I hate story lines that deal with a woman who steals a baby after she loses her own. I mean, they’re always so sad. And Blue Bloods did a great job putting Jamie and Eddie up after Alice, a woman who did just that. You couldn’t help but feel bad for her, even while you knew she was in the wrong. Then there was the whole privacy laws on the side of the terrorists when the NYPD couldn’t get into the bomber’s phone… Ugh. That stuff ticks me off. The best part of that story was when Kelly Peterson was talking to Frank, and she said there was no talking to him when he was like that. Her “impression” of him was hysterical. “Back in my day…” haha And finally the mob guy who gave the DA’s office some info in order to get his son some leniency in the charges against him… This might have been one of only a couple of times that Danny and Anthony have ever agreed on something. Normally those two are at each other’s throats and coming at problems from completely opposite directions. Of course, this time they were right, given the fact that the mob guy actually set up the hit on the family himself in order to be able to report it to Erin.

Tonight’s the season finale, and what a season it’s been. Danny & his sons dealt with the loss of their wife/mother. Jamie dealt with Eddie being shot and realized yet again his feelings for her, as well as his dad trying to get him to apply for the sergeant’s exam. Frank said goodbye to both the mayor who’d become his friend and the temporary mayor who was getting less and less of a pain in his butt at time went by. Erin has been considering (or already started?) dating her ex-husband. Nicky dealt with sexual harassment/assault from her boss, which is quite relevant with what’s going on in the real world right now. So it’s been a big season for everyone.

On tonight’s episode, “My Aim is True,” when a series of drive-by murders occur after six wrongly convicted men are released from prison, Danny and Baez wonder if they were orchestrated by the men as an act of revenge. Also, Frank combats the guilt he feels about these innocent men unfairly serving nine years in prison, and Jamie and Eddie find themselves in a life-threatening situation.

To see how the season ends, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Blindspot & Hawaii Five-0.

The big day is finally here on The Big Bang Theory, the one we’ve been waiting eight years for: Sheldon and Amy are finally getting married! Last week, Sheldon learned from his mom that she wouldn’t attend the wedding if he didn’t invite his brother, Georgie. Sheldon whined and complained but finally dragged Leonard to Texas with him to ask his brother in person since Georgie wouldn’t take his calls. Turned out Georgie (now George) is the tire king (or doctor…since that’s what his chain of stores is called) of the region, and the reason he refused to go to the wedding was that he felt he’d had to sacrifice and put up with too much when growing up, since their parents (and then their mother once their father passed away) focused so much on Sheldon, and Sheldon never appreciated it or thanked George even after all these years. Leonard and George bonded over some of the pains that come with being friends/family with Sheldon, and Leonard gave Sheldon some hard truths about what it was really like for the rest of his family growing up. Sheldon and George had some good bonding time and George agreed to come to the wedding. Jerry O’Connell was great at George, and the whole story line was sweet.

Elsewhere, Bernie and Howard’s kids got pink eye…and gave it to Howard…who ended up giving it to everyone but Sheldon & Leonard, who were out of town…and Penny, who somehow was able to escape it. Even Amy suffered, and being a week before the wedding, she was NOT happy about it. It was all gross yet very funny, especially since I had to deal with that ickiness a few times growing up! Luckily it turned out to be bacterial, which meant they could all get on antibiotics and get it taken care of in a few days. Knowing germaphobe Sheldon wouldn’t return home if he knew, she hid it from him when they talked via webcam and convinced him to stay in Texas for a few days longer. LOL

I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it really was worth the long wait, in my opinion. There are great guest stars, lots of laughs, and some really, really sweet moments – one in particular between Sheldon and Amy, not counting their vows, which were amazing. I loved it!

On tonight’s season finale, “The Bow Tie Asymmetry,” when Amy’s parents and Sheldon’s family arrive for the wedding, everybody is focused on making sure all goes according to plan – everyone except the bride and groom. (I won’t list the new guest stars, in case you haven’t seen it yet, so you won’t be spoiled. But returning guests include Stuart, Kripke, Wil Wheaton, Bert, Denise, and Sheldon’s mother, sister, and brother, Mary, Missy, and George.)

Don’t miss the biggest event of the season tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chicago Fire, Beat Bobby Flay, Impractical Jokers, & S.W.A.T.

