Sometimes, there are no words for how much sheer joy television brings us viewers. Fans of Gilmore Girls were certainly that happy when they learned the show was returning. For me? I’m not sure I’ve ever been as happy as I was when I learned they were bringing Prison Break back from the dead, even if it is just a short 9-episode season! I was SO SAD when the series ended after only four seasons, especially with how they left the group from Fox River… Michael was killed, and Sara was pregnant… I mean, come on!

Wait. Michael’s dead? Maybe, maybe not. 😉 I mean, it wouldn’t be Prison Break without Michael Scofield, right? I love that all our favorite characters are back: Michael, Lincoln, Sara, Sucre, T-Bag, C-Note, Paul Kellerman… I really am on the edge of my seat, hoping things will work out with Michael and Sara, since Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) is also on the show as Sara’s HUSBAND! What the what??

Kyle got to talk to some of the cast in the press room at SDCC this past summer. Check it out here on NoReruns.net

On tonight’s episode, “Ogygia,” it’s been seven years since Michael was presumed dead, but when clues suggest that he might still be alive, his brother Lincoln reunites with Sara to help track down the truth. The path leads Lincoln to Yemen, as Sucre, T-Bag, and C-Note are pulled back into the action to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever.

See what clues lead Lincoln to believe Michael’s alive tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, NCIS, American Housewife, Trial & Error, Imaginary Mary, Chicago Fire, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

They blew up the lab!! Did that freak anyone else out at the end of last week’s Bones, when the lab at the Jeffersonian literally got blown to smithereens?? What a way to take down a set when a show is ending, huh? LMAO Anyway, through the viewpoint of four different characters, we followed each of them from the wedding reception up until the bomb went off. I’m totally going out of order, but here were the highlights: Cam’s purse was messed with at the wedding reception, and her keycard for the lab platform was stolen, which is ultimately how the bombs got smuggled into the lab in the middle of the night. Two prisoners escaped from prison, and Kovac (who was after Booth and his family and killed Max) was one of them – he then killed the other man and escaped. At the reception, Avalon warned Booth that Bones was in significant danger. He started to shrug it off but ultimately took the warning to heart. Bones and Angela had a sweet moment of friendship at the reception. Aubrey asked Jessica to move to LA with him when he goes for his new job. She not only turned him down but she broke up with him completely. Oh, and Angela’s pregnant! I figured that out as soon as she started puking her guts up at Zach’s trial. Speaking of Zach… Caroline did all she could to sway the judge in his favor, even though she was the PROSECUTION. It was sweet. And it worked. Between the evidence and all the testimony, Zach is a free man – as soon as he finishes serving the 13 months for helping the killer in the first place. Finally, back to the bomb… Bones had an epiphany moments before the bomb was discovered to be at the lab, and she ran off to grab the evidence, and that left her, Booth, Angela, and Hodgins (who was slower to get out because of his wheelchair)…TRAPPED IN THE LAB WHEN IT EXPLODED! What the what?!

Obviously they can’t all die, right? I trust Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan and their crew more than that. But will they all come away virtually unscathed? And will they find Kovac and whoever was helping him? Is Cam really leaving the Jeffersonian like she said, at least for six months while she and Arastoo do some traveling? Will Angela’s baby be named Pookie Jr.? I know all (okay, most…) of those answers, since I’ve seen the finale. But you’ll have to find out for yourself. If you’re a fan of the show, I urge you not to miss tonight’s episode. It was made for the fans by the biggest fans of the show, Hart and Stephen, and it’s definitely not-to-be-missed!

On tonight’s episode, “The End in the End,” with Kovac still at large, the team searches for evidence to track him down. After Brennan experiences a setback, the rest of the team must figure out how to find Kovac without her, putting everything she has ever taught them to the test. When all signs point to Kovac having outside help, as well as a hideout, Booth and Brennan go searching for him.

Catch the final episode of a terrific series tonight on FOX at 9:01/8:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing NCIS, Trial & Error, Chicago Fire, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

Recap/Review – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – 2/3/17

This week’s episode – and season finale – of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (titled: “Can Josh Take a Leak of Faith?”) is all about preparations for the not-so-long-awaited wedding and some revelations about Rebecca’s past.

