I gotta say…I was a bit miffed at Chicago Med and how little Natalie was punished over her actions with the little boy a couple of episodes ago, when she locked herself in the exam room with him and gave him antibiotics over his parents’ adamant, visceral refusal. I mean, I didn’t agree with the parents at all, but still… As a parent myself, I’d have knocked the doctor out if she’d done that without my consent. Did it help that she was right? Sure, maybe a little bit. But what if she’d been wrong? I get how the hospital had to cover its behind by getting the paperwork pushed through to show they had the right to treat the boy, but even after she got arrested, she was only let out and got away with it because she’d been right. I’m hoping that the terrible character we’re dealing with now goes away soon, that maybe it’s still the TBI. I’d hoped that when she kicked Phillip to the curb, we’d get the Natalie we used to know and love back, not this person who is suffering from horribly, terribly bad judgment. I mean, COME ON. To get together with him in the first place, when his wife died not long before that?? Argh. But whatever. I can move on. 😉

Speaking of moving on… I like that Sharon decided to meet up with her ex-husband and at least give it a chance that she can find some peace, even if it never goes any further than that. And oh boy… Noah brought home the wannabe gang member girl. Can’t wait to see how that story goes!

On tonight’s episode, “Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings,” Dr. Charles and Dr. Halstead sink their teeth into a bloodthirsty case. Dr. Marcel and Maggie throw a traditional crawfish boil for the staff. A new relationship blossoms while another is left on rocky ground.

Find out which relationships are developing tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

Tonight, FOX kicks off the new drama Almost Family, the latest series from executive producer Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) and writer Annie Weisman (About A Boy, Desperate Housewives). Julia Bechley (Brittany Snow, Pitch Perfect) has grown up as the only child of renowned fertility doctor Leon Benchley (Timothy Hutton, American Crime, Leverage)…at least that’s what she believed. Julia’s world is about to come crashing down when it’s discovered that her father used his own sperm to help over 100 women become pregnant. Being his partner in the clinic, Julia now has to deal with the fallout, both emotionally and legally.

As Julia deals with her father’s betrayal and starts to explore the breadth of the incident, she is upset to discover that one of her potential siblings is former best friend, now lawyer, Edie Palmer (Megalyn Echikunwoke, The Following, 90210) – the two had a falling out when Edie stole and married the guy Julia loved. Another one of the potential “Benchley Babies” is former Olympic athlete Roxy Doyle (Emily Osment, The Kominsky Method, Young & Hungry), who wouldn’t be that upset to discover that the parents who are still trying to make money off of her former glory might not be her real parents. For better or for worse, this unusual situation has brought these sisters together. They’ve started to form a bond and will be the ones to help one another weather the storm of their forever-changed lives. And this nontraditional family will likely grow as additional siblings come out of the woodwork.

I quite enjoyed tonight’s premiere – this series has a really great cast. In addition to establishing the main premise of the series, the first episode also sets up some other interesting storylines and character dynamics to explore. It doesn’t make light of this serious situation – it seems like Leon isn’t going to just get a slap on the wrist – but the episode does have some really fun moments. I look forward to seeing more of the fallout of this scandal and how the characters deal with it.

On tonight’s premiere, “Pilot,” only child Julia finds her life turned upside-down when her father makes a startling revelation.

Join the Benchley family tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Schooled, Modern Family, Single Parents, Stumptown, Survivor, The Masked Singer, and American Horror Story: 1984.

On the previous episode of SEAL Team, the team jumped out of the plane in order to hike to their target, but Ray’s chute didn’t open. It took a while for them to figure out that his backup HAD opened, but they believed he’d landed in enemy territory. The higher-ups said to finish their objective and Ray would meet them at the exit point. But Jason and the others talked to Blackburn and got the okay to go into enemy territory and find him. It was a very good thing they did, because it wasn’t long before he was found and on the run. Although I did love him hanging in the tree and trying not to move while the two men were below him. If it weren’t for the dang knife he’d dropped! While on the run, Ray sneaked into a small village (which made me very happy to live where I do…) and ended up taking a woman hostage when she walked into her home and found him. He threatened her life if she yelled out to the other villagers, but his crisis of faith finally came to a head when (I think?) she started praying. He realized he couldn’t just execute her, that if this was God’s plan, then he’d either get caught or escape before she could alert them. He finally let her go and ran out the back, and just before he could get captured or killed, his team appeared. Then Mandy spoke to her counterpart in that area and was able to convince her (ie: bribe her with the leaked location of a terrorist her country wanted, even though Mandy giving her the location would be without her boss’s boss’s boss’s or whatever consent) to send in a rescue helicopter to grab the team – and grab them they did. They lowered a rope, and each member clipped themselves to it, and off it went, the team flying on the rope in a row below it! It was awesome.

