I hate (or love… It’s kind of a love/hate relationship!) when shows make me feel bad for the killer. That’s what last week’s Bones did. A young man who tutored privileged high school kids was killed, and it seemed like Booth and Bones had more suspects than they could shake a stick at. From the head of the school to the overbearing parents to the dead guy’s roommate… But in the end, it was one of the students who killed him. The boy thought the tutor was his friend, that he liked him (in a friend way, not a romantic way). But the tutor decided to quit and told the kid that he was nothing more than a paycheck for him. The kid (who had one of those very overbearing parents who pushed and pushed him about getting perfect grades and getting into the perfect – to her – school) took it badly and snapped, killing him. My favorite part of the case was Aubrey getting…stuff dropped on him at the crime scene. It happens to them all at least once! On the personal front, Brennan freaked out when she heard the audiobook version of her latest book, and she decided she would record it herself. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned, so she decided that she’d done her part in writing it and she wouldn’t worry about the audio part. (Thankfully, since she was horrible at it. LOL)

I always love it when Bones goes to a fun scenario to investigate a murder. Usually they’re undercover in some way (which I LOVE seeing), but not always. We’ve seen them at a shooting competition, in Vegas, at a circus, dancing, at a couples’ retreat… So tonight, they once again go to a fun new place to investigate. I don’t know if they’re going to be undercover, but even if they aren’t, it should be a lot of fun!

On tonight’s episode, “The Flaw in the Saw,” the dismembered body of successful golfer-turned-lumberjack Phyllis Paul brings the squints to the Lumber Sports Regional Championships. At this competition, Booth and Brennan discover numerous secrets that could have resulted in Phyllis’s murder, including an affair with a married rival. Meanwhile, Hodgins secretly analyzes the bacteria on the bone of a prior victim that he believes will exonerate the murderer, Zack Addy (guest star Eric Millegan). David Koechner (The Goldbergs, The Office, Anchorman) also guest stars.

Find out who killed the golfing lumberjack tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

After a 15-month hiatus, Switched at Birth finally returns tonight to kick of the show’s fifth and final season on Freeform. When we last left off, Regina’s love Eric was wanted for a felony, so he fled with his son, leaving Regina once again lonely and alone. Bay was upset to learn that Travis secretly paid an art gallery to give her an art show but was left speechless when Travis kissed her and declared his feelings for her. Daphne and Mingo decided to take a break from one another for the summer as Daphne contemplated a summer internship assisting deaf children in China. John and Kathryn found a buyer for the car wash, but John was upset to learn that Kathryn had resorted to flirtation in order to knock down the price. And Lily went into labor, giving birth to Carlton Summers Kennish. The season finale then jumped ahead ten months to find Bay working as a tattoo artist in China when she receives an urgent call from Daphne, who is working in a nearby clinic, and Bay exclaims that they have to go home.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this final chapter plays out. What were Bay and Daphne doing in China, and what was said on that phone call that has them rushing back home? What is the status of John and Kathryn’s rocky marriage? Will Regina ever find love again? And what about Travis and Mingo? Have they moved on, or are they awaiting the girls’ return?

On tonight’s premiere, “The Call,” Daphne and Bay receive an emergency phone call while in China and return home, where Daphne readjusts to campus life and Bay feels conflicted about her feelings for Emmett. Meanwhile, Kathryn and John argue about her job; and Regina feels guilty about a secret romance.

Find out what sends Daphne and Bay home tonight on Freeform at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Wall, The Mick, Bones, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Face Off, and Teachers.

It’s here, it’s here! Tonight is the season premiere of Bones. It’s been SIX long months since the previous season finale. The FBI & Squints were once again on the trail of the Puppeteer, the serial killer who lived with his victims’ bodies before disposing of them. It seemed like Bones was a target, and sure enough, in the end, she was kidnapped by none other than…ZACK! So is Zack the killer? How did he get out of the institution he’s been in for years? Where does he have Bones, and why? We’ll get those answers tonight.

This is the final season of the show, so there’s bound to be a lot of surprises. Hopefully we’ll see some great guest stars and get some great wrap-ups for our favorite characters. I’ve seen the first few episodes, and I know it’s off to a great start!

On tonight’s episode, “The Hope in the Horror,” Booth and the lab team desperately search for Brennan after she’s kidnapped by her former assistant, Zack Addy.

