Tonight, the second season of Killing Eve premieres, but this year it will be airing on both BBC America and AMC, so those who don’t receive BBC America can finally watch this amazing series!

In the first season, we met Eve (Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy), an MI5 security officer who had grown bored by her desk job. So when she learned that an international female assassin had made her way to London, she jumped at the chance to join a secret MI6 unit trying to track down this mysterious Vilanelle (Jodie Comer, Doctor Foster). The more Eve read of Vilanelle’s exploits, the more she became obsessed with this woman. Meanwhile, we saw the charming, funny, and very much insane Vilanelle carrying out her killing spree, ignoring and eventually killing her own handler. She also became obsessed with Eve, and the pair started a mutual game of cat and mouse with one another.

Eventually the pair met face-to-face when Vilanelle broke into Eve’s home and demanded they have dinner together. Later, Eve tracked Vilanelle to a Russian prison, but she managed to escape before Eve could find her. Eve finally caught up with her in Paris, where she caught Vilainelle by surprise as she unexpectedly plunged a knife into her chest.

Don’t let her funny and charming demeanor fool you… Vilanelle is still a ruthless killer – she murdered Eve’s longtime friend/coworker. Despite this, Eve still finds herself inexplicably drawn to this woman. And likewise, Vilanelle feels something for Eve. As we start the second season, Eve is unsure if she killed Vilanelle or not. On one hand, Eve would love to put an end to Vilanelle’s murder spree, but on the other hand, she feels horrible that she may have murdered this woman she has become strangely attracted to.

I really enjoyed the first season – while Sandra Oh won the Golden Globe for her performance, it is Jodie Comer who really makes the show for me. She is amazing in this series. Like Eve, I find myself completely fascinated with and drawn to Vilanelle. She’s a psychopathic killer but so delightful at the same time! It feels wrong to root for her, but I can’t help it! I am happy to report that the second season, which picks up right where we left off, is just as fun, exciting, and shocking as the first. I can’t wait to see more of it!

On tonight’s premiere, “Do You Know How to Dispose of a Body?” Eve is reeling from her act of violence against Villanelle and doesn’t know whether she is alive or dead; a paranoid and severely injured Villanelle manages to get herself to the hospital for treatment; Carolyn approaches Eve with an opportunity.

Find out what opportunity Eve receives tonight on AMC & BBC America at 8/7c.

Tonight, USA Network kicks off the new reality series Growing Up Chrisley. This spin-off finds two of the Chrisley children heading from Nashville to L.A. to try to launch their own careers. Todd had been trying to get Chase and Savannah to follow in his footsteps in the real estate business, but neither of them is interested. Chase wants to pursue a career in acting, while Savannah wants to launch her own cosmetic and fragrance line.

The new series feels very much like the original – tonight’s premiere is pretty much a normal episode of Chrisley Knows Best, with the kids trying to convince their father to let them go on their adventure. He ultimately agrees to a 90-day trial period, with the stipulation that their grandmother join them on their road trip. And so the second episode is more of the same, with Chase and Savannah on a road trip with Nanny Faye. It’s not until the third episode that the new series really kicks off, and Chase and Savannah move to Los Angeles and start on their quest to launch their careers.

The new series is worth a look for fans of the original show, but it may take a few weeks until you see what the new series is really going to be like.

On tonight’s premiere, “Chase & Savannah Fly the Nest,” Chase and Savannah Chrisley embark on a cross-country move to prove they’re independent grown-ups.

See how Chase and Savannah convince their dad of their plans tonight on USA Network at 10:30/9:30c.

I’ll also be watching/recording black-ish, The Rookie, This Is Us, and The Village.

Tonight, TruTV launches the 10-episode first season of the new firehouse comedy Tacoma FD, starring and created by two of the “Super Troopers,” Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme. Terry McConky (Heffernan) was recently made chief of his firehouse, but he’s having trouble transitioning from being one of the guys to being the more responsible one in charge. His brother-in-law and best friend of 25 years, Captain Eddie Penisi (Lemme), doesn’t make this task any easier. He’s always encouraging his buddy to participate in the firehouse shenanigans. Meanwhile, Councilwoman Linda Price (Suzy Nakamura, The Goldbergs) tries to get the chief back on track before the firehouse gets shut down but is often shocked and appalled by the antics she witnesses whenever she arrives unannounced. The rest of the crew includes Andy Myawani (Eugene Cordero, Black Monday, The Good Place), Granny Smith (Marcus Henderson, Get Out, Homecoming), and the dim-witted Ike Crystal (Gabriel Hogan, Heartland, Condor). And shaking things up at the testosterone-filled firehouse is new probie Lucy (Hassie Harrison, Southbound).

