thegoodwife510smallTonight is the season (and possibly series) finale of The Good Wife. Last week, Alicia was revisited by one of her first clients. A man she and Carey proved to be not guilty of attempted murder 6 years earlier was now being retried for first degree murder now that the victim had died. As Alicia sifted through old evidence and case recordings, we got a lot of new and old flashbacks of Kalinda, Alicia, and Cary working on the original case.

Meanwhile, Alicia debated what to do with her life next, ultimately deciding that she would start her own firm and only work on important cases that mattered to her. She got Grace’s help to turn Zack’s bedroom into an office. (Isn’t he going to need that when he comes back home?!) And then in a you-can-cut-the-sexual-tension-with-a-knife scene, she asked Finn Polmar to join her in her new venture. (Are they both going to work in that bedroom office?!)

Will Finn and Alicia finally explore their feelings for one another? Will Finn join Alicia’s new firm, and will they get anyone else to join them? I really hope we see more of the delightful Alicia fangirl, newbie attorney Amber! I’m interested to see how Alicia will cross paths with her former partners as the show moves forward. Will we get closure in case the show doesn’t return, or will things be left unresolved?

On tonight’s episode, “Wanna Partner?,” Alicia gets a suspicious call from a client and discovers that he’s being held in a secret police facility, where people are detained without officially being booked.

Find out if we get answers to some of my questions tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Once Upon a Time, American Odyssey, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Bob’s Burgers, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Veep, Nurse Jackie, and Penny Dreadful.

I’m glad to be home!)

brooklyn9953smallLast week’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a lot of fun. Jake injured himself by falling as he ran across the top of cars (How in the world he injured himself as much as he did, I have no idea… LOL), and Terry tried to force him to take some time off since the doctor didn’t actually clear him, but Jake was determined to catch the bad guy, even to the detriment of his health. In the end, they did catch him and Jake was able to recover. Meanwhile, Holt and Rosa were forced to spend an evening with their significant others — although Rosa cut it short when she admitted to Holt that she was late and thought she might be pregnant. Talk about sharing personal information! Unfortunately, that shortened dinner meant Amy and Gina missed it completely after showing up late (as Amy tried to prove how “chill” she was).

I love this show. The chemistry between the characters is as great now as it’s been since the beginning, and I love them all. I’m hoping we’ll get some movement on the relationship between Jake & Amy as the season comes to a close in the next few weeks, but I guess we’ll see…

On tonight’s episode, “Det. Dave Majors,” Jake is excited to work a case with the best detective in the NYPD, Detective Majors (guest star Garret Dillahunt, Raising Hope), until Majors shares his intentions to ask Amy out on a date. Meanwhile, Charles and Gina try to convince Terry to stay at the Nine-Nine when he considers accepting an offer to work at a private security firm.

See how Jake reacts to Det. Majors’ interest in Amy tonight on FOX at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, Spring Baking Championship, Battle Creek, & Cutthroat Kitchen.

brooklyn9938smallLast week, it was finally time for the Boyle-Linetti wedding on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and while I wish it had been Charles & Gina getting married (they’re too funny together!), we got to watch the craziness that led up to his father and her mother finally exchanging vows. They had to contend with Jake & Amy catching a bad guy and getting dirty and losing the ring in the process, only to find it yet then get it stuck on Jake’s finger. Also, Charles’s dad freaked out and decided he had crap decision-making skills so he almost didn’t go through with the wedding. In the end, though, it was a fun, sweet moment with a fairly awkward kiss, and it was well worth the wait and the build up to the wedding day we’ve waited for all season.

On tonight’s episode, “Captain Peralta,” Jake’s mainly absentee father, Roger (guest star Bradley Whitford, The West Wing, Trophy Wife), comes to town to spend some time with his son. Jake can’t wait to see him, but Charles is skeptical of Roger’s intentions. Meanwhile, Holt tasks Amy, Terry, Gina, and Rosa with an impossible brain teaser in exchange for Beyoncé tickets.

To see which of the four takes home the tickets—if any—tune in to FOX at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, All-Star Academy, The Last Man on Earth, Battle Creek, & Cutthroat Kitchen.

bettercallsaul28smallTonight is the first half of the 2-night premiere of the new AMC series Better Call Saul. The show is a prequel to Breaking Bad, set 6 years prior, and follows the exploits of courtroom lawyer Jimmy McGill as he (d)evolves into the sleazy Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). Working alongside Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), another character Breaking Bad viewers will be familiar with. The series also stars Michael McKean (Family Tree), Rhea Seehorn (Franklin & Bash, Whitney), Patrick Fabian (Working Class), and Michael Mando (Orphan Black).

When I first heard about this series, and it was rumored to be a sitcom, I was really scared, However, once it was announced that it was going to be a drama, I have been really looking forward to revisiting the world of Saul Goodman. I’m also excited that Mike will be on the sho. He was one of my favorite Breaking Bad characters, and it will be fun to see how he and Saul butt heads — no-nonsense meets all-nonsense! The series has already been picked up for a second season, so tonight is just the first of many cases we’ll Saul Goodman take on.

On tonight’s 75-minute episode, “Uno,” Jimmy McGill is working his magic in the courtroom when unexpected inspiration leads him to an unconventional pursuit of potential clients.

See what inspires Jimmy tonight on AMC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, Worst Cooks in America, The Walking Dead, Taking Dead, Togetherness, Looking, Shameless, Episodes, and Mike Tyson Mysteries.

worstcookssmallI love a good cooking competition series, and Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America is one of the best. It’s unbelievable how BAD some (most) of these cooks are each season. Anne Burrell is back, and this season, Tyler Florence (host of The Great Food Truck Race) is joining her in the mentor seat. I can’t wait to see how his teaching style differs from Anne’s. And based on the promos I’ve seen on TV recently, this season’s sure to be a lot of fun.

On tonight’s episode, “It Just Keeps Getting Worse,” Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence choose 14 contestants from an open call to bring back to Boot Camp, where the recruits prepare their signature dishes for the chefs; Anne and Tyler choose their recruits and teach them to create a romantic meal.

Check out the new recruits tonight on Food Network at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Galavant, The Great British Baking Show, Guy’s Grocery Games, The Librarians, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, CSI, & Cutthroat Kitchen.
