Tonight, the fourteenth season of Grey’s Anatomy comes to a close, as we say goodbye to at least two characters. Last week the episode started off on a happy note, with April sending out the invitations for Alex and Jo’s wedding. However, shortly afterwards, Matthew and April were involved in a car accident. Matthew showed up at the ER but didn’t know where April was. Owen headed out to search for Kepner and discovered her body unconscious and hypothermic in a ravine. It looked like this was the way that April was going to be written out of the show, but after three grueling hours, the doctors finally managed to revive her, and she appeared to be OK. Meanwhile, Arizona gave her notice to Bailey, noting that she would be moving to New York for the sake of her daughter, Sofia. Fortunately, Arizona’s former mentor, Dr. Herman, had returned to the hospital for a treatment, learned of this, and offered Arizona a job where she could work from New York.

It’s always disappointing to see main characters leave a long-running series, and I’ve really grown to enjoy April and Arizona. I’m really happy they didn’t end up killing off Kepner last week, though I’m curious to see how she will leave the series and how that affects the remaining characters. Will these be the only two exits from the series, or what other surprises await? Also, there have been quite a few weddings on this show over the years, and things never seem to go as planned, so will there be some hitch that prevents Alex and Jo from getting hitched?

On tonight’s finale, “All of Me,” the doctors attend Alex and Jo’s wedding, and things do not go as planned. Meanwhile, the stress from the past year has taken a toll on Bailey, and she will re-evaluate some of her decisions.

See if Alex and Jo actually get married and how April leaves the hospital tonight on ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Life in Pieces, Gotham, Arrow, and Imposters.

Tonight, after 7 seasons, the FOX comedy New Girl finally comes to an end. Last week, Winston was anxious about becoming a father, so Jess tracked down his long-lost dad. However, after Winston bonded with this stranger, it turned out that Jess had found the wrong person. Meanwhile, Schmidt tried to go back to work, but being away from Ruth was not easy, and Cece realized just how much of a help Schmidt was at home. And Nick had his proposal all set, but his plans got messed up when he and Jess got a new dog. However, in the end, Nick realized that the situation was never going to be perfect and just went for it, proposing to Jess during an outdoor showing of an 80s rom-com in the park.

The series comes to a close with a really satisfying 1-hour finale. The first half of the finale gives us the wedding that’s been seven seasons in the making, but of course, things don’t quite go as planned, and madness and hilarity ensues. And in the final episode, the series takes a fun trip down memory lane, making lots of callbacks that longtime viewers will really appreciate. Many familiar faces also pop up for cameos during tonight’s two episodes. While I initially thought last year’s season finale did a decent job of wrapping up the show, I’m really happy that we got these extra eight episodes to give the series a proper ending. Tonight’s finale is a gift to the longtime fans, giving a fun and satisfying conclusion to the series as well as a glimpse into what lies ahead for Jess and her former loft-mates.

On tonight’s episode, “The Curse of the Pirate Bride; Engram Pattersky,” Jess and Nick make life-changing decisions; Winston and Aly’s big day arrives; the gang takes a trip down memory lane.

Find out how the series ends tonight on FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, black-ish, Rise, MasterChef: Junior, The Flash, The 100, Legion, and Chrisley Knows Best.

Tonight, NBC airs the 2-hour season (possibly series) finale of Timeless. Last week, Lucy, Rufus, Wyatt, and Jiya traveled back to 1981, the day of the attempted assassination of President Reagan. They assumed Rittenhouse’s target was the president but were surprised to learn that they were trying to kill a young Agent Christopher so that she wouldn’t be around in the future to form the Time Team. During the mission, the team discovered that Rittenhouse was forcing people to act as sleeper agents, sending them into the past, to await activation for unknown missions. Meanwhile, in the bunker, Mason & Christopher remained suspicious of Jessica’s return and tried to figure out the reason Rittenhouse saved her. Once the crew returned, Wyatt got a double-whammy of surprises. Jessica revealed that her brother Kevin was still alive – but in Wyatt’s reality, Kevin had died of leukemia when he was three. And then Jessica also revealed that she was pregnant.

