Last week on Hawaii Five-0, a teenager was undergoing hypnosis therapy after being diagnosed with PTSD, only for him to tell his therapist he’d witnessed a murder. At first he was worried that he’d been the one to commit it, but after investigating and getting him under hypnosis a couple more times, come to find out it was his mother who did the killing. One night, after she’d been drinking and fighting with his father, she took the boy and planned to go stay at a hotel. Unfortunately, she ran into the victim, a teenage girl, and scared about the consequences, she killed her by bashing her head in with a rock and then buried her. Her son got out of the car to find her in time to witness it. Man, that had to have been a shock to learn his mother had done that and he’d witnessed it! The kid’s father didn’t know either, poor guy. But at least that meant the kid still had his dad. Elsewhere, Danny’s sister was in Hawaii on a work conference, and Danny realized she was close – too close – to a guy she worked with. He convinced her that cheating wasn’t going to be good for her and that he was always there for her, no matter how far apart they lived. It was sweet, and I loved seeing Missy Peregrym, even though I don’t like her hair as much that short!)

Tonight’s episode should be outstanding. My heart broke for Chin when his niece, Sara, had to go live with her grandparents in Mexico after he’d really begun feeling like a father to her. He was worried that they were involved in the same dealings their son Gabriel had been, but nothing turned up with his investigation, so he had no choice but to let her go. Fortunately, that story line is being revisited tonight, and I’m hoping he (& we) get a much more positive outcome this go round!

On tonight’s episode, “Ka’ili aku (Snatchback),” Five-0 races to Mexico where Chin puts his life on the line after his niece Sara is kidnapped. Duane “Dog” Chapman returns as himself and George Takei returns as Chin’s Uncle Choi.

See if Chin and the rest of Five-0 can rescue Sara and bring her back to Hawaii where she belongs tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, Last Man Standing, & MacGyver.

On the last new episode of The Big Bang Theory, we watched our favorite couple get divorced. Or rather, that’s what it seemed like, when Sheldon, Amy, Leonard, and Penny decided to make the move permanent by splitting up all the things from Sheldon & Leonard’s apartment. Sheldon being Sheldon, of course, assumed he’d get everything he wanted, as if he knew what mattered to Leonard and what didn’t. It became so personal that Leonard ended up claiming the apartment’s flag and ended up wearing it completely naked to do his laundry, nearly giving Sheldon a heart attack. Of course, Sheldon ended up renting his room in the apartment to some stranger (Christopher Lloyd!), much to Leonard and Penny’s dismay. My favorite part had to be Leonard shipping off his underpants from underneath the flag.

And of course, we’re down to the wire on Bernadette’s pregnancy. Stuart and Raj were at each other’s throats trying to be the most helpful to her and Howard in the final few weeks. And at the end of the episode, Bernie went into labor. Yay! Oh, and in case you didn’t see… TV Line posted a thing from the powers that be for the show, who explained about Bernadette’s pregnancy. She’s actually been pregnant for like 11 months in the show’s timeline, so they had to speed it up or fans would begin to notice. LOL

I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it’s really fun. It takes place on Amy’s birthday (which means the annual birthday sexy times for her and Sheldon! LOL) – and, in case the episode title doesn’t give it away – the baby’s birthday as well. And for those who are hoping not to “be” inside the delivery room during the birth, rest easy. We get the befores and afters, not durings. There’s a great, great moment about Howard’s mom, too, which was very poignant, since the actress passed away just over two years ago. All in all, this is one of my favorite episodes this season.

On tonight’s episode, “The Birthday Synchronicity,” Howard and Bernadette welcome their new baby, and Sheldon and Amy celebrate Amy’s birthday. (I couldn’t resist throwing up a second picture for it. Please do click on it to see the full version. It’s totally worth it. LMAO)

To see how the joint birthday goes, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Great Indoors, Chopped, The Great American Baking Show, Beat Bobby Flay, & Top Chef.

