Last week’s Chicago Fire was so sad! After beating cancer because of Severide’s bone marrow donation, Anna moved to Chicago to be closer to him. Their relationship was going well until a few episodes ago, when bam! We were hit with the news that her cancer was back and in her bones. Although she tried to push him away, Severide wouldn’t give up. Unfortunately, last week, after they said “I love you†for the first time to one another, Anna opted to go for a DNR order, and when she passed away, there was nothing Severide could do but grieve. It was heartbreaking to watch. Also heartbreaking was the widow (Severide helped save from a burning house) who wouldn’t leave her house because of the memories there. In the end, he went back and helped her save some of the memories so she could take them with her but stay safe. It was very touching but so sad when he told her his girlfriend had passed away.
On a good note, Casey and Boden worked it out so Kannell didn’t have to take the fall for his lieutenant’s error but his lieutenant’s memory wasn’t tarnished either. Then Casey set about convincing him to come back to work, even offering a spot at 51 when Kannell said he couldn’t go back to his house with the rest of his team gone. And finally, Brett had an interesting week… First, she and Dawson helped save a girl who fell while going up a climbing wall after she and her boyfriend broke into a gym-type place. They figured out she had an internal decapitation and got her safely secured on a weird backboard-type thing. Aside from that, when Brett learned Otis and Cruz were looking for a roommate, she convinced them to give her a shot. It was a rocky start, but they eventually seemed to make it work. Fun! LOL
On tonight’s episode, “Sixty Days,†Cruz finds himself in a bad spot when an off-duty incident begins to unravel, prompting Mouch to step in and offer help in hopes of avoiding serious consequences from the CFD. Casey goes head to head with a big politician to get his measure for first responders passed. Lt. Severide makes life difficult for newest team member Jason Kannell (guest star Kamal Angelo Bolden), and Dawson (Monica Raymund) gets an unexpected visit from her father (guest star Daniel Zacapa).
Find out what happens with Cruz tonight on NBC at 10/9c.