Recap:

Rebecca is in a great mood, as she is getting married soon and her father, Silas, has come to witness the happy union. When Paula comes over to give Rebecca her DIY veil, they break into a heavy metal number called “What a Rush To Be A Bride.” Josh is also excited – but for the wedding to be over. He wants to start his life with Rebecca, and she tries to convince him that weddings are an important step too. When she puts on the veil and looks into the mirror, she speaks aloud, saying this is what happy looks like.

We’re thrown into a flashback from seven years ago, when she’s wearing a veil and standing before a guy named Robert. In her memory, she speaks to him, but actually she is living this moment in the present time, where Rebecca calls Josh “Robert.” He questions this, and she makes up a story about a new client whose last name is Robert and has a case exactly like Erin Brockovich.

Recap/Review – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – 1/27/17

This week’s episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (titled: “Is Josh Free in Two Weeks?”) really brings on the crazy, when we find Rebecca trying to plan a DIY wedding in less than two weeks.

Recap:

Rebecca is trying on dresses at home since she has sped up her wedding plans to get everything done in two weeks. She’s recapping everything to her delivery guy, Patrick (Seth Green). No wedding planner wants to take her wedding on since it’s too soon and “binders.” It appears that Rebecca’s mother is no help since she’s getting injections in her face and won’t be recovered until the wedding. And she can’t wear her mother’s dress since she had burned all her “fat clothes” (Rebecca’s mom was 5 months pregnant when she got married). And when Rebecca goes to her Matron of Honor, Paula, she’s cramming with Sunil and other classmates for their finals. In their new friendship, instead of Rebecca pushing herself on Paula, she tells her she can handle it herself and leaves Paula to study.

At home, she’s researching how to throw herself a wedding, and when Heather mentions “DIY,” Rebecca’s crazy switch flips on. Using her new search terms, she finds a lot of websites dedicated to DIY weddings. She finds a website dedicated to a Nova Socinian couple named Dustin and Sasha, who happen to have a checklist for everything they did. Rebecca vows to do the exact same wedding all by herself. She mentions to Heather that 50 people have RSVP’d “yes” so far, but none of those people are her father.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 1/26/17

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

Tonight, the new series Riverdale premieres on The CW. This live-action series is based on the characters from Archie Comics, but it looks like this version will be a much darker take on the material – kind of a Dawson’s Creek meets Twin Peaks. As the series opens, summer is coming to a close when the town of Riverdale experiences the tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom. As the investigation into the mysterious death is underway, the new school year begins for aspiring musician Archie Andrews (KJ Apa, Shortland Street); budding writer Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse, The Suite Life on Deck); soon-to-be-famous singer Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray); girl-next-door Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart, Surviving Jack), who has a crush on Archie; new student from New York Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes); and Riverdale’s Queen Bee Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch), who is the twin sister of the deceased. Some of the other main/recurring characters include Riverdale’s young music teacher, Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel, Rush); Archie’s father Fred (Luke Perry, Beverly Hills, 90210); Veronica’s mother Hermione (Marisol Nichols, Teen Wolf, 24); and Betty’s overbearing mother Alice (Mädchen Amick, Witches of East End).

What mysteries, dangers, and secrets lurk in the shadows of this seemingly quiet, sleepy little town? I’m really looking forward to finding out! I read a bunch of the Archie comics growing up, and this looks like an interesting, more modern approach to the material. At the same time, based on the trailers, it kind of reminds me of the type of shows I enjoyed on The WB in the 90s.

On tonight’s premiere, “Chapter One: The River’s Edge,” Riverdale reels from the tragic death of Jason Blossom, a high school student; new student Veronica Lodge arrives in town; Cheryl Blossom stirs up trouble among the others while keeping a few secrets of her own.

Meet the gang from Riverdale tonight on The CW at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Grey’s Anatomy, My Kitchen Rules, Top Chef, and Colony.
