Tonight, the seventh season of AMC’s The Walking Dead comes to a close. In last week’s episode, Sasha had been captured by the Saviors and was given the choice to join Negan or die. While Eugene hoped that she would give in like he did, he offered her the poison pill he had created a few episodes back in case she wanted to take the quick way out. Meanwhile, in the Hilltop, Gregory contemplated killing Maggie while her back was turned but ultimately couldn’t bring himself to do it – in fact, despite all his talk, he’s never even killed a single walker. And elsewhere, Rick and his crew raided Oceanside, as peacefully as possible, getting the guns they need for the forthcoming battle. When the group returned to Alexandria, Rosita revealed that she had brought back Dwight with her and that he wanted to help Rick take out Negan.

Can Dwight really be trusted? Will Gregory reveal Rick’s plan to Negan when he visits the Sanctuary? Or will we finally see all of these various groups of survivors band together and make their move against the Saviors? It should be an exciting season finale, and I’m looking forward to seeing if Rick and the gang will finally avenge the deaths of Glenn, Abraham, and the others who were brutally murdered by Negan or else see what kind of dangerous predicament they will be left in for next season.

On tonight’s 90-minute finale, “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life,” the stakes keep mounting higher and higher as different stories clash, while the group enacts an intricate plan.

See if Negan gets his comeuppance tonight on AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Match Game, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Making History, The Last Man on Earth, Into the Badlands, Big Little Lies, and Crashing.

Tonight, after six exciting seasons, NBC’s Grimm finally comes to an end. Last week, Nick and Eve were inside the mirror trying to launch an attack on the Zerstorer, but they quickly realized they were no match for this creature and his powerful staff. Diana managed to re-open the portal and rescue Nick and Eve, but somehow the trip caused Eve to no longer be a Hexenbiest. Meanwhile, Diana sensed something was wrong and realized that the Zerstorer was also able to escape back into the real world and was now coming for her. As Rosalee and Adalind cast a spell to conceal Diana from the beast, the others, including a newly returned Trubel, looked for a way to stop the Zerstorer. However, when Hank and Wu headed to the police station, they found themselves face-to-face with the beast, who seemingly stabbed them both to death as Nick watched in horror.

Is this truly the end of Hank and Wu? I mean, I know this is the end of the show, but they can’t just die like that, right? There’s got to be some way to bring them back! How will Nick and the others stop the Zerstorer? Will anyone else die in the process? And will we finally see Eve turn back into the old Juliette just in time to give her and Nick a happy ending? I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out and how the series comes to close tonight.

On tonight’s finale, “The End,” Nick must look to his ancestors for strength to save the world from a terrifying end as he faces off against a seemingly unbeatable foe. At the Spice Shop, Monroe, Rosalee, and Eve search for answers and stumble upon a rare potion that may help the fight. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard and Adalind try to keep Diana and baby Kelly safe as the threat has its eyes set on the children.

See how our favorite Portland gang handles the beast and who lives and dies tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Sleepy Hollow & Tangled: The Series.

Tonight, The Amazing Race returns to CBS as 22 new contestants start their adventure around the globe in hopes of taking home the $1M prize. However, for this 29th season, there is a big twist: all eleven teams will be comprised of complete strangers! This race is already difficult enough when you can plan ahead for your partner’s strengths and weaknesses, but meeting your teammate on the starting mat adds even more stress to the game! A while back there was a season where half the teams were “blind dates,” and it actually worked out surprisingly well for the teams that just met. It will be interesting to see if that’s the case again. Will the lack of a history to bicker about actually help these newly formed teams? At least there isn’t necessarily a forced pretense of a love connection between the teammates this time around.

On tonight’s premiere, “We’re Coming for You, Phil!” twenty-two strangers meet at the starting line in Los Angeles and then pair up to form eleven teams who then fly to the first destination: Panama City.

