Last week on Parks and Recreation, Leslie and Ben made a national mockery out of themselves. Okay, it was just a model UN, but they still crashed and burned hardcore. Leslie got caught up in her feelings for Ben and the possibility he could be into someone else that she completely ran amuck and ruined a special event for some high schoolers. Let’s hope that Leslie can learn that she either has to move on from Ben, or she has to embrace her feelings and let them have a go at a real relationship – even if it may effect her candidacy.

Tonight, Leslie uses her new tourist attraction in order to spend time with Ben. Ron and April encourage Andy to further his education, while Chris assigns a logo redesign to Tom and Jerry.

On last week’s Parks and Recreation, everything seemed so bleak. After all, one of the local groups were predicting that the world was going to end. Tom threw a mega bash with the last cash he had left from his failed entertainment biz with buddy John Ralphio. Leslie, Ron, and Ben monitored the park where the group was camping out for their end of the world campaign. When Leslie saw Ben doing some flirting with another woman, she realized that she may not be over him. Andy had a bucket list, and he and April ran around crossing things off his crazy list.

Tonight, Leslie asks Ben, Andy, and April to help host a Model U.N. for the local high school. Chris asks Ann for some dating advice, and Ron tries to find a replacement for Tom.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/8/11

Thank goodness for TV… When you have a crappy day, it’s great to park yourself in front of the television and just chill out. Last night’s new episodes were desperately needed in my house, and I have a feeling tonight will be the same. In fact, all this week will be a help. lol Anyway, tonight’s episodes are just as fun for me as last night’s. What about you? Read on to see what we think you should be watching!

Sometimes, TV can be light and happy fluff. And those shows definitely have their place. But sometimes, a show or episode promises to be dark and heavy and emotional…such is the case with tonight’s episode of NCIS. A lot of times, this show is fairly light for a drama. Yes, there are murders, and sometimes it’s even heavier than that, but it usually blends humor well with the drama. When I saw the preview for tonight’s episode, though, I was surprised, because it seems like it is going to be quite heavy. Not only will we see flashbacks to a young Jethro Gibbs, but it will be to the time when his wife Shannon was alive. I am really looking forward to seeing if they can introduce some humor into what looks like it’ll be a darker, more dramatic episode. This is the first of a 2-parter. The second part will air next week, on November 15.

On tonight’s episode, “Engaged (Part I),” the NCIS team uncovers a discrepancy with DNA remains when investigating the crash of a military plane that had been transporting caskets.

Check it out tonight on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of NCIS @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/7/11

It’s Monday, it’s Monday! I’m so happy because Monday night is my favorite night for TV tonight. I love so many shows, so even though it’s the first work day of the week, I look forward to Monday nights. I hope you had a great weekend, but even if that or your Monday sucks, you’ll be able to sit down and have a great time watching some quality TV tonight. Enjoy!

Last week’s episode of Castle was fantastic. Castle & his mother were inside the bank when a group of bank robbers held up the place. Castle just happened to be on the phone with Beckett when it happened, which is when one of my favorite parts happened. He told her he thought the bank was being robbed, and she asked, “Really? Are you that bored?” Then the first robber yelled that it was a holdup, and Beckett realized Castle hadn’t just been letting his imagination run wild. Beckett turned to Ryan and Espisito and told them there was a bank robbery in progess. They snarked about since when did they handle bank robberies, and she only had to say two words for them to jump into action: “Castle’s there.” It was fantastic. There were some stand out moments throughout, including Alexis arriving at the bank and freaking out on Beckett, the look and hand touch when Castle passed the note to Beckett after she came into the bank posing as an EMT to get out a “hostage,” and probably my favorite part… when there was an explosion at the end and Beckett thought Castle was dead, but found out a minute later when they went inside that he was safe… They shared this long look and tender moment that just HAD to be ruined by Martha. I could seriously watch the explosion and next two minutes over and over again to see that look on their faces. lol Anyway, the end of the episode, where Beckett came to Castle’s apartment for dinner. It was a great moment just between the two of them, as well as with Beckett and all of the Castle family. I really loved the episode, as always.

On tonight’s episode, “Heartbreak Hotel,” during the investigation of the murder of an Atlantic City casino owner at an abandoned warehouse, strong leads emerge for the team in both New York and Atlantic City. As Beckett and Capt. Gates work the New York leads together, Castle naturally chooses to join the detectives for the road trip to “America’s Playground,” hoping to help solve the case while throwing an impromptu bachelor party for Ryan. Richard Burgi (Desperate Housewives) guest stars as Charlie Turner, the slick business partner of the victim.

Do not miss it tonight on ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Castle @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 11/4/11

Friday is one of my favorite days of the week. Not because it’s the end of the work week, but because it’s a night of great television. There are so many wonderful shows to choose from to help you start your weekend right. You can go with the crime dramas on CBS, or take a walk on the dangerous side with Supernatural or Grimm—there’s never a wrong choice. Helping you decide what to watch is our job, so let’s discuss your options and make it easy.

Last week, I was so sad, because they postponed Blue Bloods for baseball. Now that the World Series is over, we are getting back to regularly scheduled programming. I need my weekly fix of the Reagan family to keep me happy. Week after week, they deliver drama and suspense that keep me glued to my television. A talented, attractive cast and weekly character growth make you love the show even more. If you haven’t yet given this show a chance, you’re missing out.

On tonight’s episode, “Black and Blue,” Frank deals with a political crisis after Jamie and Renzulli are injured by a church security team that refuses to let them enter a religious center in response to a 911 call.

To fall in love with the Reagan family as much as I have, tune in to CBS at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of Blue Bloods @ Clicker.
