Tonight, TV Land’s comedy Teachers returns for its second season. The series follows the misadventures of a group of inappropriate, underqualified elementary school teachers who always seem to let their personal lives and issues take over their classroom lessons and break room discussions. The series stars the women of the improv comedy group The Katydids (the name reflects the fact that all six of the members’ names are derivatives of Katherine). I really enjoyed the first season of the show – the cast has great chemistry, there was a lot of fun physical humor and witty dialogue, and quite a few laugh-out-loud moments. I can’t wait to see what craziness these women get up to this season.

On tonight’s premiere, “First Day Back,” Ms. Watson tries a premium online dating service; Ms. Snap learns she’s teaching the worst group of kids in the school; and Mrs. Adler is assigned a mobile classroom.

Check out the start of the new season tonight on TV Land at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, The Real O’Neals, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Wall, This Is Us, New Girl, The Mick, Bones, No Tomorrow, Sweet/Vicious, and Shooter.

Things are FINALLY coming to a head in the mole investigation on NCIS: LA. But first… On last week’s “Kulinda,” Sam was sent undercover at a private security firm after it was suspected that they had links to a gang and, even worse, a terrorist group. Thankfully, the guys all turned out to be good guys, and it was one of the younger kids in the neighborhood – who did have ties to the gang but had gotten out – and he was forced into doing what the bad guys wanted. And Sam was able to talk to head (boss) of the security firm out of killing the really bad guy when he tracked him down. AND we learned that Callen and Anna were taking their relationship very slow because she’d asked for some time to get accustomed to her job and being here full-time in the US. But she apparently decided she’d had enough of slow, because she brought him over a carb-filled breakfast and they definitely started moving in the right direction! And poor Kensi is so ready to get back to work, but Nate, who was back at the end of last week’s episode, said he would be the one to sign off on her getting back to work, and in his opinion, she wasn’t ready. Gah. Really frustrating! I mean, yeah, I think she’s covering up how she’s really feeling (not physically, but emotionally and mentally), and she needs to work through that, but…damn. At least let her back in the office to help from Ops or something!

Now we come to this week… The mole investigation has been going on way too long in my opinion, but tonight starts a three-episode arc to end that story line finally. It will get worse before it gets better, according to actors and the powers-that-be from the show, and when we do finally learn who the mole is (or who the MOLES ARE?), we’ll be shocked and won’t have seen it coming. I’m scared, people. Really scared! Eek!

On tonight’s episode, “Hot Water,” the mole has once again compromised the NCIS team as planted evidence results in the arrests of Callen, Sam, Granger, and Deeks, on the day Under Secretary Duggan (Jackson Hurst) returns for Hetty’s resignation.

Find out what gets members of the team arrested tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, The Librarians, To Tell the Truth, & Worst Cooks in America.

When we left our team on NCIS: LA, they were celebrating Christmas. Kensi was well on her way to being back on the job, and she visited work to say hello and give them some Christmas cookies she’d made. Of course, Anna was there, and Kensi was a little jealous of her interaction with the team, and she and Anna got into a fight. Thankfully (or not? LOL), the fight was all in Kensi’s head. As for the case, a Navy Lieutenant Commander was kidnapped, but the team figured out that she was taken because the bad guys were really going after her journalist boyfriend, trying to get him to stop digging into the story he was working on. In the end, they rescued the woman, kept the journalist safe, and he got to continue with his story, which was going to take a lot of big names down. I also loved that Callen invited Anna to Christmas dinner with his dad. That’s a big change for the guy who has never had a real family before! And finally, I loved Eric and Nell (I always do!) as they prepared for a Dickens Fair – in costume, accents, and everything!

Time is ticking on the team finding the mole. I think they have to find him, right? I haven’t heard anything about Hetty/Linda Hunt leaving, so… But yeah, if they’re going to find him, they need to do it quick! And when will Kensi be back?? Argh. So frustrating. I miss the Densi scenes! I know Daniela Ruah needed time off after having her baby. But I hope that time off ends SOOON! LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Kulinda,” after a Navy reservist is killed while protecting a city councilman, Sam is sent undercover in a private security firm with links to several criminal organizations. Also, Callen and Anna discuss the next steps in their relationship. Peter Cambor guest stars as Nate Getz.

