Recap/Review – Survivor – “Two Tribes, One Camp, No Rules” & “Total Dysfunction” – 2/15/12 & 2/22/12

We have arrived at the 24th season of Survivor. Unbelievable! This season, entitled “One World,” is already proving to be anything but one world. Everyone is probably wondering how Survivor can possibly add anything new to keep us viewers watching. I’ll tell you how—you take a group of women and name them Salani, and then you take a group of men and name them Manono. Wait, stay with me, it gets better. You take away Redemption Island (thank God!!) and you throw both tribes together on the same beach!!

As you can imagine, there were many cast members none to happy with being segregated from the opposite sex, but then to find out you have to share the same beach? This is just the kind of drama I love! A bunch of females working together—ya right…we all know how well things go when catty, opinionated, emotional, and back-stabbing girls get together! Then we turn to the men. Basically, we have one gay, one little person, two Tarzans, and a bunch of guys who probably love their reflection more than life itself!

Recap/Review – The Vampire Diaries – “Bringing Out the Dead” – 2/2/12

Finally, The Vampire Diaries is back! I don’t know about all of you, but I was anxiously awaiting this episode to see what happens between Klaus and Elijah. We are not disappointed, as the scene picks up with the two brothers, and let’s just say that Elijah is pissed off! Not that I blame him… I mean, how far can family loyalty really stretch when your vampire brother keeps sticking you with a dagger? Obviously, Klaus asks and expects Elijah to help him destroy Stefan, considering that Klaus has gotten rid of Michael. Speaking of brothers, the Salvatores have managed to put some differences away in order to deal with Klaus. Of course, there is still animosity and snide remarks, but what can I tell you? They’re messed up vampires.

Recap/Review – The Vampire Diaries – “The Ties That Bind” – 1/19/12

In this latest episode of The Vampire Diaries, “The Ties That Bind,” we are privy to some returning characters and a new one. I just love meeting someone new and seeing an older loved character! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!

The title this week is on point, as everyone seems to be bound by some tie, be it family, love, or the creature they have become. We all know that Elena is usually the one bound by the most ties, what with the love triangle, supernatural friends, family (what’s left, anyway!), and her biggest one – her sense of responsibility for everything! Take a break already! Well, for once, the episode focuses on someone who finds an unexpected person in her life: Bonnie.

Recap/Review – Supernatural – “Slash Fiction” – 10/28/11

Amazingly gruesome, funny, and just plain awesome! In case you didn’t get the point, I loved this latest instalment of Supernatural. Not only do I get to see another set of Winchester brothers, but the layers of humour and story were so well done that I didn’t want it to end.

We have Bobby at the grind again, but this time, he is doing hands on research in the basement. The Leviathan that Don Stark had subdued at the end of the last episode is now Bobby’s guinea pig, as Bobby tries to find a way to kill him and all Leviathan. Nothing seems to be working to well, except decapitation, which only slows them down.