I really enjoyed tonight’s premiere – it had me laughing out loud quite a bit. This show definitely has a similar feel to Super Troopers and the other Broken Lizard comedies. There’s a lot of downtime at the station, so the guys need to find ways to amuse themselves, which usually results in playing pranks on one another or coming up with crazy, stupid competitions. When the bell actually does ring and the guys are called to help someone in need, it’s not typically a matter of life and death, so the fun and games also continue on the job. I’m looking forward to watching more of this show – it looks like a fun, comedic alternative to those more serious first responder dramas.

On tonight’s premiere, “On the Hot Seat,” Tacoma FD’s newest chief, Terry McConky, is under scrutiny by the city council to get serious about his station’s ratings; Terry’s crew puts his job in jeopardy by engaging in a ridiculous competition for a super “sawft” prize.

Join the newest TV firefighters tonight on TruTV at 10:30/9:30c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, Superstore, A.P. Bio, Will & Grace, Abby’s, and The Other Two.

It’s taking some time for me to fully like all the characters on the new Whiskey Cavalier. I go back and forth on most of them, depending on the episode. Like last week, I got almost as irritated with Standish as Jai did. He was being pretty disrespectful, having all his trash and crap lying around in other people’s space. I’m no neat freak, but dang. Then again, Standish did well getting the guard to take in the champagne to the bad guy (or rather, the bad guy’s body double. LOL). So it was a tossup. I also got really irritated with Frankie for her crappy attitude toward Will, and going off and kissing the groomsman and then her line about it being the American way for all couples to cheat really ticked me off. I did love the fight in the locker room with the woman from Will’s past! LOL But overall, I’m still enjoying the show, and I think they’re just going to grow and gel as a cast, which will make it even better.

On tonight’s episode, “The English Job,” while investigating suspicious robberies in London, Will hits it off with a sexy British spy, leaving Frankie with some unexpected feelings that she doesn’t know how to process. Meanwhile, Jai competes with Susan over who is more intelligent, and Standish deals with a case of shell shock. Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary) guest stars.

See how Frankie handles her feelings tonight on ABC at 10/9c.

Last week, 9-1-1 returned to FOX, and it didn’t waste any time getting into the craziness, as the team was called to assist a women whose doctors passed out in the middle of her facelift procedure. Afterwards, they assisted with a shark that was stuck in the middle of a highway, chomping away on one of its handler’s arms. Meanwhile, Maddie and Athena teamed up to look into a suspicious 9-1-1 call from a boy who claimed nothing was wrong – it turns out that he and his new brother had both been abducted by their so-called father. This reminded Athena of a little girl who went missing in her own neighborhood when she was young, and it was these events that had inspired her to become a cop.

When not at work, Athena was dealing with a visit from her parents. Her mom Beatrice wasted no time in letting her daughter know how disappointed she was in her. She was particularly upset that she decided to marry Bobby, a white man, and that he was already acting like a parent to her grandchildren. Meanwhile, before the winter break, we saw that Doug, Maddie’s crazy ex, had made his way to town and had secretly befriended Chimney in order to get some intel on his ex. This week, he followed Chimney on his way to a date with Maddie, stabbed him multiple times in the courtyard, and left him bleeding out, and then made his way into the apartment to a shocked and frightened Maddie.

Chimney has already had rebar go through his forehead, and now he’s been stabbed several times in the chest. Will he get lucky and survive yet another devastating injury, or is this it? I’m a little nervous that tonight’s episode appears to be a Chimney origin story. Are we going to get one final look at how he became the fireman and paramedic he is, just to then say goodbye, or will he miraculously pull through? And what about Maddie? Can she escape from Doug and either have him arrested, or better yet, more permanently disposed of?

On tonight’s episode, “Chimney Begins,” look back at how Chimney joined Station 118 and became the firefighter and paramedic he is today.

To see how why Chim joined the fire department, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Fix, The Resident, and Arrow.
