If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/10/11

Well, it’s the end of kind of a slow week. There were some great episodes on this week, although we ended pretty slow. Hopefully, next week will be a bit better. If it’s not, the week after will be, I know! 😀 As for tonight, there are a couple of things on worth watching, so check out what we think you should watch!

Jenny’s Choice

There isn’t much I can say about Flashpoint that I haven’t said many times before. I love the drama, the cast is fantastic, and the cases are great. David Paetkau’s Sam is so yummy, and I love the chemistry he and Jules have. Now that Jules and her boyfriend of … I guess a couple of months … have broken up, hopefully Sam and Jules can get back together. I have a feeling it won’t be right away, but hopefully it won’t be TOO far in the future.

On tonight’s episode, the SRU’s attempt to take down a crime boss backfires and the boss gets away, taking his girlfriend, who is the SRU’s criminal informant, with him.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/9/11

Sorry! I’m running late today, as yesterday, I was up for 24 hours. Once I fell asleep, I slept 15. LOL So… Anyway, since Megan, Lisa, and Jason are basically giving you what I might have, I’m going to skip out of telling you what I think you should watch. 😉 To see what they think, check it out below. – Jenny

Jason’s Choice

While tonight’s Community repeat, “Basic Rocket Science,” is one of my favorite episodes from this past season, my pick tonight is Love Bites. I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed last week’s premiere episode. It’s fun and light and actually makes a really good summer series. Yet, it was good enough that I was surprised that NBC never tried it out somewhere during the regular TV season. The three-vignette style makes each episode feel like a compilation of sitcom shorts, and they did a much better job of tying each of them together through the small group of main characters than anticipated. At any rate, it’s worth checking out. Besides, other than the NBA Finals game, there isn’t anything else on tonight. It’s still two weeks until we get the return of Burn Notice, followed by the excellent new series Suits on USA Network, to spruce up our Thursday nights this summer.

Tonight’s three stories include a woman scaring off a guy by baking for him, a couple that is trying to accept their son’s gay relationship, and a guy that decides to take up knitting so he can spend more time with a woman. Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) guest stars.

Love Bites plays tonight on NBC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Love Bites @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/8/11

I’m so glad the summer season is here. Sure, it’s still fairly slow, but more and more, things will start amping up, until our schedules are full again! As for tonight, there are a few good things on, and we’re here to let you know what we would have you watch, if you could only watch one thing. 😉

Jenny’s Choice

Last week’s series premiere of Franklin and Bash was great. I love the two leads (I mean, seriously…it’s Mark Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer. What’s not to love?), and Malcolm McDowell was fantastic as their new boss, Stanton Infeld. The other characters (Reed Diamond as nemesis, Damien Karp, Kumail Nanjiani as Pindar Singh, Dana Davis as Carmen Phillips, and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon as Hanna Linden) all rounded out the show well. I have to say that Nanjiani’s Pindar was probably my favorite. He played the OCD/phobic character so well and it was just really amusing to watch.

On tonight’s episode, Franklin and Bash take on an interesting case that involves a murdering wife, but while it may be an open and shut case for most, the duo use their unique style of courtroom flare to try and get both judge and jury on their side.

Don’t miss it tonight on TNT at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Frank & Bash @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote … 6/7/11

I just finished booking my hotel for Comic-Con, and I am getting excited. 😀 Anyone else going?

Last week was a really slow week for television, but this week is better, so without furthur chit-chat, let’s look at what you should be watching.

Megan’s Choice

While there are a few other shows on tonight that are worthy of your time, I’m going to suggest you watch the first live episode of The Voice. I know, I know, it’s another singing show, but it’s really the teams that make me keep tuning in… Of course, the hot team leaders don’t hurt. 😉 Tune in to see your favorite battle it out, and then enjoy the power that comes with being able to vote.

On tonight’s episode, in this live performance phase of the competition, the top vocalists from each team will compete against each other during a live broadcast. America will vote to save one vocalist on each team, leaving coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton to decide during the live show who they will save, and who will not move on.

Tune in to NBC at 9/8c for this 2-hour first live episode. Learn where to find episodes online of The Voice @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/6/11

There’s some fun stuff on tonight, but all the stuff I would be recommending, Megan, Lisa, and Jason are giving you, so I’m sticking to writing the intro and letting them flip your channels. 😉 Enjoy, and let us know what you’re going to be watching! – Jenny

I’m excited for tonight’s season premiere of Masterchef, especially because last week was so slow. Gordon Ramsay is amazing with his balancing so many shows on the go. I love the fact that the contestants are usually just your every day man/woman, in some cases.

On tonight’s episode, after a nationwide search, 100 of the best amateur cooks in America, including a police officer, an oil rig engineer, a professional poker player, and a tattoo shop owner are sent to Los Angeles, where they hope to walk away with the grand prize.

Don’t miss it tonight on FOX at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Masterchef @ Clicker.
