grimm311smallTonight is the 100th episode of Grimm, and it’s going to be an excellent night of television, because last week we were left hanging when those words every TV addict dreads flashed across the screen: “To Be Continued.” When the screen went black, Nick and Monroe had just had the ground cave beneath them while they searched in Germany for the spot the map from the keys led them. However, what they didn’t know was a group of Wesen was right behind them, hunting them because they don’t want the Grimm to get the information.

Meanwhile, back in Seattle, Captain Renard was at a rally for Dixon, where the highly dangerous Marwan was hiding in a nearby apartment building, waiting to take someone out. Marwan got his target and shot Dixon. While the Captain held him, waiting for the ambulance, we were left wondering why and what’s going to happen next.

Also in the episode, Adalind was less than pleased with Nick going on this quest because she feared he was going to get hurt. She then admitted she loved him and wanted to be with him, even if it ended up being a mistake. Nick and Adalind kissed and then had sex, which was definitely moving the story along quickly. I think that if Nick and Adalind really make a go at it, they could be a successful couple, seeing as both of them have changed drastically. Here’s hoping that the writers aren’t just setting us up for an emotional crash.

On tonight’s episode, “Into the Schwarzwald,” Nick and Monroe find a treasure in Germany that has been hidden for centuries. Back in Portland, Capt. Renard help Hank and Wu track down a deadly assassin who has thrown Portland into havoc. Little do they know that Eve is on a hunt of her own for the same man. Meanwhile, someone from Rosalee’s past tracks her down.

To see how this epic 100th episode plays out, tune in to NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, The Amazing Race, Sleepy Hollow, and Girl Meets World.

hawaiifiveo212smallThe last new episode of Hawaii Five-0 was tense and exciting and sad too. Grover went to Chicago to confront his old partner Clay, who Grover believes killed his wife when they were visiting Grover and his family in Hawaii months before. Grover broke into Clay’s house, knocked him out, tied him up, and then interrogated him, trying to break Clay into giving a confession. Clay held firm to his innocence, even with a smirk on his face. Grover then tried the tactic of catching Clay for something else if he couldn’t catch him for murder. Grover believed that Clay stole money from a big bust when they were partners, and he had the idea that Clay had hidden it somewhere in the house – in the walls, etc. While he was searching, Clay’s mistress-turned-girlfriend came home, and at first Grover was able to get Clay to get her to go away before she noticed anything amiss, but the second time she came home, Grover had to grab her and tie her up too.

In the end, he did indeed find the huge stash of cash, in the panels of the old car Clay had in the garage (the way Grover figured it out, by wondering why Clay had the old car in the garage and his new one outside in the cold, snowy Chicago winter, was pretty smart). Then Grover called the police, basically planning to get Clay AND himself arrested. Meanwhile, Chin and Kono were held at gunpoint and nearly killed when they drove through the backroads and fields to race Steve and Danny, who took the highway. They stumbled across two guy who were digging a place to put a dead cop. Thankfully, Steve and Danny drove out and found them just before the bad guys killed them.

I’m nervous about the whole Grover situation. I can’t see him being let go right away. He didn’t kill anyone (didn’t even really hurt Clay or the girlfriend), but he certainly kidnapped them and caused a lot of damage to the house. But from the description of this week’s episode, there’s NO mention of Grover at all. Surely we’ll find out what happened…right?

On tonight’s episode, “Hoa ‘inea (Misery Loves Company),” as Five-0 investigates a double homicide involving marital infidelity, McGarrett and the team recount their disastrous Valentine’s Day experiences. Chef Masaharu Morimoto guest stars as himself.

Find out what happened with Grover and hear some funny V-Day stories tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Amazing Race, American Diner Revival, Grimm, Second Chance, Blue Bloods, Guy & Hunter’s European Vacation, & Burgers, Brew & ’Que.

unforgettable2016smallI was so glad that A&E brought Unforgettable when I was sure it was going to be canceled after the last season ended. And this season has been great, even with the cast changes. I miss Eliot (Dallas Roberts) and Joanne (Jane Curtin) especially, but Alani “La La” Anthony as Delina the M.E., Kathy Najimy as Sandra the boss, and E.J. Bonilla as cutie Denny have been great additions. In the latest episode, the body of a young woman was found buried on the beach, and Carrie and Al found and arrested her killer and his accountant (or so they thought). Unfortunately, they were shot at and had to take cover from the bad guys and the coming hurricane in Precinct 51, which was closed for renovation with only an administrative assistant and a green cop (on the job literally four days) on the premises. The bad guys found them, but Denny and Jay drove through the storm to back them up, and they were able to take all the bad guys down, including the accountant…who turned out to be the actual big bad boss. I loved at the end when they met at the boardwalk and Carrie gave out shots to everyone, toasting to Al and to the others for coming to their assistance.

Tonight was supposed to be the two episodes leading up to next week’s final two of the season, but A&E decided to air four episodes tonight, which includes the season finale. I’m hoping that doesn’t mean that it’s the final episode of the SERIES, although since we haven’t heard any renewal news yet and they’re airing four episodes in one night, I have a feeling that news won’t be good. I really hope we get some resolution tonight on a few things. One, Carrie and Al. They’ve been hinting off and on all season that there’s something going on, although they’re either not exclusive or not serious or something, what with her (now ex) husband showing up a few times and their kiss. I WANT to see Carrie and Al kiss and become official, darn it! Also, I would love to get some resolution to Carrie’s sister’s murder. That story line has been a big part of her history since episode one.

