bullseyesmallI’ll be honest… The only reason I originally tuned in to Bullseye was to watch the always sexy Kellan Lutz, but my fiance and I absolutely love watching the insane challenges. This show is like Fear Factor without all the eating challenges, which I hated watching, so it’s a win-win. Last week, I loved watching them bounce down the hill in those giant balls. It was hilarious and looked fun — I would be a little freaked out about the water in there though, because knowing me, I’d probably choke on it. Overall, this show keeps me wanting more, and it’s easy television to relax to, so if you haven’t given it a chance, you most definitely should.

On tonight’s episode, “Defying Gravity,” the hosts welcome eight new contestants as they participate in the Drift Car, Defying Gravity, and Puppetmaster challenges, all of which involve using their bodies like human darts. At the end of the night, the contestant that comes out on top will go home with $50,000.

To see how this week’s contestants face the intense challenges, tune in to FOX at 9/8c.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 6/3/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

hotincleveland63smallThrough six seasons, I’ve enjoyed the stories and antics of Melanie, Joy, Victoria, and Elka on Hot in Cleveland. They started out as three women from L.A. who ended up living in Cleveland when their plane had to land there, and they discovered that they loved the attention (from men LOL ) they were getting. Because things weren’t going their way in L.A., they decided to stay, ending up renting a house that came with its own caretaker/roommate: Elka. There’s been love, heartbreak, and the friendship between all four of them has grown over the six seasons, and I’m very sad to see the show coming to an end tonight.

Going into the final episode, Joy and Bob are engaged. Will the wedding actually happen? Will Melanie and Victoria finally find love again? Will everyone stay in Cleveland, or will Melanie, Joy, and Victoria end up back in California? I’m sad to see it go, but I can’t wait to see what happens tonight!

On tonight’s extended finale, “Vegas, Baby/I Hate Goodbyes,” Joy and Bob’s wedding plans are derailed when they learn there is a baby available for adoption in Las Vegas; Victoria connects with a long-lost love.

Catch the 90-minute series finale and see how it all ends tonight on TV Land at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef, Melissa & Joey, Brother vs Brother, Bullseye, Mystery Diners, & Craziest Restaurants in America.

If We controlled Your Remote… 9/15/14

It’s hard to believe that we are almost halfway through September already, although I am really enjoying the cooler fall temperatures. The cooler temperatures and leaves falling can only mean one thing: new fall TV!! Let’s see what we’re recommending tonight to get you ready for a night of new television.

masterchef2014smallMasterChef has been very interesting this season with a few home cooks that I never imagined lasting staying until the end. Last week, we watched as Christian laid his heart on the line to stay, but he didn’t make it and was sent home. Then we saw Cutter battle to stay in the competition, and unfortunately, he too was sent home. Now we are left with Leslie, Courtney, and Elizabeth—out of the three, I definitely want Elizabeth to win. Here’s the thing… Courtney and Leslie both have terrible personalities, and I believe they would throw their own mother in front of a bus if it got them the win. Elizabeth is actually a great cook but also a good person, and whether that’s important to you or not, I need to feel like the winner deserves it on all levels.

On tonight’s two-part finale, “Top 3 Compete/Winner Chosen,” the three remaining contestants, with a little help from a few other home cooks, will create dishes for a judging panel of renowned chefs representing all 50 states. The home cook with the most number of votes will move on in the competition, while the remaining two home cooks will face the pressure test, during which they must complete three classic American desserts. The home cook with the best desserts will move on to the finals. Later, in the final challenge in the MasterChef kitchen, the top two home cooks will have one last chance to prove to the judges that they deserve the MasterChef title. After evaluation of the final dishes, the judges will reveal America’s next MasterChef, and the deserving home cook will walk away with a trophy, a book deal, and the $250,000 grand prize.

To see who cooks their way into the top spot, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching American Ninja Warrior: USA vs the World and Dancing with the Stars.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/8/14

I was out shopping yesterday, and not only was there Halloween stuff out…but there was Christmas stuff! Honestly, I am not ready to even begin thinking about that yet, so I wish retailers would hold off on their crazy push to get our money. To take my mind off the endless siphon of money that the holidays is bound to bring, let’s see what we’re recommending tonight.

masterchef2014smallEvery week of MasterChef, it gets harder and harder to say goodbye to someone because everyone is so good. Last week was a rough episode, and I was surprised that Leslie’s team actually won, especially because of the arguing during the challenge. Watching the pressure test was hard because at first, I thought Jaime would win because she’s a pastry chef, but unfortunately, she cracked under pressure and her croquembouche was sloppy. Jaime going home was sad because she was so nice to most of the contestants and I think she had real talent, but it was great to hear Ramsay say she could work in one of his restaurants.

On tonight’s double episode, “Top 5 Compete/Top 4 Compete,” after the remaining home cooks are surprised with a few VIP guests in the kitchen, each home cook will create a dish inspired by one of their loved ones. The home cook with the best dish will be safe from elimination and move on in the competition, while the remaining home cooks must go with their guts as they prepare rare protein dishes and battle for a spot in the top four. Later, the judges announce a final team challenge that will determine who will advance to the top three.

To see which chefs manage to cook their way to the top three, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Running Wild with Bear Grylls, American Ninja Warrior, Teen Wolf, and Eating America with Anthony Anderson.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 8/25/14

While most of you have kids back in school already, here in Canada, our kids don’t go back until next week. This is the last week of summer and also one of the busiest times as we get everything ready for school. To keep my mind off the insanity, let’s see what we’re recommending you watch on TV tonight.

Megan’s Choice #1

masterchef2014smallThis season of MasterChef has been incredibly unpredictable as far as who goes home and who manages to hang on by the skin of their teeth. Last week was a perfect example of this when Daniel, Jaimee, Cutter, and Willie ended up in the pressure test. That was a pressure test from hell—first poach an egg, then egg yolk ravioli, and finally a cheese souffle. All three of those take talent, and it was a blood bath. Willie managed to sing his way to a perfect poached egg in the first round. In the second round, a surprise was Cutter making a perfect egg yolk ravioli. Finally, we had Jaimee and Daniel go head to head on a souffle, with Jaimee just slightly nudging Daniel out. I was floored! Honestly, I believed that Cutter should have gone home out of all of them, but that man seems to have horseshoes up his butt lately. In the beginning, I really liked him, but my problem with him became his attitude and his inconsistency. For the ones who are left now, I am hoping that Jaimee or Willie win it all, but I think in the end, it’s going to be Elizabeth and Courtney fighting for the title.

On tonight’s episode, “Top 7 Compete,” before the next mystery box challenge, the remaining home cooks will receive a little hometown encouragement, as they head into a savory apple dish challenge. The home cook who creates the best dish will not only be safe from elimination but will also play a key role in the next challenge. Then, the remaining home cooks will be split into pairs as they prepare a variety of pot stickers.

To watch these talented home cooks battle it out again, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