As I watched last week’s Chicago PD, in that final minute, I texted my husband: Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!. He immediately responded, sounding worried. I’d scared him. But I was shocked. Olinsky had been stabbed repeatedly, and as he slid to the floor, it didn’t look good. That was, of course, after Voight’s plan with the judge goes awry thanks to Denny Woods, which meant Al didn’t get out on bail. I swear, Woods is one step ahead of them every time! And after Al was denied bail, Voight decided it was time to come clean with Woods. Good for him. He went to Woods’s place and said it was time to make things right, basically telling Woods that he would confess if he got assurances that Olinsky was released from prison and not charged for anything. There was a story about guns and Halstead and Atwater going undercover, and it was a good one, but for the most part, the episode was about Voight and Olinksy and that ongoing story.

So did Al survive? Will Voight learn about the attack before he confesses it all to Woods? Will the Woods/Voight conflict finally come to a head? You’ll find out all that and more with tonight’s season finale.

On tonight’s episode, “Homecoming,” tensions run high as Intelligence seeks justice for Olinsky after he’s stabbed in prison. Antonio’s loyalty is put to the test and Woods looks to take down Voight once and for all.

Find out what happened with Al, Woods, and Voight tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Goldbergs, Iron Chef Gauntlet, Modern Family, Property Brothers, SEAL Team, American Housewife, & My Partner Knows Best.

The Sara Carter story line on NCIS was a good one last week. It showed a sweet side of Reeves, when we learned about him and his mom being homeless for a bit when he was young and how he now helps out at a home for homeless vets and their kids. It all ended up being about a mother trying to protect her daughter from pain, since Sara’s mother was trying to find out where her daughter’s migraine pain meds disappeared to and in the process realized there was a big prescription drug theft ring going on and that’s why she was killed. But it was good for Sara to finally get some peace about her mother’s murder.

Last week was also Pauley Perrette’s next-to-last episode. I thought we’d get more of an Abby-centric story, so I was disappointed with the little Abby we got. Sure, it was fun seeing the others buttering her up to try to snag the second spot for dinner at a new ice restaurant that she won reservations for. But until the very end of the episode, it was just another normal ep for Abby. Of course, the end… After she picked Reeves to go with her to dinner, they were walking away when a guy with a gun demanded they give him their wallet & purse. Reeves immediately complied, but Abby, with her big heart, tried to tell the guy that she could and wanted to help him. Reeves gave him Abby’s purse, but the guy still got off a shot when the screen went black.

So did Abby get shot? Reeves? Did it miss them both? Surely they wouldn’t actually kill Abby off, would they? And will we finally get an Abby & Gibbs scene this season?! I guess we’ll find out tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “Two Steps Back,” when evidence reveals an NCIS team member is a hitman’s latest target, the team must search through old case files to determine who is seeking vengeance.

See if Abby’s actually the hitman’s target tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Roseanne, Chicago Med, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

Last week, I finally got around to checking out the new BBC America series Killing Eve, and I was instantly hooked. Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy) works as a security services operative for MI-5, helping to profile serial killers. She generally lives a boring but happy life with her husband but has always been intrigued by the more exciting life of a spy. Eve discovers that there is a mysterious new killer at large, Villanelle (Jodie Comer, Doctor Foster, The White Princess). She is deeply drawn into the case and soon finds herself participating in a deadly game of cat and mouse. However, Villanelle seems to always be one step ahead and has also developed a bit of an obsession with Eve.

This series will make you laugh out loud one moment and have you sitting on the edge of your seat in suspense the next. It has a lot of humor, but it is also a genuine thriller/spy show with surprising twists, murders, and a mysterious mole inside the bureau. Villanelle is such a fun and entertaining character, and the relationship between her and her handler is hilarious. However, she is also very deadly and in the first few episodes proves that she is a ruthless killer who shows no emotion while brutally murdering her victims. Eve is similarly complex. While she jokes a lot in the early episodes, things take a dark turn, and things become a lot more serious and dramatic.

I can’t recommend this show highly enough. It’s definitely one worth catching up on if you haven’t yet checked it out (all of the previously-aired episodes should be bingeable via On Demand). This show just keeps getting better and better each week, and tonight’s episode is no different – there are some unexpected turns that will have you holding your breath!

On tonight’s episode, “I Have a Thing About Bathrooms,” having survived a terrifying close call with Villanelle, Eve now has the mole ensconced in a safe house and is buzzing; they have an exciting opportunity to glean information and crack this thing open.

To see what opportunity they get, tune in to BBC America at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Deception, Timeless, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, The Last Man on Earth, Fear the Walking Dead, Worst Cooks in America, Trust, Westworld, Silicon Valley, Barry, Sweetbitter, and Vida.