Why did Rittenhouse save Jessica, and is she working for them? Why did they save her brother, and what does he have to do with all of this? Can Jiya’s visions of the future be changed, or is Rufus doomed to die in the Wild West? (It seems easy enough for him to just avoid ever going back to that time period!) At the time I’m writing this, NBC still has not announced the fate of the series, even though the network will be announcing its Fall schedule on Monday morning. Tonight’s finale is a fun, exciting, and action-packed 2 hours. This show has found a great mix of action, drama and humor, and I hope we get to see more. Unfortunately, the season ends in an amazing cliffhanger, so I really hope we get a third season to see what happens next. Fingers crossed that at the time you are reading this, the series has already been renewed for a third season!

On tonight’s episode, “The General; Chinatown,” the team partners with Harriet Tubman to thwart Rittenhouse’s plan to alter the outcome of the Civil War; Jiya escapes from Rittenhouse but is stranded in 1888 with no way home; the fractured team goes back to save her.

See how the season (series?) ends tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Deception, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, Fear the Walking Dead, Killing Eve, Worst Cooks in America, Trust, Westworld, and Silicon Valley.

As I watched last week’s Chicago PD, in that final minute, I texted my husband: Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!. He immediately responded, sounding worried. I’d scared him. But I was shocked. Olinsky had been stabbed repeatedly, and as he slid to the floor, it didn’t look good. That was, of course, after Voight’s plan with the judge goes awry thanks to Denny Woods, which meant Al didn’t get out on bail. I swear, Woods is one step ahead of them every time! And after Al was denied bail, Voight decided it was time to come clean with Woods. Good for him. He went to Woods’s place and said it was time to make things right, basically telling Woods that he would confess if he got assurances that Olinsky was released from prison and not charged for anything. There was a story about guns and Halstead and Atwater going undercover, and it was a good one, but for the most part, the episode was about Voight and Olinksy and that ongoing story.

So did Al survive? Will Voight learn about the attack before he confesses it all to Woods? Will the Woods/Voight conflict finally come to a head? You’ll find out all that and more with tonight’s season finale.

On tonight’s episode, “Homecoming,” tensions run high as Intelligence seeks justice for Olinsky after he’s stabbed in prison. Antonio’s loyalty is put to the test and Woods looks to take down Voight once and for all.

Find out what happened with Al, Woods, and Voight tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Goldbergs, Iron Chef Gauntlet, Modern Family, Property Brothers, SEAL Team, American Housewife, & My Partner Knows Best.

Last week, I finally got around to checking out the new BBC America series Killing Eve, and I was instantly hooked. Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy) works as a security services operative for MI-5, helping to profile serial killers. She generally lives a boring but happy life with her husband but has always been intrigued by the more exciting life of a spy. Eve discovers that there is a mysterious new killer at large, Villanelle (Jodie Comer, Doctor Foster, The White Princess). She is deeply drawn into the case and soon finds herself participating in a deadly game of cat and mouse. However, Villanelle seems to always be one step ahead and has also developed a bit of an obsession with Eve.

This series will make you laugh out loud one moment and have you sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense the next. It has a lot of humor, but it is also a genuine thriller/spy show with surprising twists, murders, and a mysterious mole inside the bureau. Villanelle is such a fun and entertaining character, and the relationship between her and her handler is hilarious. However, she is also very deadly and in the first few episodes proves that she is a ruthless killer who shows no emotion while brutally murdering her victims. Eve is similarly complex. While she jokes a lot in the early episodes, things take a dark turn, and things become a lot more serious and dramatic.

I can’t recommend this show highly enough. It’s definitely one worth catching up on if you haven’t yet checked it out (all of the previously-aired episodes should be bingeable via On Demand). This show just keeps getting better and better each week, and tonight’s episode is no different – there are some unexpected turns that will have you holding your breath!

On tonight’s episode, “I Have a Thing About Bathrooms,” having survived a terrifying close call with Villanelle, Eve now has the mole ensconced in a safe house and is buzzing; they have an exciting opportunity to glean information and crack this thing open.

To see what opportunity they get, tune in to BBC America at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Deception, Timeless, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, The Last Man on Earth, Fear the Walking Dead, Worst Cooks in America, Trust, Westworld, Silicon Valley, Barry, Sweetbitter, and Vida.