Meet the new teams tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

They blew up the lab!! Did that freak anyone else out at the end of last week’s Bones, when the lab at the Jeffersonian literally got blown to smithereens?? What a way to take down a set when a show is ending, huh? LMAO Anyway, through the viewpoint of four different characters, we followed each of them from the wedding reception up until the bomb went off. I’m totally going out of order, but here were the highlights: Cam’s purse was messed with at the wedding reception, and her keycard for the lab platform was stolen, which is ultimately how the bombs got smuggled into the lab in the middle of the night. Two prisoners escaped from prison, and Kovac (who was after Booth and his family and killed Max) was one of them – he then killed the other man and escaped. At the reception, Avalon warned Booth that Bones was in significant danger. He started to shrug it off but ultimately took the warning to heart. Bones and Angela had a sweet moment of friendship at the reception. Aubrey asked Jessica to move to LA with him when he goes for his new job. She not only turned him down but she broke up with him completely. Oh, and Angela’s pregnant! I figured that out as soon as she started puking her guts up at Zach’s trial. Speaking of Zach… Caroline did all she could to sway the judge in his favor, even though she was the PROSECUTION. It was sweet. And it worked. Between the evidence and all the testimony, Zach is a free man – as soon as he finishes serving the 13 months for helping the killer in the first place. Finally, back to the bomb… Bones had an epiphany moments before the bomb was discovered to be at the lab, and she ran off to grab the evidence, and that left her, Booth, Angela, and Hodgins (who was slower to get out because of his wheelchair)…TRAPPED IN THE LAB WHEN IT EXPLODED! What the what?!

Obviously they can’t all die, right? I trust Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan and their crew more than that. But will they all come away virtually unscathed? And will they find Kovac and whoever was helping him? Is Cam really leaving the Jeffersonian like she said, at least for six months while she and Arastoo do some traveling? Will Angela’s baby be named Pookie Jr.? I know all (okay, most…) of those answers, since I’ve seen the finale. But you’ll have to find out for yourself. If you’re a fan of the show, I urge you not to miss tonight’s episode. It was made for the fans by the biggest fans of the show, Hart and Stephen, and it’s definitely not-to-be-missed!

On tonight’s episode, “The End in the End,” with Kovac still at large, the team searches for evidence to track him down. After Brennan experiences a setback, the rest of the team must figure out how to find Kovac without her, putting everything she has ever taught them to the test. When all signs point to Kovac having outside help, as well as a hideout, Booth and Brennan go searching for him.

Catch the final episode of a terrific series tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing NCIS, Trial & Error, Chicago Fire, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

Today, the BBC comedy Asylum makes its US debut via the Acorn TV streaming service. The series takes the hypothetical situation of what would it be like if Julian Assange and Kim Dotcom were roommates while living in asylum in a foreign embassy. Dan Hern (Ben Miller, Death in Paradise, The Worst Week of My Life) is a whistleblower who leaked the CIA’s torture manual online for the public to see. For the past year, he has been living in asylum in the London embassy of the Latin American nation of the Democratic Republic of El Rico. While the U.S. government and MI6 are still constantly plotting ways to lure Hern out of the building to be arrested/executed for treason, Ambassador Castillo (Darrell D’Silva, Game of Thrones) is afraid that Hern’s celebrity has faded. So Castillo has his children, Rafael (Kayvan Novak, Thunderbirds Are Go) & Rosa (Yasmine Akram, Sherlock) find a fresh new face to offer asylum to in order to get their country back in the news. Enter the loud, obnoxious, but kind-hearted Ludo Backslash (Dustin Demri-Burns), a hacker responsible for releasing thousands of pirated films across the internet. Hern and his new roommate couldn’t be any more different, and comedy ensues.

The series also stars Niky Wardley (The Catherine Tate Show) as Hern’s extremely incompetent lawyer, Lorna, and John Guerrasio as embassy employee Mo, who’s constantly trying to make Hern feel as unwelcome as possible. There’s also a hilarious guest appearance by David Cross (Arrested Development) in the second episode. The series originally aired almost two years ago in the UK, and only 3 episodes were ever produced. However, there are some really fun character dynamics and situations in these three episodes that could have easily led to even more fun episodes. In addition to the odd couple-like roommate comedy, there’s plots involving MI6 trying to catfish Hern, the search for a mole in the embassy, El Rico desperately trying to make a bid to host the World Cup, and more.

If you already subscribe to Acorn TV, this series is worth checking out. Or if you’ve been curious about the streaming service, this series is another reason to check out a free trial. Head to acorn.tv for more details on the service, which is available as a standalone app on Roku, Apple TV, iOS, etc. and as an over-the-top add-on to Amazon Prime.

I’ll also be watching/recording Quantico, Superior Donuts, The Great Indoors, Taken, 24: Legacy, APB, Supergirl, Jane the Virgin, Bates Motel, Young & Hungry, and Baby Daddy.