See if they can find Bones tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, NCIS, American Housewife, Bull, Chicago Fire, MasterChef Canada, Chicago PD, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 5/26/16

Sorry this is up late. I’m battling some vicious flu or something. Someone just chop my head off and I’ll be good! LOL

Just to let you all know… This is the last regular Remote post until the new fall season starts in…August? September? Whenever. 😉 We might post a few odds and ends when something really good is going to air, but as a regular post, we won’t be back until fall. But keep coming to the site daily! I’ll still be posting the weekly and daily TV schedules, and we have at least one interview coming up soon. Plus, I have three great, fun giveaways I’ll be posting in the next month or two, so don’t miss them!

bones526smallTonight is a new – and pivotal – episode of Bones. Last week was a fun one, with guest stars from the vocal group Pentatonix playing part of an acapella college group called the Whippersnaps. When one of the Whippersnaps was killed (and his body found eaten by rats in a science lab. Gross!), it was up to Booth, Brennan, and the rest of the team to find out who did it and why. They focused most of their investigation on the other members of the acapella group and the rival group of female singers, the Gingersnaps, but in the end, it was the dead guy’s roommate who’d killed him, albeit accidentally. He’d found out the singer was stealing his meds and shoved him. The guy fell back, and in trying to balance himself, the bookshelf fell on top of him, hitting him just right and killing him. He put his body in the lab with the rats that had been starved and then released them, hoping they’d eat all the evidence.

Aside from the case, there were several other fun stories. Booth was excited to be setting up their upcoming hike on the Appalachian Trail with his son, only Parker confessed to Bones that he’d gotten into the summer creative writing program at Oxford, and he asked her to tell his dad. Booth was understandably upset but realized Parker needed to do what would make him happiest. Also, it turns out Aubrey was in an acapella group when he was younger! Booth found a tape of their performance and played it for Hodgins, Angela, Brennan, and Aubrey. Hysterical! And finally…Hodgins… He’s still not back to his old self, although things are better between him and Angela. But last week, he signed up for an experimental surgery in the hopes that he would walk again. Angela put a stop to that, though, pointing out that a patient had died on that surgeon’s table, and Hodgins needed to value his life as much as he valued the surviving rat, who he’d named Copernicus. He agreed not to do the surgery.

I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it’s a good one. Some good twists and turns, and some excellent and funny personal story lines. In my opinion, it’s a can’t-miss episode.

On tonight’s episode, “The Secret in the Service,” an intoxicated college student discovers the dead body of a Secret Service agent just before a scheduled presidential visit to the area. Former intern Dr. Colin Fisher leads the investigation while Brennan battles a case of the flu. Meanwhile, Hodgins takes his life into his own hands and turns a corner after a dangerous experiment.

To see what Hodgins does and who killed the Secret Service agent, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Beat Bobby Flay.

Sarah Manning (TATIANA MASLANY)Tonight, Orphan Black returns for a fourth season on BBC America, on a brand new night. Last season we were introduced to the male Castor clones, who were bred more as soldiers. As the third season came to a close, Dr. Coady had sent Rudy to find Alison, but he ran into Helena and the two had a prison yard-style brawl that ended with Rudy’s death. Mark tried to impersonate Rudy, but Sarah found him and got him to reveal Dr. Coady’s plan. Meanwhile, Krystal was impersonating Rachel, and this led Delphine to uncover the Neolutionist conspiracy – which in turn led to her bleeding out in a parking garage at the end of the season. The real Rachel once again had two eyes and now a sort-of-adopted child in the young Leda clone, Charlotte. Elsewhere, Sarah was reunited with daughter Kira; a pregnant Helena had been helping out with the Hendrixes’ not-so-legal soap business, and as a thanks, Donnie and Alison reunited her with boyfriend Jesse; Cosmina contemplated telling Shay everything; and Alison won the election.

There are so many different clones and conspiracies to keep track of with this show, but it always finds a nice blend of comedy, drama, suspense, and unexpected twists. Tatiana Maslany is so brilliant that I always forget that so many of these characters are played by the same actress – they all have such unique personalities, and the scenes in which they interact look so convincing and real.

On tonight’s premiere “The Collapse of Nature,” a Neolution attack destroys Sarah’s refuge in Iceland and forces her to flee once again.

See where Sarah runs to tonight on BBC America at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Odd Couple, Rush Hour, Grey’s Anatomy, The Catch, The Blacklist, Game of Silence, Bones, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The 100, Archer, and 60 Days In.