Other big news was Stella came to visit Clay to see how he was doing. He told her all about Swanny and the fight he’s now undertaken on Swanny’s behalf. It was a good visit, and I actually have hope that MAYBE there will be a reunion between the two of them. Clay also visited his father in the hopes that maybe his dad will take the fight on himself and use his position at the public access TV to help out. And FINALLY, Lisa went to visit her sister in order to invite her to her OCS graduation, and the visit didn’t go well. Her sister blames her for their other sister’s death, and she was kind of a witch to Lisa. She didn’t show at the graduation, which meant Lisa had no one there to support her and see her graduate…until Clay slid into the reserved seat. It was a sweet moment.

So tonight’s finale… Stella and Ash Spencer are back, so hopefully we’ll see some movement on the Clay/Stella and Clay/Swanny’s medal/TBIs fronts. And Commander Shaw is back, which means he’s still going to try to split up the team. I mean, even if he does, it can’t last, since without the team, there wouldn’t be a show, and it’s already been renewed for next season. Still… I hope if he does split them up, it doesn’t last long into next season!

On tonight’s episode, “Never Out of the Fight,” Bravo team’s future is on the line when Commander Shaw recommends they be split up, but Jason’s unit has one final mission to prove him wrong.

Find out Commander Shaw’s decision tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

SEAL Team is doing their damnedest to pull on our heartstrings lately. First there’s Ray, who is having a crisis of faith (and apparently that leads him to drink heavily, fight with his wife, and flirt with another woman…). Then there’s Lisa, who is having a rough go of it at OCS. Then there was the bombing that sent Clay home on medical leave. Thank goodness he’s healing! And of course, then there’s Commander Shaw, who seems to have it out for Bravo Team.

But last week… Last week was killer on the emotions. First, the team was sent to Mali to recover the body of a marine who was killed in action. Luckily they were able to get to him before the extremists. And finally, Clay and Swanny… Oh my… Clay accompanied Swanny to the VA hospital, where Swanny was hoping to convince the doctor to diagnose him with a traumatic brain injury, which wasn’t diagnosed while he was still in the military. The doctor explained to him that because of that, it wasn’t something he could diagnose and therefore treat. They would just have to continue treating the symptoms. Unfortunately, while Clay stayed inside to wait for Swanny’s prescriptions, Swanny went out to the truck and shot himself, leaving Clay to find his body when he went outside. It was an absolutely heartbreaking moment.

There are only three episodes left, including tonight’s. So many balls still in the air… Will Lisa graduate OCS? Will Ray get his head out of his ass? Will Clay heal enough to rejoin Bravo? For that matter, will there still BE a Bravo Team after Commander Shaw gets finished with them? I have a feeling these last three episodes are going to be exciting – and scary, since the show has yet to be renewed and according to TVLine, a renewal could go either way! Boo!!

On tonight’s episode, “Rock Bottom,” the tension between Jason and Ray comes to a head, and Lisa faces her final test in officer candidate school.

To see how Lisa does in OCS, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

It isn’t very often that I’m super excited about a normal episode of TV (normal as in regular season, not premieres or finales). But tonight’s SEAL Team is coming off a really dramatic one, and I can’t wait for tonight’s. Last week, the team was still deployed, their “Gucci” deployment to the Philippines, where they stay in a hotel while they train Filipino soldiers. It does seem like a cushy deployment – no one shooting at them, lots of downtime eating food from street vendors and drinking in bars. Ray has totally turned a 180 – flirting with a woman who I believe is an American…soldier of some kind? He’s drinking more and more – and hard liquor, not beer. He even lied to Jason about needing to go call Naima, when in reality he went to the bar to drink and talk to the woman. I’m so not liking him right now. Meanwhile, Davis is still at OCS, and last week didn’t go so well for her. It was basically “Hell” training, in which they had to go in a building and put out fires. Something must have happened in Davis’s past, because she clearly froze when she learned about it, and when she got inside and faced the actual fire, ready to go with the hose, she panicked and passed out. I’m wondering if there was a fire when she was a kid and a family member died or something.

But the biggest part of last week’s episode was the end… During their free time at night, the team was at the bar, having a good time, when suddenly there was an explosion. There were dead and injured, but our team and Mandy were all okay, including Sonny, who was outside talking on the phone with Davis. They immediately began searching for survivors and helping the wounded. Clay was all on top of it, running outside to start looking there. He reunited two little brothers, helping find the younger hiding in a truck. But then suddenly, he heard a phone ringing, and he realized it was coming from a backpack near him. Before he could react, it blew, throwing him back and causing severe injuries. He was so critically injured, in fact, that he was airlifted back to the States.

So now the team wants payback, not only for Clay but for the innocent people who were injured and killed. They want to find out who was behind the explosions, whether they were aimed at the team specifically or if it was just a coincidence that they were there. They’ll have to do that while under the watchful eye of Commander Shaw, who it feels like is out to get them – for mistakes made in Mexico, for Clay leaving behind a radio that the Chinese could get their hands on, etc… So hopefully they can find the answers they’re looking for and avoid getting disbanded by the commander.

On tonight’s episode, “Payback,” Bravo Team is out for revenge as they search for the person responsible for the surprise bomb attack that left one of their own in peril.

To see if the team can find answers and revenge tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Battle of the Ages, The Amazing Race, Dinner Takes All, Gone, Guy’s Grocery Games, & Whiskey Cavalier.
