I’m really enjoying the new season of NCIS: Hawai’i. Granted, it’s only been one episode aside from the premiere, but last week’s ep was pretty good. The team had to learn more about illegal street racing when a Marine staff sergeant’s body was found in a car being crushed in a junkyard. The killer turned out to be what felt like (to me, at least) the least likely suspect. On a personal note, Tennant knew her son was hiding something, and it turned out he was—a new girlfriend. It was the first time he hadn’t come to her with that kind of news, and she realized she would just have to be patient. Also, Whistler was ready to introduce Lucy to her coworkers, but when her boss assumed that Whistler’s partner was a male, she worried how they’d take the news that he was a she. Turned out she didn’t need to worry. Lucy and their relationship were welcomed with open arms at the company picnic.
On tonight’s episode, “Stolen Valor,†Tennant and the NCIS team suspect foul play when they investigate a fatal car crash involving a Navy officer who turns out to be an imposter. Also, Whistler finds herself in danger when she goes undercover to learn the truth behind the accident.
To see if Whistler comes out unscathed, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching Dancing with the Stars, Bob Hearts Abishola, Halloween Baking Championship, NCIS, Halloween Cookie Challenge, & Quantum Leap.

It wouldn’t be a normal season of remote posts if I didn’t recommend The Voice at least once. I have been a fan of the show since the very first season, and I still watch it with my teenage daughter today. I’ll be honest and say that there was a time where I thought I’d never like a judge better than Adam Levine (I mean…he is quite easy on the eyes), but my lust for him is outdone by my admiration for John Legend. Not only is Legend sexy as hell, but his demeanor, musical knowledge, and general kindness make him my favorite by far. I think that anyone who ends up on his team is beyond blessed because he is guaranteed to help your career and talent blossom.
On tonight’s episode, “The Blind Auditions Part 5,” coaches Camila Cabello, John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani all vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
To see which musical dreams soar, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching NCIS: Hawaii, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, Quantum Leap, and The Cleaning Lady.
