Tonight is the series premiere of The Code on CBS. Half drama, half procedural, this new legal thriller is about the active-duty Marines who are also attorneys working out of the Judge Advocate General Headquarters in Quantico. They are trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, and an investigator and choose to serve their country in pursuit of military justice at home and overseas. Luke Mitchell (Blindspot, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Tomorrow People) stars as Captain John “Abe” Abraham, a driven prosecutor who comes from a family of Marines. Anna Wood (Falling Water, Deception, Reckless) plays his colleague and friend, Captain Maya Dobbins, the lead defense attorney not afraid to go up against one of her own but also a team player if the situation calls for it. Ato Essandoh (Chicago Med, Altered Carbon, Blue Bloods, Copper) plays Major Trey Ferry, Abe’s superior officer and friend. One of my favorite actresses, Dana Delaney (Hand of God, Body of Proof, Desperate Housewives) stars as commanding officer Colonel Glenn Turnbull, one of the highest-ranking female officers in the Judge Advocate Corps. She’s tough but fair and demands an excellence in herself and her staff. And finally, assisting the team is Lt. Harper Li (played by Phillipa Soo, Smash), a highly capable lawyer who is eager to take on bigger cases, and tech-savvy, efficient Warrant Officer Rami Ahmadi (played by Raffi Barsoumian, The Vampire Diaries), the Marine equivalent of a paralegal.

I’ve seen the first episode quite enjoyed it. It’s a bit too much drama for me, but I love the cast so much (Besides the ever delightful Delany, I loved Mitchell on Blindspot, Wood on Reckless, & Essandoh on Chicago Med & Blue Bloods) and the military and procedural aspects of it that I’m in for at least a few more episodes.

On tonight’s episode, “Blowed Up,” when a soldier in Afghanistan murders his commanding officer, Capt. John “Abe” Abraham and Capt. Maya Dobbins, working out of the Judge Advocate General Headquarters in Quantico, Va., are assigned to the case as prosecution and defense lawyers.

Meet TV’s newest attorneys tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

It has been a couple weeks since we’ve had a new episode of MacGyver, and I’m starting to go through withdrawal. Thankfully we will all get our fix tonight. This show not only has action and humor, but the cast has incredible chemistry. Jack leaving was hard, but in the end the team is adjusting quite well and I really like Desi. She has a unique chemistry with Mac that I hope will end up in a relationship for those two.

On tonight’s episode, “Murdoc + Helman + Hit,” when Nicholas Helman resurfaces to carry out a killing spree, the Phoenix is forced to get help from the one person who knows him best… His protégé, Murdoc.

To see if the team can get the help they need from Murdoc, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, and Proven Innocent.

Last week on SEAL Team, Bravo headed to the Afghan side of the Afghanistan/Iran border in order to take out the financier/mastermind behind several terrorist attacks, who was going to be in a little “town” just on the other side of the border. It was supposed to be a quick in/quick out visit for the team, with no one laying eyes on them, because they didn’t have permission to be in Iran and certainly didn’t get permission from the Iranians to kill a man in their country. It was quite a dangerous situation to be in, and unfortunately, two kids from Iran were flying a kite that went down right on top of Jason and Ray, and they were spotted. Ray took the shot just after the kids made it back to the town and notified the men there, and our guys came under fire. They were able to fight back until our waiting Marines from inside Afghanistan came to the rescue, laying down fire so our guys could load up on the waiting transport, and everyone got out safely. Unfortunately, we learned then that Ray just clipped the guy he had taken the shot at and the guy was still alive. That was a blow to both Ray, who is having a crisis of faith, and to Clay, who believed he should have been the one to take the shot.