On tonight’s first episode, “Game On,” when a young man turns up dead inside a popular haunted-house attraction, Carrie and Al are called in to investigate and soon find themselves in a world of high-stakes video games and hi-tech corporate espionage. Then on the second episode, “About Face,” when a hot lead turns up in a cold case of a missing surgeon, Carrie and Al find themselves on the trail of two con artists. But unmasking the truth may have explosive consequences.

On the third episode, “Bad Company,” when Captain Russo is suspected in the murder of an informant, Carrie and Al enter into a cat-and-mouse game with a crooked former cop. And finally, on the season finale, “Paranoid Android,” when a shooter on the loose triggers a flashback that doesn’t add up with Carrie’s perfect memory, the team at Major Crimes discovers that a nefarious conspiracy is at play and trained killers are among them.

Enjoy the mini-marathon and see how the season (possibly series?) ends tonight on A&E starting at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef: Junior, American Diner Revival, Hawaii Five-0, Hell’s Kitchen, Blue Bloods, & Burgers, Brew & ‘Que.

bluebloods115smallIt’s been one of those weeks where either myself or one of the kids are ill, making it an overall long and tiring week. I am looking forward to kicking back and relaxing tonight with some great television, and Blue Bloods definitely fits the bill.

Last week’s episode was a roller coaster for our favorite police family, as Frank struggled with his old partner publishing a book about the “good ol’ days,” because he felt that the book didn’t represent who he was today. Jamie and Eddie had a difference of opinion when Eddie signed them up for an undercover detail by bugging a detective nonstop, and that didn’t sit well with Jamie because he doesn’t want people thinking that he used his last name to get special treatment. Eddie explained that she doesn’t want to work the beat for the rest of her career, and they came to the conclusion that they would remain partners for now but that their future goals may find them going down separate paths.

Erin had the ultimate backbone of the episode when an investigator for her office was murdered while working on a case against a construction company with ties to the mob. All of the witnesses had mysteriously gone missing. Erin wasn’t going to let her friend die in vain, so she kept digging and discovered that it was actually the father of her ADA who’d been working with the mob – as was the ADA in proxy through his dad. In the end, Erin managed to bring everyone down, and I was impressed at how tough she was in order to solve her friend’s murder.

In my opinion, it wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing if Jamie and Eddie went on separate career paths, because then it would it open the door for a romantic relationship between them without the issue of them being partners getting in the way. Erin has always been one of my favorite characters because she is an excellent example of strength and intelligence for a female lead, which we need on television so that this up-and-coming generation of girls can see what they could be one day. This show always manages to teach us a lesson and also remind us of the importance of family and loyalty… All things we are short of in society as a whole.

On tonight’s episode, “Cursed,” when a local mobster is gunned down in his car, Danny and Baez try to get information from the mob’s low-level errand boy they find tied up in the trunk before the gang retaliates. Also, an NYPD officer asks for a new shield number to honor her late father, but Frank is conflicted, as it’s the same number as his deceased son, Joe’s.

Find out what the Regans have to teach us this week tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching MasterChef: Junior, Hell’s Kitchen, Hawaii Five-0, and Undercover Boss.

hawaiifiveo18smallIt’s been a month since the last Hawaii Five-0 due to the holidays, and it was a tough one. The brother of a promising young boxer was killed, and the prime suspect was the reigning boxing champion – a loud, brash “bad boy” of boxing. Turned out the guy was not quite like he portrayed himself in public, and he wasn’t the killer. The killer turned out to be a man Gabriel hired to get security access to the fight from the victim, but when he wouldn’t give it to them, the guy killed him because he believed that’s what Gabriel wanted him to do. In the end, the victim’s brother got in the ring and nearly went down, but he ended up winning the fight like we all had to know he’d do. It turned out that Gabriel wanted in because his men were going to kill the heads of all the crime families, who were all in attendance. Five-0 saved them all, but in the end, Gabriel stopped the ambulance carrying the one who’d made a deal with him and ended up killing him. This guy is so dirty. He needs to be caught…soon! Especially since he’s the one ultimately responsible for Adam’s predicament.

Speaking of Adam… Elsewhere during the episode, he and Kono spent some time together before he had to surrender himself to the prison. He went to the temple and prayed (I’m assuming that’s what it was…) and then they had a sweet, sad good-bye scene outside the prison gates. He gave her his ring for safekeeping and asked her to wait, telling her a story of his grandparents, who were separated for three years when his grandfather was drafted to the Japanese Navy. Eighteen months is going to be a long time, but I can’t imagine Kono won’t wait for him. I hope she does. I love Adam and adore them together!

On tonight’s episode, “Kuleana (One’s Personal Sense of Responsibility),” while Steve and Danny attend a couples retreat in Maui to work on their partnership issues, Kamekona’s dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

Find out how Kamekona’s past comes back tonight on CBS at 9/8c.
