I’m really digging Prodigal Son on FOX. Malcolm is a little bit (a lot bit… LOL) crazy, but given his father and family history, it’s no surprise. Seeing him go flying through the window during a nightmare last episode was pretty shocking. The case was average. For the most part, the cases aren’t the highlights of this show, IMO. Some of it, like the brain being taken and Malcolm elbowing the guy off the roof of the building, was fun and unexpected, but really, the best parts are the interactions between Malcolm and the police team and learning about Malcolm’s past through his nightmares. This week, I loved him handing out the suckers to the team – including the ME, who is so cute in her crush on him – and holy heck! What’s going on with his mother?? Did she really KNOW about his father’s serial killing when it was happening, or is that just a tease right now? Sure seems like she knew, or at least suspected, but I dunno… She’s interesting, that’s for sure!
On tonight’s episode, “Designer Complicity,†as Malcolm’s childhood memories start to take shape, he realizes his father’s killing spree may not have been a surprise to everyone in his family. While Malcolm continues to investigate his past, the murder of a famous model and social media influencer sends him, Gil, Dani, and JT on the hunt for a stalker with a creepy eye for design.