I’m going to continue the holiday-themed-episode trend today with the Christmas/Hanukkah episode of The Goldbergs. The thing I love most about this show is the feeling of nostalgia I get whenever I watch it. Whether it be the most popular boy band of the decade, a hit TV show, or…like last week…a popular sports team/entertainment like the Harlem Globetrotters. I never got to go to a game myself, but we watched them on TV a couple of times, and they’re just plain fun to watch, as Murray found out when he and Adam went to see them play. Speaking of Murray… He turned 50, and Beverly threw him a not-so-surprise party, but he ended up missing it because he fell asleep and no one noticed after Erica threw all the coats from the guests on top of him on the bed. I swear, that’s going to be my husband if I do that in a few years! LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Han Ukkah Solo,” after finding out there is only going to be one Hanukkah song in the Holiday Pageant, Beverly convinces Erica to create the perfect song to bring some excitement to the holiday. Erica sees her shot to break into the music business while Barry does his best to prove he too can be a hit maker with music. Meanwhile, Adam’s childlike wonder with movies and entertainment is called into question when things he loved as a child aren’t as good as he remembers. [Note from Jenny: Just wait till he’s in his 30s and starts looking back! LOL]

See if everything works out for Erica or Barry tonight on ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Kids Sweets Showdown, Speechless, Brothers Take New Orleans, Cooks vs Cons, Modern Family, & black-ish.

Last week’s NCIS dealt with a congresswoman who was receiving threats, including a dead rat left in her car with a note saying she was next. The woman didn’t seem to take them seriously at all, until her assistant was killed. She annoyed me the entire episode. I guess you have to admire her “can do” attitude, but it was “must get elected, no matter the consequences, and that irritated me. I did call who the killer was. Shame on the assistant’s girlfriend! And I was kind of shocked to see Vance and the congresswoman flirting and agreeing to go out on a date. (Again, she annoyed me there. She was way too…take-charge, too…I dunno…something, for me. LOL)

I love holiday episodes on my procedurals, and I have loved all the episodes of NCIS where we see a young Ducky. So combine those two things, and I know I’m going to love tonight’s episode! Plus, Fornell is back, and he’s a riot, especially his interactions with Gibbs.

On tonight’s episode, “The Tie That Binds,” after the NCIS team tracks evidence from the murder of a Navy captain to Ducky’s deceased mother, Ducky looks back and questions a pivotal life choice he made 37 years ago. Also, the team exchanges holiday gifts, and Gibbs spends Christmas dinner with Fornell. Adam Campbell returns as Young Ducky, and Juliette Angelo returns as Emily Fornell.

Find out what choice Ducky questions tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chopped Junior, American Housewife, Bull, MasterChef Canada, Aftermath, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

For the past two decades, Acorn Media has been bringing great British and Australian drama to U.S. audiences via home media. Last year the company launched their own subscription-based streaming service. The British crime drama The Level makes its U.S. premiere today on the streaming service. The six-part series centers around DS Nancy Devlin (Karla Crome, You, Me & the Apocalypse, Under the Dome), a decorated detective with the National Crime Division, who secretly witnesses the murder of Frank Le Saux (Philip Glenister, Life on Mars). Le Saux had been on the NCD’s radar for cocaine trafficking, and so Nancy soon finds herself on loan to the Brighton CID, who are investigating the murder. During the attack, Nancy was also shot, but she cannot risk going to the hospital and revealing that she is the missing witness to the murder the CID is looking for. Nancy struggles to keep this a secret while under the watchful eyes of DCI Michelle Newman (Lindsey Coulson, Murder Investigation Team) and CID partner DS Sam Martin (Noel Clarke, Doctor Who). And she also has to hide the fact that she has a personal connection to the victim — her childhood friendship with the Le Saux’s daughter Hayley (Laura Haddock, Da Vinci’s Demons). The rest of the cast includes Robert James-Collier (in his first series since playing Thomas on Downton Abbey) and Joe Absolom (Doc Martin).

I got a chance to check out the premiere, and by the end of the episode, I was hooked, anxious to see what happens next. It sets up interesting characters, dynamics, and mysteries and has some really tense moments. It immediately has you asking all kinds of questions, such as who killed Frank Le Saux? What was Le Saux going to ask Nancy before he was killed? Will Nancy be able to keep her connection to the victim and the crime scenes a secret? Who can Nancy trust? And who else is in danger from the killer?
