that he never stops to consider what his own dreams might be. One year ago, Daniel, the fifth member of the Reservation Dogs, died. Struggling to make sense of the loss, the remaining four blame the reservation, its poverty and its ability to crush the spirit. They decide to honor Daniel by adopting his dream of getting to California as their own. To succeed, they will have to save enough money, outmaneuver the methheads at the junkyard on the edge of town, constantly dodge conspiracy-obsessed Lighthorseman “Big” (Zahn McClarnon) and survive a gang war against a much tougher rival gang, led by the enigmatic Jackie (Elva Guerra). Reservation Dogs has Native rappers, catfish, Indigenous superstitions and spirits both hilarious and terrifying, laughter, tears, unexpected grandmothers, decent people, terrible people and a cavalcade of supporting characters who color and shade this already vibrant world. Filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Reservation Dogs is a breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television both in front of and behind the camera. Every writer, director and series regular on the show is Indigenous. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences – and invites audiences into a surprisingly familiar and funny world.

Tonight is the series premiere of Beast Buddies on Animal Planet at 10/9c, followed by a new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Some people love animals more than they love their own families. Meet the Beast Buddies – owners so obsessed with their exotic pets they risk sanity and safety to live together. Discover a world of big eogs, big cats and big money — as well as plenty of wry laughter. Darkly humourous, deeply personal and sometimes disturbing — welcome to Beast Buddies.

Tonight is the series premiere of Money Hungry on Food Network at 10/9c. In the ultimate test of their taste buds, talented chefs, restaurant critics, cookbook authors and accomplished home cooks are competitors vying to win $50,000. In the five-episode series hosted by Kal Penn, competitors showcase their impressive palates in a series of increasingly complex tasting challenges that push their senses and culinary knowledge to the limits. With each dish dramatically revealed under a cloche, the action begins with sixty seconds of rapid-fire tastings where the competitors must identify specific ingredients, then proceeds to the main course round where the challenges become more difficult with every reveal. Each episode has two guest panelists, who are available to provide limited use “flavor favors” lifelines to competitors. In the end, only those that survive through the final tasting are awarded $50,000.

Tonight is the series premiere of Family Game Fight! on NBC at 10:30/9:30c. Hosted by Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, “Family Game Fight!” pits America’s funniest husband and wife against one another as they are “adopted” into a family of four competing for $100,000 in a series of fun-filled and larger-than-life games. Marking the first time Bell and Shepard have paired up for a television project, Family Game Fight! is inspired by the couple’s competitive antics on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

A modern drama series, Fantasy Island takes place at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. The resort is run by Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez), who set aside her own ambitions — and even the love of her life — to uphold her family’s legacy. Sophisticated, insightful and always charming, Elena’s calm exterior masks the challenges of the responsibilities she has assumed as steward of this mysterious island. Delving into the “what if” questions — both big and small — that keep us awake at night, each episode will tell emotional, provocative stories about people who arrive with dreams and desires and depart enlightened and transformed through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Ex-Rated on Peacock. Ex-Rated explores the growing trend of adult singles who send standardized “exit surveys” to all of their previous romantic partners – from long-term relationships to casual hook-ups – to learn why their relationships never materialized or simply didn’t last. Ex-Rated is a revealing social experiment that looks at sex and relationships in a whole new light – it will be hilarious, shocking, awkward and even informative. The series challenges adult singles of all ages and backgrounds to face raw, candid feedback on everything from their personality to sexual prowess and relationship skills in order to find out where they went wrong and how they can improve. Hosted by Andy Cohen.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of The Hunt for a Killer on Sundance Now. A crime drama based on the true story of detectives Pelle Ã…kesson (Anders Beckman, Midsommar) and Monica Olhed (Lotten Roos, The Bridge) and their hunt for the killer of 10-year-old Helén Nilsson, a case that shook Sweden to its core. In March 1989, the sadistic murder of Helén in Hörby, a small town in southern Sweden, traumatized the nation. A seemingly impossible case, it remained unsolved for 15 years, leaving the small community and the police force entrusted to protect it with a painful open wound. On the night Helén disappeared, there were about twenty suspected pedophiles living in Hörby. This is the prelude to The Hunt for a Killer, which follows the unwavering journey of the two detectives Ã…kesson and Olhed who led an investigation team that solved numerous homicides in southern Sweden and who would eventually, against all odds, find Helén’s killer. The Hunt for a Killer is a story about a region left behind, class inequalities and social exclusion, but it’s also a story about a man of integrity who pushed back against the authorities, revolted against corruption and never gave up.

Overnight was the series premiere of The Hype on HBO Max. A competition series set in the colliding worlds of streetwear, business and culture where fashion visionaries must elevate their designs and entrepreneurial sense to avoid elimination while remaining authentic to their style. The series features ten streetwear professionals who will compete in challenges to prove they can walk the walk and deliver the product. Speedy Morman will host the eight-episode season, which will feature co-signers judging the competition, including Grammy(R) nominated recording artist and designer Offset, creative director and founder of Bephies Beauty Supply Bephie Birkett, and Emmy(R) nominated Costume Designer and Renowned Stylist Marni Senofonte. The panel of judges will critique the competing streetwear’s unique DNA, combining fashion, music, art and lifestyle to refine the idea of a “runway” and the balance between art and commerce. Special guests appearing throughout the series include Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg, Dapper Dan and Bobby Hundreds to name some. Every episode will offer unique tips and takeaways about the intricacies of designing, the business of fashion and the savvy to identify the latest trends, while also providing mentorship to the contestants.

Overnight was the series premiere of The Ms. Pat Show on BET+. Based on Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams’ stand-up comedy and memoir, the ten-episode multi-camera sitcom will tell the story of a former convicted felon turned suburban mom (Ms. Pat), whose hustle and resilient spirit was forged on the streets of Atlanta. To much reserve, she now finds herself in conservative middle America alongside her well-intentioned husband, played by J. Bernard Calloway (City On A Hill), a struggle of a sister played by Tami Roman (The Family Business), and two distinct sets of kids played by Theodore Barnes (The Prince of Peoria), newcomer Briyana Guadalupe, and Vince Swann (50 Central), raised under very different circumstances. Brian Grazer, Lee Daniels, President of Imagine Television Samie Kim Falvey, and Anthony Hill (who serves as the series’ showrunner) will executive produce, alongside Ms. Pat and Jordan E. Cooper (“Star”), who also penned the pilot. “Ms. Pat” marks Grazer’s and Daniels’ first scripted project on the network.

Overnight was the series premiere of Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalco on Discovery+ followed by two additional new episodes. Groundbreaking comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is not a chef and don’t dare call him a “foodie,” but he is obsessed with food – and in this new series he takes a deep dive into the gastronomic world from every angle. Filled with his signature social observations, commentary and appearances from his wife Lana and mom Rose, Sebastian is all in to explore the food-centric topics he has always been curious about. During his culinary education, he finds himself exploring the similarities between sushi and comedy with comedian Russell Peters, powering through a bout of sea sickness during a fishing adventure, throwing a meat-centric dinner party for guests including Bert Kreischer and Anjelah Johnson, and going on sandwich expeditions with funny pals Rich Eisen, Fortune Feimster, Gillian Jacobs and Oscar Nuñez.