To see Sam go undercover, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, The Librarians, To Tell the Truth, & Worst Cooks in America.

Tonight, Emerald City – NBC’s long-awaited re-imagining of The Wizard Of Oz – finally premieres. The series was first announced in 2014 and even had a presence at San Diego Comic-Con but was canceled shortly afterwards due to creative differences. Later it was picked back up and continued to appear in NBC’s list of new shows at its annual upfronts presentation but never actually made it onto the schedule…until now.

Tonight, the 10-episode first season, directed by the visually-creative Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall, Immortals, Mirror Mirror, Self/less), finally kicks off with a double-episode premiere. This darker retelling of the classic tale finds 20-year-old doctor Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona, True Detective) swept into a tornado and transported in a mysterious new world. She wakes up in a wrecked police car along with K-9 officer Toto and soon learns she is in a land called Oz, governed by the all-powerful Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio, Daredevil, Law & Order: CI). Years earlier, the Wizard had stopped the Beast Forever from destroying the Emerald City and its people, and ever since he has outlawed magic. However, Dorothy’s falling from the sky is the first foretold sign of a disastrous prophesy predicting the return of the mythical Beast.

As Glinda (Joely Richardson, Nip/Tuck), West (Ana Ularu), and the other witches start pressuring the Wizard to take action to prevent the looming disaster, an unknowing Dorothy makes her toward the city in hopes of finding her way home. As she sets off, Dorothy crosses paths with Lucas (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Dracula), a former member of the Wizard’s guard, who has amnesia after being tied to a cross in the middle of a field. The cast also includes Mido Hamada (24), Gerran Howell (Young Dracula), and Jordan Loughran (Evermoor).

While I wasn’t blown away by tonight’s premiere (no pun intended), I did like the cast and the look of the series. I’m interested to see how the other key characters of the original story are going to be worked into this tale. And there were also some interesting characters and developments set up by the end of the second episode that made me a little more keen to check out some more.

On part one of tonight’s premiere, “The Beast Forever,” a tornado occurs while Dorothy searches for her mother, and the storm transports Dorothy to a mystical land where a powerful ruler has outlawed magic. Then, in “Prison of the Abject,” Dorothy finds a soldier with amnesia and a man trying to help his best friend. Meanwhile, Glinda and West say good-bye to their fallen sister.

Check out the premiere tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording One Day at a Time, Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Ginormous Food.

I’m so excited for tonight’s return of The Good Place on NBC. This was my favorite new show of the fall, and tonight it returns to kick off its final 3 weeks of the season. When we last left off, the folks from the Bad Place had arrived to collect fake Eleanor, but she pleaded with Michael to let her stay and continue to prove she could change and justify her place there. So he decided to bring the matter before the great and powerful Shawn. Meanwhile, Chidi and the real Eleanor really hit it off – it was easy to see why they were originally paired together as soulmates. And in the episode’s cliffhanger, Tahani discovered the truth about Jianyu and his “meditation den.”

Will fake Eleanor be kicked out of her home now that real Eleanor has arrived? Which Eleanor will Chidi choose? (Not to wish ill will on real Eleanor, but I really liked the growing relationship between Chidi and fake Eleanor, so I hope she’s out of the picture soon.) What will Tahani do with the news about Jianyu, and will we learn about how he ended up in the Good Place? And who is this Shawn who will decide fake Eleanor’s fate?

On tonight’s episode, “Chidi’s Choice,” Eleanor makes a surprising personal discovery. Meanwhile, Michael tasks an indecisive Chidi with coming to an important decision, and Jianyu makes a big announcement.

See the return of the double Eleanors tonight on NBC at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Great American Baking Show, The Big Bang Theory, The Great Indoors, Life in Pieces, Superstore, The Blacklist, and Top Chef.
