Tonight is the series premiere of Chapelwaite on Epix at 10/9c. Set in the 1850s, the series follows Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody) who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations. It stars Adrien Brody, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Ens, Sirena Gulamgaus, & Ian Ho.

Tonight is the series premiere of Gossip on Showtime at 8/7c. The show celebrates the history of tabloid reporting throughout the last half century, following Rupert Murdoch’s purchase of the New York Post and the career of its legendary columnist Cindy Adams. It delves into the world of tabloid journalism, which rose to popularity in New York City in the late ’70s and took the world by storm. The city’s most prominent gossip columnists – Liz Smith, George Rush, Richard Johnson and notably Queen of Gossip Cindy Adams – built their careers reporting on and creating icons – even sometimes becoming celebrities themselves. Through the popularity of gossip, Adams and her fellow writers, over time, helped reshape journalism and set the agenda for who becomes famous for the decades to come. Each episode distinctly dissects and dishes on how gossip and its stewards evolved across a different decade, reflecting on the biggest scoops and scandals — from Donald Trump’s divorce to Paris Hilton — and examining its double-edge sword: Gossip can inspire communal kinship, but it can be weaponized to take down anyone in its footpath.

Overnight was the series premiere of Naked and Afraid of Love on Discovery+. Today’s dating world has become filtered — through the clothes we wear, personas we share online, and the preferences we set before we even begin swiping. But what if the filters, pressures, and often unrealistic standards of modern dating were completely stripped away and we were left only with our most primal wants and needs? What would that expose about who we really are? What kind of partner would we attract? Would we be distracted by all the beautiful naked bodies or go deeper and forge stronger connections? In this new series, 16 naked strangers ready to find love will strip down and bare it all to answer these questions and more in the ultimate challenge that blends survival, romance and everything in between.

Tonight is also the series premiere of NYC Epicenters 9/11->2021 1/2 on HBO at 8/7c. This four-part documentary is a rich tapestry of New York City in the 21st century, weaving together the stories, memories, and insights of those who were eyewitnesses to New York’s greatest challenges. Director Spike Lee conducted over 200 interviews for the documentary series which features first-hand accounts from residents of all walks of life, including first responders, politicians, and journalists alongside Lee and his own family and friends, complemented by a treasure trove of visual imagery. The quintessential New York filmmaker uses his unique sensibilities to craft a multi-faceted mosaic of the city as it deals with some of the most life-changing events of the last twenty years. Beginning with the ongoing global pandemic and the urgency of the Black Lives Matter movement, Lee traverses through time to the devastating terrorist attacks of 9/11. This provocative series is an epic chronicle of life, loss, and survival in what Lee calls “the greatest city on this God’s earth,” capturing the flavor and heart of New York City, exploring its resilience and grit, and affirming its innate ability to rebound, rebuild and endure. Lending their opinions and insights to the series is a chorus of voices that mirrors the diversity of the city itself. Interviewees include Jon Stewart, Rosie Perez, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro; politicians Chuck Schumer, Bill De Blasio, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ron Kim, Mondaire Jones, Stacey Plaskett, Ritchie Torres, Muriel Bowser; medical professionals Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Ian Lipkin, Dr. Fritz Francois; NYFD members; machine operators from Ground Zero; engineers and architects; news anchors and reporters.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Machines That Built America: Snack Sized on History Channel at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. This series tells the sped-up, super-charged, half-hour history of the top innovators and brands behind the machines that built America. It thrusts viewers from the surprising beginnings all the way up to the present day and spotlights the story you didn’t know and fills in blanks you didn’t even know were there, from iconic names like Chevrolet, Boeing, and Harley Davidson.

Tonight is the complete limited series premiere of The Unusual Suspects on Hulu at 12:01AM/11:01PMc. In Sydney’s glamorous suburbs, Sara Beasley (Miranda Otto), a rich business woman, lives along Evie (Aina Dumlao), her nanny who holds her family together. What Sara ignores is that Evie has a daughter of her own, left behind in the Philippines. Roxanne Waters, a self-made Filipina socialite, is married to Jordan who bought her a precious necklace…just before being arrested for fraud. Overnight is the feature film Mosquito State on Shudder. Isolated in his austere penthouse overlooking Central Park, obsessive Wall Street data analyst Richard Boca (Beau Knapp) sees ominous patterns: His computer models are behaving erratically, as are the swarms of mosquitos breeding in his apartment, an infestation that attends his psychological meltdown. On Wall Street, they’re called ‘quants’—the intense data analysts whose mathematical prowess can make the difference between a fortune and a flop. Consumed with his work, Richard doesn’t often stray from his office or apartment.
