thewalkingdead322smallWhat a great episode of The Walking Dead last week! The power grid at Alexandria was having issues, so a team went on a mission to look for replacement parts. While in the warehouse, the group was overrun by walkers—Aiden was impaled and eventually eaten alive; Tara was badly wounded but carried to safety by Eugene (who finally grew a pair); and Noah, Glenn, and Nicholas got stuck in a revolving door—which didn’t end well for Noah, who was gruesomely ripped apart by walkers as Glenn looked on. Before Aiden died, he revealed that the Alexandrians had an “every wounded man left behind” policy.

This policy was also evident at the work site as walkers attacked and a woman fell and hurt her leg. While the rest of the Alexandrians took off, leaving the woman to die, Abraham put his own life on the line to save her. Back in town, Carol realized that Pete was being abusive to Jessie (and possibly her cookie buddy Sam as well) and told Rick that Pete needed to die. And finally, Father Gabriel went to Deanna’s house to tell her Rick’s group can’t be trusted—but Maggie overheard the whole conversation.

Does Deanna believe Gabriel’s story, or will she chalk it up to crazy ramblings? Once Maggie relays this to the others, what will Rick do? I really hope Father Gabriel meets the walkers soon—his own self-loathing and guilt is now affecting Rick and the gang! Also, how is Rick going to handle this Pete thing? Deanna is already a bit wary of giving so much leadership control over to Rick’s group, and if he does something without consulting her, it’s only going to make things worse. Plus, with her son killed in the warehouse run, is she now going to suspect something nefarious happened instead of the truth, that it was just an accident?

On tonight’s episode, “Try,” Rick and the group face setbacks as existence within the walls starts to mimic life outside.

To see what Rick and the group face tonight, tune in to AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Battle Creek, Once Upon a Time, Bob’s Burgers, The Last Man on Earth, The Royals, Looking, and Shameless.

brooklyn9938smallLast week, it was finally time for the Boyle-Linetti wedding on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and while I wish it had been Charles & Gina getting married (they’re too funny together!), we got to watch the craziness that led up to his father and her mother finally exchanging vows. They had to contend with Jake & Amy catching a bad guy and getting dirty and losing the ring in the process, only to find it yet then get it stuck on Jake’s finger. Also, Charles’s dad freaked out and decided he had crap decision-making skills so he almost didn’t go through with the wedding. In the end, though, it was a fun, sweet moment with a fairly awkward kiss, and it was well worth the wait and the build up to the wedding day we’ve waited for all season.

On tonight’s episode, “Captain Peralta,” Jake’s mainly absentee father, Roger (guest star Bradley Whitford, The West Wing, Trophy Wife), comes to town to spend some time with his son. Jake can’t wait to see him, but Charles is skeptical of Roger’s intentions. Meanwhile, Holt tasks Amy, Terry, Gina, and Rosa with an impossible brain teaser in exchange for Beyoncé tickets.

To see which of the four takes home the tickets—if any—tune in to FOX at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, All-Star Academy, The Last Man on Earth, Battle Creek, & Cutthroat Kitchen.

scorpion223smallI’m still really loving Scorpion—the characters and story lines are so much fun. Last time, Paige, Sylvester, Walter, & Cabe went undercover on a cruise ship—Paige & Sylvester as a couple and Walter & Cabe as their…well, baggage handler and trainer, basically—to find some rockets that were being transported and put some tracking on them. Unfortunately, things went sideways, and just when it looked dire, Sylvester stepped up and faced one of his major fears…and nearly paid for it with his life. In the end, of course, the good guys won. And it was Valentine’s Day, so Sylvester made a homemade valentine for Megan, while Walter hacked into one of the most popular, expensive restaurants to secure a reservation for him & Paige under the guise of a “work meeting.” Unfortunately, he met up with his ex on the cruise ship, and when she realized the feelings he had for Paige, she told him to make sure he was ready for a relationship before starting one with someone else, so he cancelled the dinner he had planned. It was pretty sad. On the other end of the spectrum, Happy and Toby have finally crossed some line in their relationship, and they held hands for a moment, when they took Ralph to give a special gift to the girl he has a crush on.

I’m glad they aren’t rushing the relationship between Paige & Walter, and that’s helped by the fact that Drew, Ralph’s father, is gone. Hopefully things will continue to progress and not stall!

On tonight’s episode, “Going South,” Team Scorpion heads to Mexico when a tech billionaire hires them to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Also, feelings are hurt after Walter gives an interview and fails to acknowledge the other members of the team. Camille Guaty guest stars.

Find out if the team can rescue the daughter tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing 2 Broke Girls, Kids Baking Championship, Mike & Molly, Ellen’s Design Challenge, NCIS: LA, & Castle.

bettercallsaul28smallTonight is the first half of the 2-night premiere of the new AMC series Better Call Saul. The show is a prequel to Breaking Bad, set 6 years prior, and follows the exploits of courtroom lawyer Jimmy McGill as he (d)evolves into the sleazy Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). Working alongside Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), another character Breaking Bad viewers will be familiar with. The series also stars Michael McKean (Family Tree), Rhea Seehorn (Franklin & Bash, Whitney), Patrick Fabian (Working Class), and Michael Mando (Orphan Black).

When I first heard about this series, and it was rumored to be a sitcom, I was really scared, However, once it was announced that it was going to be a drama, I have been really looking forward to revisiting the world of Saul Goodman. I’m also excited that Mike will be on the sho. He was one of my favorite Breaking Bad characters, and it will be fun to see how he and Saul butt heads — no-nonsense meets all-nonsense! The series has already been picked up for a second season, so tonight is just the first of many cases we’ll Saul Goodman take on.

On tonight’s 75-minute episode, “Uno,” Jimmy McGill is working his magic in the courtroom when unexpected inspiration leads him to an unconventional pursuit of potential clients.

See what inspires Jimmy tonight on AMC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, Worst Cooks in America, The Walking Dead, Taking Dead, Togetherness, Looking, Shameless, Episodes, and Mike Tyson Mysteries.