Ray’s not doing so well lately. He’s taking something (Pain pills? Depression meds? I don’t know…), and he’s going to the bar instead of being home with Naima and the kids. I’m not really liking his character at the moment. So we’ll see where things go with him. And now Davis has told the others about OCS… She has their support, but I’m worried. Is she leaving the show?! I haven’t heard anything about that, but since she said that was her last mission with the team… It’ll be interesting to see how that story line goes! And Jason met up with Adam’s wife/widow, Victoria, at the store, and she basically asked him out to dinner. Unfortunately, at dinner, he admitted that he can’t see her right now as anything but Adam’s wife, letting her know things wouldn’t be going further for them (for now…). He then went to the bar and found a woman who’d come on to him previously, and they went back to the back and had sex. He needs to get back out there, but I don’t like that that’s how he did it. LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Dirt, Dirt, Gucci,” as Bravo Team prepares for what they expect to be a “cushy” deployment with the luxury of staying in a hotel in the Philippines, Jason tries to find a way to pay for Emma’s college.

See if the deployment’s as “cushy” as the team thinks it will be tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chicago Med, The Goldbergs, Battle of the Ages, Schooled, Chicago Fire, Dinner Takes All, Gone, Guy’s Grocery Games, Modern Family, Single Parents, Chicago PD, & Whiskey Cavalier.

Tonight, USA Network kicks off the new reality series Growing Up Chrisley. This spin-off finds two of the Chrisley children heading from Nashville to L.A. to try to launch their own careers. Todd had been trying to get Chase and Savannah to follow in his footsteps in the real estate business, but neither of them is interested. Chase wants to pursue a career in acting, while Savannah wants to launch her own cosmetic and fragrance line.

The new series feels very much like the original – tonight’s premiere is pretty much a normal episode of Chrisley Knows Best, with the kids trying to convince their father to let them go on their adventure. He ultimately agrees to a 90-day trial period, with the stipulation that their grandmother join them on their road trip. And so the second episode is more of the same, with Chase and Savannah on a road trip with Nanny Faye. It’s not until the third episode that the new series really kicks off, and Chase and Savannah move to Los Angeles and start on their quest to launch their careers.

The new series is worth a look for fans of the original show, but it may take a few weeks until you see what the new series is really going to be like.

On tonight’s premiere, “Chase & Savannah Fly the Nest,” Chase and Savannah Chrisley embark on a cross-country move to prove they’re independent grown-ups.

See how Chase and Savannah convince their dad of their plans tonight on USA Network at 10:30/9:30c.

I’ll also be watching/recording black-ish, The Rookie, This Is Us, and The Village.

You know, it doesn’t even matter what happened on the previous episode of NCIS: LA, although there were some great moments, such as Deeks and Roberta at the bar with the health inspector…and Deeks dancing with his mom, convincing her that he didn’t care how good or bad she was, that he wanted to dance with her at his wedding regardless. Another interesting thing was having Nicole DeChamps back…and seeing how things seem to be going between her and Sam. I like that he’s beginning to show some interest. He loved his wife and has grieved for her, but if he’s ready to move on, I’m not going to be unhappy.

But we all know that if you’re a fan of the show – or probably even if you aren’t now but were – then you’re going to be glued to your TV tonight because finally, FINALLY, Kensi and Deeks are getting married! Yes, I’m fangirl squee-ing right along with you guys. It promises to be such a huge episode, with not only the wedding itself but also a couple of unexpected guests (we know one, although I won’t spoil here in case you don’t know and don’t want to know, and there’s strong evidence to support the assumption of the second) AND finally the return of and the long-awaited opening of “the box.” I can only hope it doesn’t turn out to be a letdown – either the wedding or the contents of the box! I don’t have ANY thoughts on what could be in there, but I really hope it’s worth the seasons-long buildup! Besides all that, we finally get to meet all of Kensi’s friends: Cat, Mindy, Mandy, Tiffany, and Tiffany! LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Til Death Do Us Part,” after months of planning, the NCIS family celebrates the wedding of Kensi and Deeks. Also, an old acquaintance pays Deeks a surprise visit on his wedding day, and he isn’t alone.

Celebrate with me tonight as we watch Kensi and Deeks say their vows tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Family Food Showdown, Buddy vs. Duff, & Private Eyes.
